I need CB. I need the hastily scribbled stories, the late-night writing, the forcing of one's self to keep writing.

I need to keep writing.

I will think of a plot at some point. Please fill out the character sheet:

Name

Appearance

Personaity

Quirk

submitted by Gared
(February 25, 2017 - 10:09 pm)

Name: Liza 'Jay' Creeks

Appearance: She has long, beautful red hair and dark eyes. Splash of freckles across nose. Fair skin. Wears patched pants and an old shirt, both splashed in mud, some dry and cracking with age and other mud splashes fresh. Wears a necklace with a bluejay feather on it.

Personality: Distrustful, sweet.

Quirk: Pronounces her 'K's oddly, making them sound like 'T's. Tends to fiddle with her necklace when she's nervous.

Name: Eva Slovakavich

Appearance: Straight blonde hair that is a few inches past her shoulders. She has very pale skin, big blue eyes, and a limber and lean figure. At school, she wears a bundle of scarves, as it tends to be cold, a floppy hat that seems to be a mix of beret and a beanie, and grey boots. Then she'll wear a shirt, whatever for that day, a cardigan, and skinny jeans that are crimson or sometimes tattered blue jeans.

Personality: She seems sweet and tries to interact with other people, but a lot of the girls at her school hate her. But she hides everything that happens outside of school, so she seems to wear a mask, and she's smart and tries to focus in school as much as she can.

Quirk: She's a hard-core ballerina, and her entire family comes from Russia. She grew up there until she was seven, where she came to the U.S. (is that where we are?) and picked up English pretty quickly. She still can speak fluent Russian, however.

Eva walked down the stairs of her house. It was the first day of school at this school, for her. She had just moved, and the whole experience had been easier than she had thought it would be. Except the part about making new friends.

~~~~
Catrina walked out of the bus near the side entrance to the school. She waved to one of her friends, glared at one of her enemies, and generally just tried to talk with some of her closest friends as they walked down the hallway.
She didn’t really find anything wrong with it. Correction: she didn’t show that their was anything wrong with this. Deep inside her, she just wanted to be alone. She didn’t want people around her, she didn’t want noise, and she wanted this stupid hierarchy to go away.
~~~~

Liza walked down the hallways, crying slightly. She had just heard that her brother was getting worse.

“Hey, finished rolling in the mud?” Someone yelled.

She walked forward, then turned and pushed him down. She jogged off, crying even more.

~~~~
“Hey, Sam.” Catrina said as she passed the “most popular kid in school,” Sam. He was wearing a pair of jeans, and a tee-shirt from a long-gone and once-popular band.
“Please leave me alone.” He said.
The bell rung, and Cat ran to get to 1st period Math.
~~~~

Emily strolled into class. She clutched a plastic film covered pencil bag, and a binder decorated with odd patterns.

She opened her binder, and saw a page of lists of the organs of the body.

She also saw something else.

She crumpled a piece of paper, and shoved it into her pocket.

“Dude, what’s your deal?” A boy to her right said.

“What? Nothing. Fix your own problems before you ask about mine?” She said, sharpening a pencil with terrible ferocity.

~~~~
Liza was crying into her hands. A small trickle of tears oozed onto a sheet of books she needed to read for class.
“Her, Liza, want to copy my notes?” Her desk partner said.
“That would be awesome.” She said.
~~~~

Eva had managed to stumble to her first class, math, and had taken notes. And a small voice in the back of her mind told her that she should be making more friends. But she told herself that she would say hello to more people during lunch and in the hallways.

She saw a person in the back of the class, a definite warning sign, talking to sever other girls. Maybe she could make friends… probably not.

~~~~
Catrina sat in the back of the math class. The new student looked happily around her, clearly enchanted with… this. That would soon pass. NOBODY liked first period mathematics, as the teacher would say, with Mr. Harriot. That was a rule as definitive a rule as the formula for volume of irregular pyramids.
“Would certain people please pay more attention?” The before-mentioned teacher said.
~~~~

Emily had a normal day, until lunch. She bumped into someone who she had never seen before, a new kid probably, and her lunchbox had fallen. And as she looked up, she saw the most popular kid in the school talking with one of the… nerds who sat in the front, and always knew the answer to literally everything. How weird. Why...

~~~~
Liza sat at a table with her five or so friends. She had no appetite.
“So they said he was getting worse. He should be better by now.” She said between sobs.
“Its ok. You are not bad for feeling sad.” One of her friends said.
“I know. I am trying to get back on a normal schedule. I am making progress, at least.” Liza replied, clearing her mind and stopping crying.
~~~~

Eva walked up to Catrina. She was sitting in a large table, and it was crammed with people.

