Chatterbox: Inkwell

Warriors RP, hope

Warriors RP, hope you'll join...

Sound familiar, anybody?

This is a reboot of my (and a lot of my Gen's) firt RP, courtesy of moi. I'm gonna make some tweaks, like the plot needs a lot of help. To read up on the origianal thing, go to:

http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/inkwell/node/184020

There are two Clans, SunClan and MoonClan. Here are the spots open for both Clans:

SunClan:

Leader:

Deputy:

Medicine cat:

Medicine cat apprentice/second Med. cat:

7-10 Warriors, Queens and Deputy count, ask for more Warrior spots.

Apprentices vary according to how many warriors there are.

ONE APPRENTICE TAKEN

There can be any amount of Queens, but keep in mind that they count for Warrior spots, as well. I suggest 1-3. A Queen cannot have an apprentice until she is out of the nursery, and if they have an apprentice at the time they move into the nursery the apprentice goes to a different mentor.

MoonClan:

Leader:

Deputy:

Medicine cat:

Medicine cat apprentice/second Med. cat:

7-10 Warriors, Queens and Deputy count, ask for more Warrior spots.

Apprentices vary according to how many warriors there are.

ONE QUEEN TAKEN

I encourage you to have two charries, and also may at least one be male? Kits are a package deal with their mother, and they must be younger than six moons, 'cause that's when they become an apprentice.

Here's the charrie sheet:

Name:

Age (in moons):

Gender:

Rank:

Personality:

Appearance:

Relationships:

