Percy Jackson RP!

Percy Jackson RP!

It has been SO LONG since we had one of these! If anyone was interested in Percy Jackson, I thought we could do a RP BEFORE Percy came to camp. Luke and Annabeth would be there, however! That means no children of the Big Three and all children of the minor gods live in Hermes' cabin. There are so many ways I can take this, and so many memorable characters I want to re-use!

So, the basic plot is: this is the famous "Centaur in the prom dress" summer that Annabeth mentioned. Basically, our characters go on a quest that should be easy. Get in, get out, get the job done. But everything goes terribly wrong and we have to call on some of Chiron's crazy centaur friends to help us! This could be really fun!

I'm having trouble deciding which of my much-loved PJO charries to use from past RPs. Should I use Finn (son of Demeter, head of cabin), Seth (not claimed, newbie at camp), Angila Annelle Garcia (*giggle* daughter of Aphrodite of course), Kyanite (son of Athena), or Jacinth (daughter of minor goddess)?

While I'm deciding on my charrie, y'all can start on yours :) please make them interesting!

Angila Annelle~

Home sweet home-away-from-home.

Aphrodite's cabin hasn't changed much over the year, except that we now have a new camper named Selina. I carefully organize my stuff into the chest at the bottom of my bed before going out to observe any new campers. As soon as I open the door, I spot one of my cabin mates, Cami, skipping towards the cabin. I can't help but smile when as I notice the way the forever-shining sun makes her long, loose hair glow and shimmer.

"Hi, Cami."

"Angel!" Cami exclaims, racing up and grabbing me by the shoulders.

"Oh my gosh, you've grown since last summer. I hardly recognize you! And your hair looks great. I'm glad you finally decided to grow it out a bit." I smile as my friend continues to chat, talking about everything from school to clothes to capture the flag alliances. Cami is pretty in a really free-spirited way. Her long hair is almost always down and she loves to experiment with the effects of different colored striped tank tops with her skin tone. Suddenly, she is interrupted shouts coming from the volleyball pit.

"I've got to unpack, why don't you check out the commotion? I'll be there in a sec," she suggests, dashing off.

Yes! I say we make her come this year! :):)

Kyanite~

I spend the ride planning out how to bypass whoever is supposed to pick me up from the airport as they probably wouldn't be compfortable dropping me off in the middle of "nowhere." I scan the crowded terminal as I walk, looking for the right moment. Suddenly, a woman by a window turns around and stares right at me...

No. No. She's dead. That's...impossible!

Blonde hair. Grey eyes. Calculating expression. This isn't a coincedence or lie, it's...

"Mom?" The moment I say the word I regret it. It sounds so weak and questioning and unsure.

"Lee," she answers, smiling.

"Don't call me that. That's Dad's name—not mine," I answer automatically.

"You've always been your own person," she replies; her eyes warm and her stance casual as if I was five again and we were a family. A sudden anger burns inside me.

"You let me believe you were dead." People are starting to look now, but I don't care.

"I had to. I have my reasons."

"No. If you didn't care to be there for me, I don't want to here you reasons."

"Lee—"

"KYANITE!" Although her eyes glow with anger, she is clearly sad as well.

"I'm sorry about your father. I'm sorry you had to go through this." I notice that she doesn't apologize for leaving me orphaned.

"Let's make this right," she continues. Before I have time to react, she snaps her fingers and the airport disappears, to be replaced by a grassy hill with a pine tree growing on it. Camp Halfblood. My mother is gone. Slowly, I trudge up the hill, not sure of what I'll find. As I get closer to the pine tree, I realize that someone is standing next to it. Unaware of me watching, she seems to be saying something to the tree. I sling my bow off my shoulder and grasp it tightly as I approach her just in case.

"So, this is Camp Halfblood," I say just loud enough to make the girl jump.

Sorry I haven't posted my charrie. Just forget about me, I'm regrettably too busy with a lot other stuff. Plus I would like to finish the books before joining an RP.

(Jun is a year-round camper)

Jun--

I crouch behind the Demeter cabin, tuning out the noise of arriving campers. In my palm I hold a seed. It's a seed I've never seen before, a little smaller than an almond, with the dark brown color of apple seeds. Thin grooves run vertically along its elliptical shape but it feels smooth to the touch. I let a bit of soil trickle through my fingers, and, deciding that it's good enough, place the mystery seed gently into the earth. I pat the soil over it until it's hidden, then sprinkle some fresh water over it. Marking it with a small red flag, I'm about to visit my strawberry plant, when I hear my name.

"Jun!"

It's my friend Rin. She looks a little harrowed, face slightly red.

I reluctantly stand up, heading over to her. "Hey, Rin. Whta's wrong?"

"Clarisse--challenge--Luke," she bursts out breathlessly.

"Er..." I mumble. "Okay." Changing the subject, I lead my friend around to the back of the cabin again. I point at the red flag. "I planted a seed."

"..Okay. And this is new how?" she answers skeptically.

"Well, it's a special seed that I've never seen before. I planted it right before you came." I crouch once more beside it. To my shock, a little green sprout has already appeared. Was I imagining it, or did it just grow bigger?

Whatever the seed contains, I can tell it's something big.

Something almost.. magical

(@Zen, sorry if I controlled Rin too much. I wanted to inch the story along)

Angila Annelle~

I walk over towards the volleyball pit, but before I can get there, I see a movement over in the strawberry fields. Probably just a satyr playing his pipe, I reason. But deep down, something tells me that this is no satyr. It's too big, for one thing. I get closer, taking my time. When I get there, nothing is out of the ordinary. All this way for nothing! I think. And then a big hairy beast jumps out of nowhere, leaping at me with its claws outstretched. I don't think I've ever screamed louder...

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. (If really sorry if I described this monster wrong, or wasn't supposed to kill it. I didn't know what it was supposed to be.) TOP!

Lucas~

"You're going down, Small Fry!" Lucas yelled as he spiked a ball at Lyssie. She bumped it to a Hephaestus girl, who spiked it back at his team. The ball went out of bounds. "WOO! NICE HIT, SOPHIA! TAKE THAT, GRUMPMUFFIN!"

Lucas scowled, then said, "Geez, calm down. I'll go get the ball." As he stalked over to the strawberry fields, where the ball had been hit (what could he say, some of those kids were insanely strong. This wasn't always a good thing), he heard a high-pitched scream. His instincts kicked in, and he ran to the sound. Something big and hairy was attacking a girl. "Hey!" He yelled, trying to get it off her.

Other campers had noticed the beast, and were rushing to help. Even though Lucas did not have his weapon and was no match for whatever it was, he jumped on its back, yelling out as he locked its head in a choke hold. The beast roared and tried to shake him off, letting the girl it had been attacking get free. The demigods were here now, fully armed. He jumped off. Then, a volley of arrows from the Apollo kids flew at the beast, piercing its skin and making the monster dissolve after few seconds.

Lucas bent over, trying to catch his breath. His burns hurt even more than usual, especially his leg, where the beast had clawed a long gash into the side. His vision began to blur. Lyssie caught him as he started to fall, saying, "Lucas, why would you do that?" He wasn't sure- maybe it was in his nature to act without thinking. He started to answer, but blacked out before he could finish.
