Fantastical CB Story

I will be writing a story using CBers as characters! Those who remember my True Names CB story will remember this. Write a brief description of yourself (appearance and personality) and I will choose people to put into it as Primary (main) Characters, Secondary (more minor) Characters, and NPC (very minor) Characters.

Fill out this:

CB Name:

CB Appearance (make it fantasy-based):

CB Personality:

The plot: An adventuring party sets out to destroy a Vakashard, a gem of pure corruption, growing in the heart of an ancient mountain. Your characters may be part of the adventuring party, some of the monsters they fight, or even major villains they face. I have made three charries so far.

The Wizard:

Name: Illaeara

Gender: Female

Personality: Reserved. Very secretive. Intelligent, and loves her friends, despite not showing it. Seems unemotional and competitive to any outsider's point of view. Is desensitized to all violence. Very self-deprecating and insecure, despite being the most powerful member of the party besides maybe Westward (see Westward's bio). Has a highly androgynous voice, but appears somewhat more female than male due to the almost dress-like robes.

Appearance: Wears a white dress/robe with a jagged hem and a hood. Wears white gloves and grey boots. No one can see beyond her hood. She has a collar that casts an impenetrable darkness inside of her cloak, preventing people from seeing within. She casts Dancing Lights to make two spheres of light inside her cloak that look like eyes. In reality, she is a reformed Dark Elf (aka Drow) with dark grey skin, white hair and silver eyes. 5' tall. Thin.

Species: Elf, drow/dark elf

Alignment: Neutral Good

Stats: INT=18, WIS=16, STR=9, CHA=10, DEX=14, CON=10

The Bard:

Name: Eris Summerland

Gender: Female

Personality: Very aggressive. Overcompensates for being very short. (3' 10") Very hostile to the spellcasters of the party (Illaeara and Westward). Very hotheaded, yells a lot. Is simulatenously secretly very sensitive. Not your typical "cute" bard. Often crying and shouting at the same time. Wants to be a Barbarian but is physically weak. Frustrated with herself. Can be surprisingly charming if she tries.

Appearance: Wears a midriff top and capri pants in bright red. Carries a lute around over her shoulders. Has spiky, messy black hair and bright blue eyes. Very pale. Has a small dagger and is saving up to buy a battle-axe. VERY short due to her species, frustrated. Looks constantly irked.

Species: Half human, half halfling

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Stats: INT=15, WIS=11, STR=5, CHA=18, DEX=16, CON=10

The Cleric:

Name: West Warding (goes by Westward)

Gender: Male

Personality: Very strict and detached, lawful good to the max. Takes his job very seriously as a Cleric of Tyr. Dislikes Eris strongly, keeps her around because of her bardic skills. Very strict about never stealing or cheating (blah, blah, blah) and such, to the annoyance of his fellow party members. Worried about breaking any laws, even keeping off the grass. A stick in the mud. Secretly loves his fellow party members. Is fascinated by Illaeara, wonders what she is. VERY blunt.

Appearance: Heavy armor with Tyr's emblem on it. Missing a hand. Has blonde hair and dark blue eyes. Scowls almost constantly. Has very pink pale skin. Dark circles under his eyes. Wears an amulet shaped like a sword. Uses a long sword with a leather-wrapped hilt. Has a red shirt on under his armor, plus leather slacks. Has a fur neckline.

Species: human

Alignment: Lawful Good

Stats: Int=15, WIS=18, STR=15, CHA=8, DEX=10, CON=15

So fill out the form!

THIS IS NOT A RP. I AM WRITING THIS AS A STORY.

Aelin, if you want to be in this, make an ORIGINAL CHARACTER. YOU CAN'T BE AELIN GALATHYNIUS.

Thanks.

I didn't think that it would be a problem if I made the appearance similarly to that of Celaena. The personality came from a mixture of personality tests online, my friends' opinions of me, and my teachers' opinions of me (yes, I do ask my teachers for help creating personality sheets sometimes. Don't judge.), so that IS original.

The character Aelin didn't have iron nails. And I made her hair much paler that the way it is described in the story. Also, I didn't make her have scars, pointed ears, or pale skin. The skin tone I was imagining for the character was more of an "Italian" kind of skin colour. A golden, tanned kind of shade. The shade of gold I chose to use for the eyes is the shade of, like, ancient coins that have been dulled over time, rather than the bright, shining gold described within the book. I used turquoise for the base colour because I happen to have dull turquoise eyes in real life, and it has also been my favourite colour since long before I ever read ToG or knew it existed. By athletic build, I mean like the stature of, say, a multisports athlete, not the honed, trained one that SJMaas writes about. Finally, my hair goes all the way to the waist. Not just mid back or whatever you assumed.

I'm sorry that I didn't elaborate more on my thoughts of how I wanted my character to look. I won't make that mistake again. I see now that people need to know the exact description, otherwise they jump to conclusions.

If you still think I went and just copied another author's character, then let me know. I guess I'll ask one of my teammates to create a picture of how they imagine me in a fantasy world and use whatever they decide to make me look like as my appearance.