Other:

~~~~~~
Here are my charrie's sheets:
Name: Beetlepaw
Age (in moons): 7
Gender: Male
Rank: Warrior apprentice
Personality: He is energetic, excitable, and bouncy, but around his crush, (female med cat apprentice, please?) he becomes more quiet and a bit shy.
Appearance: Short ginger fur, a light gash on his nose,white belly fur, and a white muzzle.
Relationships: Anybody can make parents, a sister, and his crush. (and his mentor!)
Other: N/A
I've got to go, I'll make my queen and her kits later.
Ummm... Okay. I'm confused.
Firstly, I'm not the one that posted under Somebody Nobody. Why did you assume it was me?? I feel attacked.
Secondly, my name was never Darkpaw. I was Soulpaw from the start. Please do not jump to conclusions, because that is how conflicts begin. Just sort this our peacefully. It's not a big deal, so please don't make it one.
I don't you think you had anything to do with this, Kestrel! SN was just pointing something out to Lea, and I didn't see anyone even mention you there.
@EVERYONE!!! Coco is working on a post and we should get started today or tomorrow. If she does not do this, I will start it for her, as she is very busy with NaNo.
OK, sorry it took me so long to post. What with NaNo and all, I haven't been able to post. @Kaleidoscope Gryphon and Dragon (and Cho) thanks for helping me out/filling in the GM spot while I was gone. Dragon, Lea's Darkpaw came first, and then Daisy made Darkpaw and changed his name to Shadepaw, but who's the third Darkpaw?
Thanks to all, and everyone who asked to join can join, (I really like the idea of Beetlepaw's competition thanks Lea! And thank you for Featherpaw, Little Reader. I really like her!)
submitted by Scylla
(November 5, 2016 - 12:35 pm)
I think he should go without a mate, unless someone else joins during the roleplay.
NOTE: ORANGEBLOSSOM IS AN NPC (Non-Player-Charrie) SISTER OF FALCONHEART AND WRENTAIL!!!
Falconheart~
Honeylark flicks her tail towards me. "Well, you're up this morning, so you can go instead of Orangeblossom."
I twitch my whiskers. "Why, isn't Orangeblossom here?" Honeylark sighs. "She ran off somewhere this morning. To go hunting, I guess. But in truth, I have no idea."
"Could she have gone to fetch some herbs for Clearpool? She does often hang around the medicine cat den."
"I dunno, maybe ... We're waiting for Skytracker and Thistlewing. Thistlewing is getting Featherpaw. Skytracker is at dirtplace."
I nod, watching Bumblepaw flex his claws beside me. "When are we leaving?" He growls. "Soon." I mew patiently.
Wrentail says she dosn't see why Cricketstar gave him to me. She says were as different as Sunstar and Moonstar. I hope that means I'm like Sunstar.
His sister, Moonstar, became jealous of him because he was taught by a StarClan mentor. She declared war on him because of it. Luckily, we have strong leaders who won't declare war for no reason.
Namely, my father, Cricketstar. I hope to make Bumblepaw a strong warrior. One who will respect his clanmates.
Unfortunately, that's not one of his strong points currently. Skytracker pads out from dirtplace as Thistlewing nudges Featherpaw from the apprentices den.
Honeylark purrs as she sees Skytracker approaching. My heart gives a twinge of jealousy. Honeylark is a pretty cat, the deputy, smart, and in love with Skytracker.
I mean, I like Skytracker. He's a nice guy. But I can't help but flare up at him inside when I see them together. I try to be happy for them, but I can't quite make it feel geniune.
They pad off, side by side out of camp, tails twined together, whispering sweet nothings into each others ears. I can tell that I look exactly like Bumblepaw right now.
Thistlewing pads beside me. "How's training going with you and Bumblepaw? Want to do battle training later?"
I nod. "Sure. It'd be good for Bumblepaw." Bumblepaw glares back at me.
Oh, okay. I'm going to try a more literal style of writing to see if I like it. (Is it strange that Littlestar is the only adult tom in MoonClan?)
Littlestar~
The sun is rising. I sit at the top of the Highrock, surveying the camp. Jaydream is assigning patrols as the camp begins to wake up, warriors ambling out of the den and waking up their apprentices.
I jump down from the Highrock to meet Jaydream. "I'll take Owlwings and Silvercloud on the dawn patrol," I tell her. I need something to do.
"Alright," she says.
"Owlwings! Silvercloud!" I call. "Come with me on the dawn patrol."
They come to me and we set out.
It is the height of Greenleaf. The sounds of many prey can be heard throughout our pine forest, chirping and scuffling and moving about, but we do not stop to hunt. The pine trees leave wide patches of scorching sunlight, and we skirt the trunks of the trees to avoid the worst of the heat. Leaf-bare will be more kind to us. It always has, although SunClan complains of their prey becoming short. That has never happened to us.
The forest gradually changes from stark pine trees to SunClan's oaks and we reach the border. It is all clear. There is no scent but our own on this side of the border. We are about to head back to camp when I hear a voice—a SunClan voice—behind me.
(Cue someone's SunClan patrol meeting Littlestar's)
Hallia says oohf. Aw, did you fall down? I'll help you up.
OMK YEEEESSSSSSS I WISH I SAW THIS SOONER! STARTING!
~Ravencry
I lick my paw slowly. My ice-blue eyes glimmered in the morning light. "Morning Ravencry." The silver older she-cat yawned, revealing sharp white teeth. Her large eyes sparkled in the morning light, reflecting mine.
"Morning," the sound vibrated deep in my throat as I licked the muck off my pads.
