Well, I'm here and I'm here with a question!

Ahem.

Please give me story plot ideas. I haven't been able to come up with anything interesting. I would love if anyone could give me plots? Several plots I have written are, to put it simply, "school drama with animals" and "teenagers gain magical powers to become super" and "griffin riders."

A bit ordinary.

Any other ideas out there for you 'apiring authors'?

Thank you for all help given.

You need to have a whole world in your head to truly write something interesting.

Hmm, but what sort of world? I'm struggling to come up with my own one, not a clinche one used a thousand times. I'm trying not to copy anyone else!

But thank you, Gared. I will keep that in mind.

Hmm.

I would read other books, to get ideas. Like "oh, that charecter was amazing" or "oh, I like this twist" ect. Plot lines are a fickle thing, and they have to be unique to you.

You don't have to have a whole world in your head--at first.

For Sarah Secret, I had to write tidbits down so that I didn't forget them. And now, finally, it's just starting to form. Sometimes, you might need to keep part of that world on paper so that you don't forget.

For a good plotline..I'm not sure that there's anything I can do to help. Plotlines are different for each person. Trust me. So just get some ideas, and, if Fantasy, like it seemed you were going for,      I can share some tips. 1. Fantasy elves are overdone, and they're basically just humans with attributes that live long. What can make elves feel like elves? How can you show their differences? The language they speak? What is beating in their veins?  Or if not, try 2.                                                    2. If you're making a fantasy book, certain creatures might be a little overdone. Try to use more of..uncommon creatures.

And that's all I got! Hopefully, these will help decide the world or setting you put a plot in. But you should probably get inspired first. Trust me--it'll be fun.

Darling, as an award-winning author, I can tell you...

... that you should a) write everything down and b) start writing now

DO IT

Combine all of your ideas. Just get an outline on paper.

Just start writing. Poke around this magical place known as the CB. Read Writing Magic and Writer to Writer: From Think to Ink both by Gail Carson Levine. I think those will help you out the most now.

Also, try taking random things from different books, movies, events in real life, etc. and blending them all together in a book which YOU write.

Hope this helps! :)

Maybe you should research things that intrest you, or just go off and try writing about a chracter that you want to develop, then add a plot twit, or, something that does not happen every day.
