THE STORY OF

THE STORY OF FIGHTER

Greetings. I am writing this as anoymous because I'm not sure about the reactions I may get. This is a Gameknight999 fandom so it may be a bit confusing if you haven't read the series. If you've been to Lilypad's character interviews thread, you may find me answering for Monet113. But anyways, here is the story.

Prologue: “She is Fighter”
They didn’t know who she was. They didn’t know where she came from. She just was there now. They accepted that. But did they like it? Good question. Though she was kind and respectful, there were mixed feelings about this stranger. The village leader would find himself blushing when she asked him a question and was at a loss for words when he tried to speak to her. The blacksmith didn’t trust her, though he was usually a kind man. The villagers would grumble around the table with their family. She didn’t do any work, but they labored all day in the fields, shops, at the lake, or in the forest. As this continued, more resentment grew toward the kind stranger, as peaceful as she seemed. The village leader grew anxious. They were a balanced village, but she had set them off center. Many said she must work for food. The village leader hated to demand the stranger to work, but he had to. If she would work, the village would be balanced again. So, he politely explained. She smiled and laughed and assured him that things would turn out fine, that she would work and the village could be at peace. He flushed a bit as she said this and couldn’t help but think of how nice she looked. But as a couple of days passed, he wasn’t sure she would keep that promise. She spent her hours roaming around the village edge, eyes always on the horizon. She always held two sticks, one in each hand. Any small movement would draw her attention, and any noise would cause her to suddenly stand erect, as if she had been electrocuted. It was like she was waiting for something.  Then they came. The village cried out in fear as they raced into their homes, running from the stinking flesh and incoherent moans. There was little light that rainy day, except for a few streetlamps. And even they seemed gloomy and strange. As they gathered safely together they remembered that she was still outside. The town leader rushed to the door to pull the her inside. But there, at the door, he beheld an amazing sight. She was outside, drenched with a mix of sweat and rain. She held two sticks, one in each hand. She punched and kicked and swung at the molten green creatures. And by the time the rain was stopping, she had defeated all but one. But the fatigue was too much. Every little scrape worked against her as she struggled to stay alive. She was losing health quickly, and with one unexpected blow from the creature, she was gone. Two sticks on the ground were the only remnants of her heroism. Two sticks and many glowing orbs. The village leader cried out in fury and pain, prepared to pummel the last strange creature for what it had done. It only took one hit to destroy it. And then the rain stopped, the sun shone, the village emerged from hiding. “Fighter,” they said after hearing the story. They savored the word, which meant so many things. “She is Fighter”

Next part comin out soon.

@Admins? Hi, did I do the shoutout wrong? Well, if you see this, can you add a note at the end of the post that says:

Did I get it right this time? When you say "at the end of the post," I have to guess which post you mean. To be specific, you should say the post from ____ that begins with "______" And I would only allow you to add to a comment that you yourself created.

They went through corridor after corridor, new treasures in every corner. Sometimes WestNinja853 would find something he didn't need, and passed it on to her. After one turn, the chest they found was empty, and it continued that way for about three more. "Come on!" WestNinja exclaimed in frustration, slamming down the lid of the third empty chest. "What's wrong with this-"

"Shhh!" Explorer interrupted, her eyes wide. She was sure she had heard something, and she was right. Voices.

"Aww come on Sal," said a male who was probably just around the corner. "How come you guys got all the loot? I only got some flint and steel and butter swords."

"Would you rather me take those too?" A female voice asked, sounding amused. "I wouldn't a mind an extra bit of treasure in my pocket."

"Quiet down, you two," said a different low male voice. "I think there's someone in this fortress with us. I keep hearing footsteps when we open those chests." At that Explorer looked at WestNinja with wide eyes.

WestNinja sprinted over to her and whispered in her ear. “I bet we can get even more loot by taking down those people!”

She jerked back. “Are you crazy?! We can't just kill them and walk away with their stuff! Plus, it's three on two, and they sound experienced.” But as she looked into WestNinja’s serious eyes, she saw a desperate gleam and she knew that he would carry out with his plan without her consent or without. Not knowing what to do, she pushed the treasure hunter in front of her away and ran out of the corridor and into the next, startling the three other people who had been talking. "Hey," one of them exclaimed. "What's an NPC doing here?"

"Explorer! Wait!" WestNinja called out, sprinting after her and then stopping in the room with the other users, seeing no NPC in sight anymore. She probably didn't even hear him.

-

Glistening Melons! Thought WestNinja853, staring at the other users around him. Explorer had run off because he wanted to grief someone, but now that the obnoxious NPC was gone, he could do it right? No interference right? Right? He asked himself. But his lungs constricted, and he felt as though there was a heavy burden on his shoulders. He didn't have to go get her. He wasn't some babysitter. She could handle herself. Right? Then one of the other users spoke. "Whoa man, what did you do?"