Doekit ran out of the Queen's cave after her, her samll jaws opening wide to reveal very sharp kit teeth. She stopped and shook out her shoft grey fur, and mummbled, "morning Ravencry." I lifted a paw and tussled the kit's fur playfully. She meowed and pawed half-awake at my paw.
Since Frostflower and I had our kits around the same time, we each see them all as our own, and we look after all of them togeather. We're sortta like sisters, in a way. When if first came to the clan as an aprintace she was my first friend. Of course she become a warrior long before I did, I was an aprintance for longer then I should because I was a rouge, but we still stayed close friends. When Frostflower got greencough, I took care of her kits while she recovered in the medicen cat's den. (Is that okay Coconut?)
"Come along, Doekit," Frostflower said sweetly, giving me an amused look. Doekit shook out her fur again and bounded off after her mother.
I chuckled and slowly rose to my feet as I saw Jaydream walk from the warrior's den. "Do you need my help with warrior patrols?" I asked the deptuy.
Shadepaw suddenly apeared beside her and the younge deupty looked down at her aprintance. "Just Shadepaw and I are pratrolling this morning. You might have to go with the evening protrol, the warriors may be out training their aprintances."
Suddenly a sharp paing radaited from the tip of my tail, I turned with a soft gaze and saw Batkit had woken. His blind gaze rested on my back. I didn't think the medican cat hade hope, but I thought that his sight had gotten better. He can reconize me, his siblings, and even Frostflower and her kits. "When will I be an aprrinatnce, mother?"
I sighed and looked over to Jaydream. She solomly looked at the blind kit and followed Shadepaw out the entrance tunnle. "Batkit...." I started slowly. "When you're ready."
I saw his grin, as he sat back and whispered, "so you think I am going to get better?"
"Yes. Autumnbreeze doesn't know you like I do. You will get better, and you will becom a warrior."
Another shadow emerged from the nersury and a gray tabby matirialized from the shadows next to Batkit, who was focused on trying to swatt my constantly moving tail tip. "Boo." The kit growled. Batkit jumped and whirrled around, his blind eyes locking with Thornkit's.
"Not funny!" He whinned as Thornkit waved his paw playfully infront of Batkit. "I know what you're doing Thornkit! It's not funny!" Thornkit snorted and walked away from Batkit.
Batkit's ear's flicked and he turned his head to look after Thornkit. "That's the first step, Batkit! It took you 5 moons to do what a 2 moon kit can do. You'll be an elder by the time your warrior ready." Batkit's sharp ears followed Thornkit as he slipped into the medicen cat's den.
"He's bluffing, right?" Batkit whispered. "Of course, dear. You know Thornkit to well to know that he lies about everything? He's just messing with you."
"But he was right about the dead mouse in the bedding." Batkit arguesd.
I sighed, getting up and sitting down next to the small kit, wrapping my dark tabby tail around him. "Thornkit put the mouse there, Batkit. He was just trying to mess with you."
Batkit flicked his ears. "oh."
"Now I know you were up all night, I could hear you shreading your beading. Go to sleep. I'll wake you when they bring back some fresh kill."
Batkit nodded as I unwrapped my tail and pushed him towards the nursery. He walked slowly through the entrance, knowing every turn and every rock to his sleeping spot.
I blinked after him for a second, before Mistkit and Sprucekit, side by side with Fawnkit, emerged from the nersury yawning and blinking sleep from their eyes. Something knocked into my side and Doekit rammed into me with Frostflower padding a little-ways behind. She batted at my whiskers as I turned my head and I caught one of her paws gentally with my teeth. She giggled and pawwed at my muzzle. I let go and she lept over to the other kits. "Hi Mistkit," She said sheeply. "Morning Sprucekit."
Fawnkit brushed Doekit with her white tail tip and mrowed in amusment, "I hid that dead sparrow you caught in Thornkit's beading. Wait untill he finds it!"
Frostflower settled down next to me, watching our kits with amusment. "They'll be fine warriors." She mrowed.
"Who do you think will becom leader first? Fawnkit or Thornkit?" Frostflower mrowed in laughter.
"I don't know. Maybe Doekit?" She responded, still purring with laughetr.
~Sprucekit
"Where even is Thornkit?" I ask, inturrupting the sister's laughter, and mine and Mistkit's for that matter.
"Oh, I think I saw him go into the medicen den earlyer." Doekit resonded light heartedly. "Wonder what he's doing over there?"
Mistkit scouled. I giggled and pawed at his drooping whiskers. "Stop that!" He growled, swatting my paws then leaping into me. We tussled on the ground, nearly the same size and skill we were evely matched. We finally sat up with dirt in our ears and stuck in our fur and concluded that it was a duel. Fawnkit strolled over to Mistkit and disslogged a peice of moss from his fur. I shook out my own fur and peices of dust and rocks casaded over the small pretty tabby. She hissed and glanced back at her own dusty silver pelt. Suddenly Mistkit bounded away from the group of kits and Fawnkit turned in time to see his tail tip vanish into the medicen cat's den. "Better luck next time, stary-eyed," I teased my close friend, who I knew had a sort of crush on my brother, her den mate.
She hissed playfully and meowed, "I just know we'll be together some day..."
"Ya sure, maybe when your in StarClan!" I mocked. She growled and knocked me over playfully, getting more dust and rocks all over her shinny silver pelt.
