Okay, do any of y'all remember that awesome RP I started this fall that I had trouble keeping up with b/c I had rehearsals (or maybe I didn't mention that)? I'm rebooting it. In a whole new way. Welcome to the Griffinfeather School for the Determined! The school for the super-skilled and super-ambitious...just in a whole different type of way. GSD teaches through a combination of hands-on classes, daring competitions, and all-out warfare. Oops, did I say warfare? I meant TRAINING.
This RP will be structured in a slightly different type of way than your average RP. First of all, instead of telling us all about your character before we even dig in, you simply become your character. This is a challenge, as their promisingly unique personalities and relationships will have to unfold throughout the story instead of being written up in a charrie sheet. To sign up, just put your character's name, age (any age at all is acceptable, though roles will be slightly different per age; more on that later), and your character's (not your own) answers to a quick survey. This survey is like taking the Hogwarts House test. It will determine who the head of your training will be. If I get at least three people signed up, I will start the RP on a different thread. I know this may seem complicated, but I wanted to go ahead and start the real RP from my character's POV and situation instead of me giving the instructions for the RP. So, here are a couple rules...
1. No superpowers, but no ordinary talents either. Your characters may have talents that BEND the rules of science but do not break them. Some examples are; being able to judge the distance of something just by looking at it, being able to know exactly which direction a far-off sound is coming from, having an internal compass (metephorically), etc., as far as small things go, and then perhaps some bigger things such as enhanced senses, perfect accuracy (CALLED), etc. You may think "that's no fun," but it's actually pretty uncanny. Your characters were born with these abilities, perfectly honed and ready for action. They didn't come from experience or practice. Now that's a little more superschool worthy.
3. If you are above 19 or so, you are a teacher or other part of the school staff, and that is fine, we do need staff, but you should pay attention to the "rules" made up as we go by other staff RPers. That being said, we shouldn't back each other into a corner with too many rules!!
4. Oh look at me. I'm a hypoctite. Too many rules ;) HAVE FUN! Defy the laws of science!

Well, I got lots of replies, so that's GREAT! It's time for me to work on the real RP post, which I want to be as cool as possible. In the meantime, keep signing up on this thread, which can be for questions, plot developements, discussion, etc., and look out for the RP thread!

Okay, we don't have to actually post under our characters' names. I was reading back over this thread and realized that MIGHT be a bit confusing. So as far as "become your character" goes, we can just RP like we always do, just focusing a bit more on character development through writing b/c it's not all mapped out in a charrie sheet (see what I did there? I turned this into an actual exercise...evil me!). Also, I'm working on the thread, so it will be up soon! Remember, the charrie sheet isn't here. No one knows a lot about your character, so we're basically going into this RP like a reader dives into a novel. We don't know each other's characters—but we're going to find out! Yes, I know, I have way too much energy for a sane person. And thanks to whoever wrote that PJO the Musical thread on Pudding's Place, I now have, "Lost!" Stuck in my head. Except, mine goes: "we're lost in the snow in the middle of Decepmyth and we're never gonna make it out alive..." so yeah, that is going around and around inside of my head and driving me crazy.