"Yeah. Why was she so mad?"

"It's nothing." He answered, feeling strangely ashamed. He shook off the feeling by jutting out his chin and scowling at them.

"Was that NPC your girlfriend?" The leader(a male with scruffy brown hair and the hint of a beard) asked while raising his eyebrows.

"No" He said scornfully.

"You know, people don't just run off for no reason." The girl said in a reasonable tone. WestNinja scowled at her.

"I love this conversation and all, with you guys trying to find out my love life, but 1, she's not my girlfriend 2, she can easily fend for herself, and 3, it's not your business."

"Feisty one this guy." The other male noted, laughing. "Well anyway, you're right about it not being our business, but allow us to introduce ourselves. I'm JWarrior_The_Third, that's SalvationStriker," pointing to the girl. "and over there's SwordEdge59." The leader nodded.

"Apparently by introducing ourselves you mean you introducing everyone." SalvationStriker said, curling a lock of her blonde hair around her finger.

They all waited in silence until WestNinja sighed and said, "WestNinja853. Not extremely pleased to make your acquaintance."

"Excellent." Said SwordEdge59. "Which way are we heading?" WestNinja853 blinked.

"Excuse me?" He asked, bristling instantly.

"We're coming with you aren't we?" explained JWarrior_The_Third. "We can help you look for your damsel in distress!" He smiled at this and gave a cocky grin. WestNinja sighed again and started trudging in Explorer's direction. He wondered how he have gone from working with only one person, to traveling with this bunch in less than 24 hours. Now, how to lose them...

Hope you enjoyed!

Chapter Four-

Ok, Explorer reflected, hands on her knees, panting after running so hard. It was possibly not the best idea to run out here by myself. She looked around nervously, not sure of where she was or how to go back. She had made many random turns in the long twisting hallways of the fortress. But it wasn’t like she would have just gone along and attacked those people. A clunking sound echoed off of the walls. Her throat dried up in dread. An imposing undead skeleton rounded the corner. The dark skull was staring at her with miserable resolve and it's sword was pointed at her with clear intent. Explorer pulled out her golden sword to defend herself and the two began to face off. The dull thud of metal against stone resonated through the passages, but not for long because soon, her unreliable sword gave out and shattered. There was a certain eagerness in the monster's expression now, for to say that the eagerness was in it's eyes would be highly incorrect, as it had none. Quickly, she pulled out her two sticks. There was a calm burning fierceness in the way she pulled them out, but the charred black enemy clearly saw no threat. It lunged forward, nearly impaling her, but Explorer quickly danced out of the way. It all came to her now, and she felt a rush of adrenaline as she jabbed and countered and even did some damage all according to pure instinct. But, the bony creature did have some advantage with it's more durable weapon. This is not how I'm going to die, She told herself. With grim determination, she kicked the monster on it's shin with her left foot, and twirled away on her right. The skeleton had nearly doubled over from the impact, but quickly recovered, and charged at her again. It's strides were full of rage, and now it had that same determination, that determination that it would not let this NPC take its life. Almost instantly she was cornered, sticks held in front of her in the shape of an X, perspiration pouring from her face, and straining to keep the blade from making contact. Whizz! The bony monster jumped and flashed red. Then it knelt over, and promptly died with a light Pop! an arrow was in its place. An arrow, a stone sword, and many glowing orbs. She looked up in astonishment to see, not one, but four people. One of them being WestNinja853. The other three grinned at her expression, and she realized that they were the three she had heard talking before. A man with scruffy brown hair and the hint of a beard slapped WestNinja on the back, and none too gently.

"You could have died," said WestNinja, frowning irritably and putting away his bow, which had made the vital shot. She was too relieved to answer.

"But you must be a pretty good fighter. Otherwise your pal here wouldn't have been able to kill that skellie in that one shot." remarked the girl, her wavy blonde hair in a ponytail. "SalvationStriker by the way. And this here's JWarrior_The_Third and SwordEdge59."

While the girl has been talking, some thing twitched in Explorer’s mind. It was a sense that had been asleep, but she didn't recognize it and went on. She asked, bewildered, "How did you find me?"

"Well, we just followed the sounds of your little battle." said SwordEdge59. "Pretty easy to do since you were making a great deal of noise."

"Actually watched a bit," admitted JWarrior_The_Third. "but WestNinja stepped in when it got serious. You got some good moves." She smiled slightly and didn't notice it when WestNinja scowled.

