She swallowed and closed her eyes, her heart pounding in her ears. It was as if the world was whistleing around her, spinning like a whirlwind. Her father's words echoed in her head. You have been chosen, Merideth. You are the one.

The world is in darkness and you have been chosen to bring it back to the light. You and seven others were born with a speciel power. When you were born, the certain circumstances you were in created a powerful force in your soul, your element. For example, if you were born in a cottage unprotected from a howling storm, your parents not having the money to send you to hospital, your element would be air. Anyway, you are forced away from your family to a boarding school for the gifted. There are evil forces trying to take over your powers, turning you into ond of them. That is why you must go. They will protect you...

Name: Merideth Hartwood
Gender: Female
Age: 16 Please none under 13
Appearance: long, straight brown hair down to her waist that she wears braded into pig-tails. She wears brown leather tunics and grey leggings with lace up brown boots and aa black leather belt. She is usually seen with a large cross bow. She has pale skin with a light sprinkling of freckles.
Personality: clever, wise and ruthless, Merideth has a stubborn personality. She is selfless and kind, often away in the clouds.
Power: air
Born in: a blizzard whirlwind unexpectedly, two weeks before due. She was born in her parents cottage after the howling wind swept away the only source of light and warmth, the fireplace.
Secrets: As her family is extremely poor, she breaks the law to survive by hunting in a forest next to her house. She doesnt want to, but with out the food, her family would starve.
Other: She has a little sister called Rose. She is looking for a friend...
If more than seven people are interested, they can become the back ground charries, such as parents. By the way, we need a mix of nice people and not so nice people. And a mix of guys and girls. Thanks!

I sprint to the house, slamming the door open. Mother jumps, then looks at me. "Someone -- someTHING just attacked me when I was getting blasckberries. I'm going to go out and kill it."
"Jori, why would you kill it?" Mother questions.
"Because I heard another person near the bush. I think it's going to attack him next." I gasp as I stuff a candle into a knapsack. I cram some firewood into it as well, and open the door. "If I'm not back by nightfall, assume I've killed it and I'm going to the boarding school."
"Alright," she replies sceptically.
I trudge into the forest, lit candle in hand, looking for any trace of a person. Suddenly I see one.
"Hey! There's a thing in this forest. It's invisible, if it grabs you, fight it."
He turns.

I turn, curious about the unfamiliar voice rom behind me. It's a girl with long red hair.
"What did you say?" I ask.
She sighs, and repeats herself.
"There's a thing in this forest. It's invisible, if it grabs you, fight it."
"A... thing? What kind of a thing?"
"I just told you," she snaps.
"So, an invisible thing that grabs you?"
"YES!!!"
"Er... all right...?"
She groans. "I'm serious!"
I look at the lit candle she is holding, that isn't even wavering even though it's pouring rain.
"Why isn't your candle, um...-"
She knows what I mean. "None of your business. Now, I have to go find and kill this monster."
The girl disappears into the night.
"Wait, I should help! It's in my forest, after all!"
But she is gone.
I sigh. I see no other choice. So I do the inevitable- start running after the strange girl.

Morrigan~
Merideth and I make plans to meet up at the fountain in the nearest town at noon. Until then, I decide to take a walk. As I'm strolling through the back streets of the small town, I hear a shout. Confused, I run towards it.
"Idiot! Do something!a girl's voice shrieks.
"Like what?" a boy responds, panicked.
At this point, I'm halfway up to the open window.
"Like this!" she yells and I feel a wave of something crackling and hot, so similar to a fire yet so different.
With a grunt, I drag myself over the window and into the room, landing painfully on my shoulder. Shaking it off, I get up and see a girl with pearlescent, pale skin and raven black hair struggling with what seems to be an invisible human. A boy, whom I assume is her brother, stands with his back pressed against the door.
With barely a thought, I summon my fire, mentally asking it not to hurt the girl. I wince as it singes her jack sleeves a bit. Thank the gods the fire decided not to completely incinerate her. At least now she seems to have control of the situation... Somewhat. Electricity is crackling off of her in waves as she fights her attacker. I send a small burst of flame towards her, this time it doesn't seem to touch her at all.
Finally, whatever she was fighting seems to give up. The girl slumps to the ground.
"Are... You okay?" I ask cautiously.
"Yeah. Fine. Just a little shaken up," she responds, "I'm Ellie, by the way."
"Mor," I tell her. Then I notice the letter on her bed. "You got into the school, too?"
"Yes," she says slowly.
"Well, then I'll see you there," I say, and slip out the window.

"Okay, WHAT WAS THAT?!?!" Dan asks, in an I'm-close-to-hysteria-and-hoping-I-imagined-that-invisible-thingy-and-my-sister-shooting-electricity-and-the-other-girl-shooting-fireballs-voice(note from unsuspecting: XD that took me so long to write but totally worth it). I sigh.
"Nothing you'd know about dreamboat. And thank you for helping out so wonderfully!" He scowls.
"Alien, I'm not joking this time. What was that and why did you turn into a FREAKING LIGHTNING BOLT?!?!?!"
I narrow my eyes at him. "I got a letter from this school." I say, picking up the letter and handing it to him warily.
"I'M NOT ASKING ABOUT SOME DUMB ACCEPTANCE LETTER!! I-"
"Read it Mr. Ex. And then leave me alone so you can get back to your girlfriend." Surprisingly he takes it. His eyes dart across the page. He opens his mouth to say something, closes it, and goes back to reading. Finally, he looks up.
"Ellie, you're going to a school for magic people?"

I stomp through the forest, looking for any sign that an invisible-monster-that-attacks-fourteen-year-olds-thing may have been. I lost track of it (no duh, it's invisible) when I ran inside. I saw some footprints by the blackbetty bush, but I think that they belonged to that other guy.
My concentration is broken when a twig snaps. I whirl around, looking for movement, which is pretty unproductive, since the thing is invisible. I hear a bush move with the wind. It's not windy, even thought it's FRIGGIN POURING RAIN!! I jump at the bush with my candle, and an inhuman scream eminates as the flame hits it.
"What the -- so you WERE telling the truth!" I whirl around again, distracted from the monster. "And that thing IS invisible!" It's the boy from earlier that I told.
"Yes, it IS invisible! How did you not notice?" I snarl sarcastically, turning back to the invisible-monster-thing-that's-invisible-and-trash and shove the candle in it's face. Or what I thought was it's face. "AND NOW LOOK!! IT'S GONE!!" Then I quiet down my anger and ask in a more -- ehm --civilized voice, "Do you hear anything?"

I step from behind the bushes and guiltily look at the girl.
"Hi," I say. "You want me to turn the rain off?"
"What?" she asks.
"The rain," I say, pointing above her head. "I thought you were one of those Shadow Monsters or whatever, so I thought pouring rain on you, the water would drip down, and I would be able to see your figure."
"Cool, but yeah, if you wouldn't mind..."
I snap my fingers and offer a smile.
"So water, eh?" she asks.
"Yep. The name's Lia."
"Jorleia," she responds. "And I'm fire."
Oh we should get along GREAT.
"Um, sorry, I-"
"Just don't do it again," she mutters.
I nod, and we walk back towards the clearing where other people with elements are assembled.

Hi guys, I'm really sorry, but I'm dropping out of this RP. I just feel like Tor isn't really relevant to the story in any way. I really look forward to reading what happens next and if anyone wants to find my mysterious egg feel free. But seriously, its been a lot of fun writing this, but I feel like I kinda misplaced Tor at the beggining and kicked him out of the story,
I'm really excited to see what you guys come up with!