(Coconut is it okay that Fawnkit has a little crush on Mistkit? It could go away when they become apprintances but just for now....)
~Batkit
Running running running........
Blackness sourounding me. A glimps of light...
Replaced by ever darkness.
And then....blinding light....
And I was transported, blinking, into the clan. But it wasn't the camp I new. It was bright, and the mist I always see is gone. ANd ost off all, I could see the cats. They weren't blurry white blobs, but actual cats. With long tails and peircing eyes. Was this what the camp looks like every day?
And then suddenly mist started coming back into my vision. "NO!" I yelled as it covered the cats, making them blurry once again. And then, to my surprise they eyes cut through the mist, but turned a bright red. Was that the color of blood? And then more cats, dark stilhouts against the mist with darker red eyes came slinking into the clearing. Before I new it there were screams of tarror and angushed crys, red blood everywhere, and over the crys rang out echoing and faded words.
When mist and sole become one,
Screams will shreik, crys will soab,
But boren from the ear and nose comes sight,
The one who can truley see will foretell a sight to behold,
And an ancient rule will be broken.
I woke with an anguished cry. Immedatly my mother and Frostflower rush into the Nersury. My bedding was shreaded and tossed all over the cave and clumps of it was still loged in my claws. I blink blindly at their blurry shapes and ragged painting as my mother askes, "Batkit, are you alright?"
I look around and shake out my head. "Just a nightmare."
"Alright, go back to sleep." Ravencry meowed softly.
After that dream? Was she insain? "Mom, how do you know if StarClan tells you a phrophocy?"
Thistlewing
~~
"Featherpaw," I whisper, poking my head inside the apprentice's den. "Featherpaw, get up. Time for training." Featherpaw groans, her tail twitching, but she heaves herself up all the same, stretching until her whiskers quiver.
"Alright, but I was having the greatest dream ever," she complains, shaking her head.
"Were you, now," I smile, pushing her out of the den, and spot Falconheart and Honeylark on the other side of the clearing. Just as Featherpaw and I emerge, Skytracker emerges from the dirtplace, flicking his tail as he moves towards the two cats. Honeylark looks away from Falconheart as he approaches, bounding up to twine tails with his, and they walk off, purring to each other. I notice Falconheart's lip curl as they walk away, and I hurriedly pad over to Falconheart, Featherpaw close behind me.
"Hey, how's training going with you and Bumblepaw? Want to do battle training?" I ask, falling into step with Falconheart.
"Sure!" he responds, though Bumblepaw growls under his breath and rolls his eyes at Falconheart, who flicks his ear with his tail reproachfully. Together we set off for the training clearing, our apprentices following.
Falconheart says nothing while we walk along, so I decide to strike up a conversation. "So... the Gathering's tomorrow. I'm interested to see what Littlestar has to say on the border disputes." Falconheart nods in agreement, his claws momentarily sliding out.
"Belive me, I can't wait. MoonClan has got to stop strolling into our territory like it's nothing. In fact, I'd even bet that the rabbits we've been losing have come from those theiving rogues," he growls, fur bristling.
I hate to agree, but it is true that we've been losing prey to something across the border. And the clashing patrols haven't exactly helped the situation. "I suppose. Though I hope fur doesn't get ruffled if it only turns out to be a troubling fox or badger." Falconheart nods, his fur smoothing, but he stlll looks annoyed. Before I can say anything else, though, we arrive at the training clearing, and Bumblepaw and Featherpaw bound out into the clearing, clearly restless to start. Falconheart and I both settle down by a large boulder, and I call out, "Let's do a mock battle today. Remember, claws sheathed and stop when you've pinned the other cat, alright?" I looked to Falconheart for a second, and he nods. "Begin!"
They both crouched down, waiting, until Featherpaw flashed out at Bumblepaw, her paw as quick as a snake. Bumblepaw reacted just as fast, knocking it aside. Then he lunged at her, sliding underneath her underbelly. But as he did this, she dropped, flattening him beneath her. Then she jumped up, and gave him a blow. It caught him across the muzzle, and he reeled back, momentarily losing form. Featherpaw took this opportunity to pounce at the black and gray apprentice as he lay on his back. But Bumblepaw had been prepared for this. Just as Featherpaw was about to land on his stomach, he pushed out his hind paws at her, jabbing into her stomach and throwing her across the clearing. She landed hard on the far side of the dusty area, and Bumblepaw flipped up, shot across to her, and put his paw on her back, pressing her down until Falconheart nodded for him to stop.
"Nicely done, both of you," I say, weaving in between the two apprentices as Featherpaw got to her paws. "Featherpaw, good job on dropping on top of him. That's especially useful if you're fighting a cat who's smaller than you. And Bumbplepaw, your move at the end was great, immoblizing your opponent and giving you a chance to get back up. You're both coming along well." Falconheart padded up next to me, nudging Bumblepaw into position.