"So why are you guys with him?" she asked nodding at WestNinja. She decided not to comment on her partner's ulterior motives when he gave her a sharp warning look.

"Oh, you know. We wanted to help him look for his NPC friend who supposedly ran off because she was offended by something he said." SalvationStriker drawled. "Have you seen her around these parts?" She winked at Explorer who blankly stared back.

"No. You never told me you were looking for your friend WestNinja853!"

The threesome chuckled. WestNinja shifted uncomfortably and glared at them until the laughter faded. "You're the friend Explorer."

"What's an NPC?" she asked.

JWarrior cleared his throat and began to explain. "An NPC is a Non-Player-Character, like you are. A villager in Minecraft's case."

"A villager?" The word rolled around in her mouth, sounding familiar. Unbidden, a picture of a bald man with a unibrow looking up at her with worried eyes appeared in her mind. Leader. She brushed the strange thought away, confused. JWarrior opened his mouth to speak again but WestNinja silenced him with a look. "What is it? Why don't you want to tell me?"

"Later," WestNinja sighed, turning away. Explorer wasn't completely sure, but she didn't think "later" would ever come soon enough. And by the looks on the other's faces, they weren't that sure either.

Okaaaay. So, if you notice any instances where it says Fire instead of Explorer, please let me know. The name change was fairly recent and I havn't found all of the little mistakes quite yet. Again, looking for a Beta reader, if anyone's interested. Sorry about being late for this one.

Hey all of you beautiful non-existent readers! How are you? Good? Well, I'm busy, and that's why this installment is a little bit late. Enjoy!

PS, I'm still looking for a Beta reader if anyone bothers to read this.

Chapter Five-

Explorer was extremely glad to be reunited with her companion. WestNinja853 had been right, the Fortress(not to mention the Nether itself)was dangerous. If he hadn't come, she would have surely died. She was also happy about the three others. They seemed pretty friendly. JWarrior_The_Third was constantly joking around, SwordEdge59 kept order, and SalvationStriker smoothed out the rough ends. It seemed like there wasn't a puzzle piece missing.

On the other hand, WestNinja didn't appreciate the three's company at all. He grumbled under his breath when SwordEdge divided up the Fortress's treasure, so that even Explorer had some handy stuff. He kept his hand on his weapon when JWarrior was talking. He scowled all the while as Salvation gave Explorer some tips on combat and PVP(Player-Versus-Player). But the most infuriating thing that the threesome did was ask him questions. "How'd you end up with Explorer?" They would ask. Or it would be, "Where'd you learn combat?" Another one was, "Why're you in the Nether?" So many questions! He couldn't stand it. And the way SwordEdge took charge! Argh! He seemed so sure that everyone looked up to him and would treat him with respect. It made WestNinja want to punch the totally unaware dude in the face. JWarrior would probably end up with an arrow to the side one day, his wisecracks were unnerving! As for SalvationStriker? He didn't care if she and her reasons fell in the lava! After many more hours of searching the fortress(something WestNinja would have thoroughly enjoyed on his own), they came to a stairway that served as an exit for the building. He pushed past the others to get there first. As he came out into the rocky red terrain, a fireball blasted him in the chest and knocked the breath out of him. A blur of motion suddenly stood before him and he watched(a bit subconsciously I might add)as Explorer punched a flaming projectile back at the ghast. "Stupid ghasts," he muttered under his breath as he stood up. When he looked back, JWarrior was trying to hold back a laugh, Salvation was nodding at Fire's technique, and SwordEdge59... Well, he wasn't bothering to disguise his smirk as he handed WestNinja an apple to replenish his energy. It probably wasn't long before he was fed up and done with them, he reflected with a scowl. Not too long at all.

As the group walked through the boiling Nether, they came by a lava river. "Hey, SE!" called SalvationStriker. "There's some lava we can get without burning to death! Let's stop for a moment." Explorer looked at WestNinga853 questioningly. He shrugged, not seeming to care.

"We don't know what you came for," said JWarrior, as he pulled out a metal bucket. "but we came for some obsidian. We're looking to enchant some of our stuff."

Explorer looked at WestNinja again. "Enchant?"

"You know," explained Salvation. "Make them more durable. Like adding infinity to your bow or feather falling to your boots." She pulled out a bucket of her own and carefully scooped up some lava.

SwordEdge59 filled three buckets before pointing out that a few monsters were making their way toward the group. "We'd better keep moving," said SwordEdge as he straightened after stuffing the lava into his inventory. "Does anyone know where a portal is?"

No one heard WestNinja mutter something under his breath.

"I think ours is thattaway," said Salvation, pointing off into the distance. "C'mon." Explorer went to join the threesome and WestNinja reluctantly followed.
