So basically, the international school takes place in the mere future, but not so far away like 3018. The school is a high school, and it teaches grades 10-12 in England. So here's the plot:

You are children of wealthy World Ambassadors, and they have a long meeting considering this war that might go on. The meeting will last for 10 years, for some odd reason. Meanwhile, you've been sent to the Paddington Academy, which is a high school only for the children of the Ambassadors.

You meet people there from other countries, and you happen to speak fluent English and the language of your nationality. You go to different classes that teach you different things from other schools, such as dead language classes, logic and reasoning classes, etc. Romance, drama, shipping, all that stuff is going to happen. Hey, it's high school.

It takes place in future England, where it's always cold for some reason (highest temperatures get to 68), and always cloudy. But some people like it, and that's where you'll live until your adult years. You take a train to your school, walk over a small bridge with other civilians, pass a park, and go through a city where your school is.