"Again!" he called, stepping back. "Make sure to focus on your offensive moves this time." Bumblepaw glared at his mentor, moving delibrately slow when going against Featherpaw. Falconheart shook his head, looking exhausted as we sat back down to watch the apprentices spar. "I swear, I've no clue why Cricketstar made me his mentor. We're as opposite as the sun and the moon." I don't reply, just swing my head back to watch Featherpaw fight with Bumblepaw, observing as she swerves around the mottled apprentice. Suddenly, a sound from the bracken behind us alerts us to a cat's presence, and Wrentail bursts from the foliage, sinking her claws into a squirrel. She sits up, purring, and just then seems to notice where she is.
"O-oh!" she says, surprised. "I'm sorry, I just interrupted your training!"
"No, really, it's okay," I say, stumbling a bit as I stand up to go to her. "They're still at it. Nice catch, by the way!" She purrs, dropping the squirrel to her paws.
"Thanks! I'll tell you though, I had to work for this one. I felt like a fox sneaking up on it!" I laugh, feeling warmth bubbling up in my chest. It's so easy to talk to Wrentail--she's so kind and funny. Dipping her head down to clasp the squirrel in her jaws, she waves her tail and me and says,  "Well, I'll see you later! Good luck with training!" Then she turns and plunges back from where she came, leaving only a few leaves fluttering in her wake. I stand there for a second until something shoves me from behind. Spinning around, I see that it's only Falconheart, his eyes gleaming.
"Quite a connection you've got with Wrentail, there," he says. My eartips grow hot, and I quickly say, "Oh, I mean I suppose so. She's--nice." The scene from eariler rises to my mind, along with curiousity about it. "Do you have your eyes on anyone?" Falconheart's face immediately drops, and he turns back to the apprentice's bout with a resolute "No." I stay there for a second, unsure, then turn my head to watch Featherpaw without another word.
Yay! We can start! Sorry if I was being pushy earlier about starting. XD
I was also curious about what the territories look like. I was thinking maybe Sunclan is more wooded, and maybe Moonclan is more like red stone, tall rocks, and streams. I don't know, just ideas. Maybe Sunclan is rather like Thunderclan, with nobel ideals and woods, and Moonclan lives like Windclan, and is regarded as less than trustworthy, like Shadowclan. (Even though that's not really true.) If not, then disregard the parts of this post that mention the territory/clans.
Moonbeam~
"We need a patrol of cats to scout the woods by the mesa. The wind is carrying fox scent, and it's coming from that direction. Owlwings, Moonbeam, Silvercloud, could you check it out please?" Jaydream flicks her tail, and I look up from where I am drinking. Sighing, I flick the droplets water off of my muzzle, and turn away from the stream that runs through camp. Above and around us looms red sandstone. Scraggly bushes and sticks have been bent into dens and built up with red clay. During the rainy seasons, the rain rolls off of the clay that is baked during the hot summers. The wind whistles over the flat grounds in such a way that we can scent things far away, and that's why we're going on this mission. As Owlwings, Silvercloud, and I pad off towards the mesa, I scent something else on the breeze. Sunclan! Probobly on patrol. I give a small snort. Why do they always act so....... noble? Like they're better than us?
We finally reach the mesa, a tall, red rock that sits just beside the Sunclan border. As we reach the border, so does a Sunclan patrol. I roll my eyes, and have decided to just ignore them, when a young black spotted apprentice says "Hey, look, it's Sunclan. What are you doing, rolling in dust?" I turn around, bristling. Owlwings gently puts his tail in front of me, and whispers "Don't encourage them." I sigh. He's right.
As we scout the area for foxes, I notice Skytracker, a cat I have seen often at gatherings. He is lecturing the young apprentice, who is sighing disdainfully. When he is done, the Sunclan deputy whispers something into his ear, and they both give amused mrrows. My heart twist painfully as I see them together, and I wonder why. Surely not...... he's from Sunclan! Yet still, jealousy of the pretty Sunclan she-cat swells inside me. I turn away, but not before I catch a glimpse of orange fur, and smell a whiff of something acrid.....
The fox jumps out of nowhere, leaping out at Skytracker. Another jumps at Honeylark, and they go down in a tangle of claws and fur. I leap towards Skytracker, who was caught unawares, and now has a fox biting at his throat. I leap onto it, yowling. Out of the corner of my eye I catch my clanmates fighting another fox. I slice at the fox's pelt with quick swipes, leaving scratches in the fur. It hisses in pain, and turns to face me, only to have Skytracker slice at its stomach. It howls and attacks with its razor sharp claws.
Skytracker and I fight as one, as if we had been training together since we were kits. Almost immediately, the fox runs off into the night. By this time, the other foxes are gone as well, and we all stand there for a minute, panting. As we do, I realize something that I've been avoiding for a long time. I'm in love with Skytracker. But we can never be together. We're in different clans, and besides, he loves Honeylark. I barely pay attention to the conversations going on around me. When we reach home, I curl up in my nest, and dream of tracking the sky.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry that was kind of choppy. Also, hope I didn't control anyone too much. I'll start interacting with other characters next time, but I've got to go to bed now. XD