Yeah, sorry, but... it still sounds like you copied Aelin's character and just slightly changed her appearance. Please make a new character, one NOTHING LIKE Aelin.

My apologies. Give me a day or two so that my friend can make me a fantasy look that is the exact opposite of the ToG character.
CB Name: Aelin
CB Appearance (make it fantasy-based): I'll add the picture as a comment below this sheet as soon as I get it.
CB Personality: Stubborn. Not afraid to speak my mind. Loyal, but if you hurt me it will take a lot for me to forgive you. At first, I often seem very cold and distant, but that's only because I am trying to decide whether you're a moron or if I can trust you. If I decide to trust you, then I am very teasing, fun-loving, and laugh freely. I can be either very compassionate and empathetic or just flat out sarcastic and wry, should I choose to be. I also tend to have a quick temper, but when that happens, I try to prevent myself from saying something I'll regret by just shutting my mouth and refusing to say anything. Curious, don't get homesick. I'm not book smart, but rather life-smart. Strong swimmer.
Any other problems with what I have?

So I decided to pick two of the main characters (early bird bonus!) by putting all of the names so far into a hat and drawing. The first two main characters are...

Danie and elementgirl! Congrats!

Here are your revised character sheets, along with my charries' revised character sheets. :)

Two main character spots and one main villain spot are still open! Don't lose hope, lol!

Main characters:

The Fighter:

Name: Esthaenie G

Gender: Female

Appearance: Medium height, with waist-length red hair in a
complicated braided crown around her head. Gray/green eyes framed by large,
dark purple glasses. Wears a simple purple gown. Has huge white angel wings.

Personality: Quiet and introverted, but friendly. Very
smart. Stubborn at times. Seems courageous, but really insecure.

Species: Avariel/winged elf

Alignment: Neutral Good

The Rogue:

Name: Danielle Amora

Appearance: Bright green hair cut in a bob, brown eyes with
a mischevious glint, short in height. Her ears are normal but a bit on the
large side.  Wears a black cloak with green markings, with the sleeves
rolled up to her elbow. Baggy pants and a shirt with no sleeves. Large brown
boots that go right below her knees.

Personality: Bold, has strong opinions, and protective.
Tries too hard to be cool, is more intelligent than you might think, but can
come off as annoying and rather rude. Rather witty, has a good sense of humor
but is still on the sensitive side.

Species: Half elf

Alignment: Chaotic Good

The Wizard:

Oooh! While my D&D knowledge is sparse, Chaotic good sounds cool! I sense debating among Danielle and Westward *wiggles eyebrows*

Ooh, exciting. I loved your True Names solo write!

(do I sense hints of D&D?)

CB Name: St.Owl

CB Appearance: As a fairly tall person for my age, I already look large, but huge feathered white wings help complete that. My eyes are blue, a little lighter than the sky, and my hair is a startlingly light blond, reaching my shoulderblades. My skin is pale but tanned from the sun (I don't burn easily), with freckles dotted all over my body.

When I'm trying to look impressive or nice, I wear a white dress. It's tight at the top but flowy at the bottom, made up of many layers. One top of that I wear a similar white cloak buttoned with a blue gem. (or something blue. Whatever works best.)  I'll wear my hair loose and give it a slight wave, and put on tall zippered white boots.

However, my normal appearance is a bit more scruffy. I still wear zippered boots, but they're black/brown (whichever you want, I don't care) and don't reach as high. No matter the temperature, I always wear long pants, loose ones that don't cling to my skin. I wear whatever form of clothing is closest to a t-shirt with a hooded white cloak over it - stained and frayed, obviously well-used.

CB Personality: *sighs* I'm terrible at describing myself. Well then. I can definitely be arrogant, and though I made a lot of jokes about my future, many of them I actually take seriously. I pride myself on my creativity and consider it my greatest asset. I'm full of confidence until I get to the point I've been thinking about; at that time, I get nervous and bumbly, but I can pull through when it counts. I can be awkward around people and hate being flattered.

. . . I can't think of anything else, so I hope that prior knowledge plus that is enough to suffice.

Replace "hints of D&D" with "that I literally ripped off D&D's worldbuilding 100% and am COMPLETELY unashamed" and you're spot on.

If it's random then your characters should be drawn out of hats too. You are writing the story but its kinda sad to take up three main spots with all of your characters.

Maybe make it so only one character from each person could be a main? I mean this isnnt my story, but this seems kinda unfair!

Sorry, but I can't write a story with 20 main characters just to "not be mean!" to people. It's pretty much impossible. Seven main characters is about the max I can write.

Also, if you arent' a main, you can still be a secondary! Secondaries can still have big roles in the story, they just aren't the main characters.

And yes, I'm drawing the characters out of hats.

Sorry about this,

Brookeira

(May 9, 2017 - 7:20 pm)

Well, I'm not saying you should have 20 main characters, I'm just saying that three of the seven you are writing should not be yours.  That basically means there are five slots open. Threeeeee characters our of seven is...well...I hope you get my point.

Sorry Brookeira.

Actually, Westward and Eris aren't entirely mine. They were half-made by my friends in real life who go to my school. Illaeara is actually the only one who is mine 100%.