“Ya know, I just heard a friend tell me that Emily had seen Sam and this nerd talking.” Cat said.

Gasps followed.

“Um, excuse me?” Eva said.

“Yea?” Somebody said.

“Nevermind.” Eva said, and ran off.

Then, she heard a sob. She turned. She ran forward, trying to find the person.

~~~~
Liza turned, and saw a person walk up. She shared a class with her. She was new. At least other people had problems. Joining this wreck of a school? Guts were entailed in that scenario.
“Um, hi? I heard you were new to the school? Here, sit there.” Liza pointed to an empty chair.
“Wow, thanks!” Eva said.
I am sorry about how depressing this is. I also am sorry to Ember in the Ashes, I will make your character return to normal soon. And to ~Mystery~, for making her charrie new to the school.  I am also sorry to everyone else for manipulating your characters in ways not encouraged by you.
Part Two
“Hello Sam.” Cat said.
“Hi…” He said, uncertainly.
“I have something to say.” She said.
“What?” He replied.
“I… I have  crush on you.” She said.
“Alright. I should then tell you…” He began to say, but someone came up, and they both walked off.
~~~~

Eva and a Liza saw each other as they walked into school. Liza had given some background for the school, and who the various people were. And then they saw Catrina running to her locker, crying.

“Yes, why don’t we hear all about your problems? They are so urgent, clearly.” Liza yelled at her.

She had a glare return her shout.

~~~~
Emily sat down in the back of the class, and started talking to her friend.
“Ok, so the strangest thing happened yesterday: right, so ya know that weird person in the front of the class, right? So, someone had slipped a note for him to me. And I, like, felt like this was a joke. So I put it away, and got to work. I read it later. It was telling him to stop talking to Sam.”
“Like, no way! That is so weird!” The friend said.
~~~~

Cat sat, stewing in her own thoughts. That had been a mistake. But what had he wanted to say? Maybe she should make some better friends? Ones who cared.

~~~~
“Excuse me, Liza?’ Catrine said. She walked up to her lunch table.
“Ya?” She said.
“I am sorry about your brother…” Cat replied.
“Eh, there is not much you can do. Now, why don’t you go back to your little island.” Liza said, a cold steel edging her words.
“That's why I am here. I want to be your friends.” Cat replied, and to prove her point, she took off three necklaces: half a heart, a locket with her ex-best friends picture, and a peice of string with three beads on them, threw them to the ground, and smashed them with her foot.
“It's fine with me.” Eva said.
“Alright.” Liza said.
~~~~

“Ok, so did you hear? Cat said she never wanted to see my stupid, air-brained face ever again, and then threw my lunch on the ground?” Emily said at her crowded lunch table.

“WHat?” Someone said.

“I know, strange but true.” Someone else said. It was Sam. But he also ran to another table, and he seemed to be smiling.

~~~~
“Ok, so, listen, alright. I was really angry at Sam for a while, and then I realized I had a crush on him. And yesterday, I told him, but he said that he wanted to tell me something, and then someone interrupted him. And I am curious, but I don’t know how I should…” Cat began to say, but then Sam walked up.
“Hi. I am sorry to interrupt, and I apologize for eavesdropping. I just wanted to say that I already have a crush, and I just want you to know. Sorry. Bye.” Sam said, and then ran off.
“Well, there you have it.” Liza said, and Eva shrugged.
~~~~

Sam sat at a table with a group of people which could be broadly described as unpopular.

“I told her, and she was mad at me, but I knew that was the only way. Did I do something wrong?” He said to someone, though it could not be determined who.

Then, he sat up, and ran to meet Catrina just as she was leaving the room.

“Excuse me. Could I talk to you for a minute?” He said.

“Ok, sure.” Cat replied, confused, and hurt.

~~~~
“So, what did he have to say?” Liza asked after school.
“He asked that I not tell anyone, but can I just say that I understand why he is trying to not be popular, and hanging out with the nerds, and why he doesn’t want me to have a crush on him.” Catrina replied.
“Ok, whatever works for you.” Eva said, messing with her hat.
~~~~

Sam sat alone on the bas, staring out the window. It was raining. He felt bad, but at least he had gotten his bottled-up feelings out.
