~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A figure stood at the base of the mountain, his brown cloak blowing in the wind. The creases on his face showed signs of aging, but the man was still very strong. His brow sat low above his eyes, and he seemed as if he was watching something on the mountain very closely.
Then the man began to climb. It wasn't long until the man reached the peak of the mountain. He drew something out of his cloak, thrusting it into the air. Seven pieces of paper fluttered in the wind, drifting down, heading for the village below.
^  _   _ ^
..
Èolith trudged along the cobblestone path leading through the village. She pulled her coat tighter around her body as the snow began to fall. Suddenly, she noticed something blow by her face. Èolith snatched the piece of parchment from the chilly air.
Child,
The north is calling. We must arise once again. The strong. The fearless. The warriors. The hunters and the huntresses. The seekers. The wanderers. The ones who will make up our small party. Come, join us. Find your journey. Come to the top of Fuar Peak. Gather with us. We will be strong once again.
Arlerac, Huntsman of the North.
Èolith gasped. There was a small symbol beside the signature. The mark of the Dragon Hunters. She could only imagine what this meant.
Many years ago, the legendary Dragon Hunters had braved the snowy mountains of north Daklur. Some thought that while up there, the hunters and huntresses fought and stayed dragons, protecting the village below. Others claimed that these men and women tamed the dragons, creating an alliance. Only a true Dragon Hunter knew. These people were both admired and feared.  And becoming one was only for the strong willed and not for the weak of heart. A few years ago, however, the Dragon Hunters were banned from the village, and one by one, they began to disappear, until they became just a myth. When the Dragon Hunters were gone, the dragons began to slowly close in on the village, expanding their territory farther and farther down the mountains, until it wasn't even safe to be beyond the forest at the base of Fuar Peak after sundown.
However, there was once a prophecy that a time like this would come. And it was only the rise of a bigger evil. It was said that seven would be chosen. Seven children. They would be the next generation of Dragon Hunters.
Èolith had always loved hearing legends and stories of the Dragon Hunters. She had dreamed of becoming one herself. So when she read this piece of paper, there was no question that she would go to Fuar Peak. Èolith ran all the way home, forgetting about the cold, her head filled with wonderings about what the other six would be like.
If you've read this far, great job! As you probably guessed, this is an RP. I hope that the snippets I posted were self explanatory.
-Be kind and respectful, always (this one is kinda obvious).
-No OP charries.
-I will accept 7-10 charries, that's it. Six of these will be the next generation of Dragon Hunters and Huntresses, and I'll allow some older dragon hunters such as Arlerac. I'm going to start with a one charrie per person limit, but if not enough people join, then maybe I'll allow extras.
-Try and develop your charries. Really try. If you write a one sentence personality, I might not accept your charrie.
-Password: Dragontooth
Here's the charrie sheet:
Name: (Please make it a fantasy-sounding name like Arlerac and Èolith)
Age: (The young dragon hunters are 12-15 and the older dragon hunters are 40s and 50s)
Gender:
Appearance:
Personality:
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Background:
Password:
Other:
I'll post Èolith's when this pops up. We'll start when enough people join.
Làreya~
I sit on the ledge of the mountain, wrapping my tattered cloak tightly around myself. The village down below looks tiny from this height. I can see the street where I lived, the church steeple, the miniature houses with only a few lighted windows, here and there. All that is behind me now.
Faintly, from somewhere below me, I hear, "Is anyone around?"
"Up here!" I shout back. I look down and see a girl around my age climbing on the rocks ten feet below. She looks up, and I wave. A few seconds later, she is sitting next to me.
"Hello," I say. "What's your name?" By this point, I'm surprised that I've been so friendly to a stranger.
"Evergreen Snow. You can call me Ever."
"I'm Làreya," I say.
We sit in silence for a while, then I ask, "Do you want to be friends?" Now I'm even more surprised at myself. Maybe this thing is starting to change me.
Èolith~
Aaren hauls me up, grimacing. We both flop down on the rock away from the edge of the cliff, breathing hard.
"Hey Èo," He grins. "Fancy seeing you here."
I smile sheepishly, a little embarrassed that I almost plummeted to my death in front of Aaren, though I'm not sure why. We've been friends for as long as I can remember. "So you got the letter too?" I ask, breaking the silence. He nods.
"Figures, our moms were both Hunters, we were probably both at the top of the list." He replies.
"Thanks for the help," I chuckle. "Shall we go meet these other hunters?"
I notice two girls sitting at the edge of the cliff, talking. As we near them, it occurs to me again where we are. "Think of it, Aaren." I say half to myself and half to him. "Did you ever think we would both be at The Gathering on Dark Moon?" He shakes his head.
"Hi!" One of the girls' voices jolts me out of my thoughts. "I'm Evergreen Snow, but you can call me Ever."
"Hello," I reply. "Èolith. Èolith Caragon."
Hope I didn't control anyone too much!
Yes!!! It's started!!!
Sora ~~~~~~~~~~~~
I watch several new people talking outside the cave, feeling rather secluded. Should I go introduce myself? I thought. No...I don't think I want to. Inwardly, I really felt angry at myself for not plucking up the courage to go out there and simply introduce myself. You sissy! I told my brain. You can loose an arrow in battle without even thinking about it, and yet you shrink from just saying hi to someone?! But when they come inside, somebody will surely make the first move. I don't have to say anything right now. I sigh. No introductions right now. Thankfully.
~Drake Skiá
I was more than happy to accept the invitation to join the dragon hunters when the letter fell from the sky to my feet. My mother apparently approved of my decision. "You'll learn how to slay a mighty dragon!" mother had said. "You'll make a new dynasty of the Skiá with monster slayers! We must prepare!" I sighed as she remembered my mother frantically getting everything ready. I had never seen her so excited. After escaping the streets of the Skiá capital, a town named Frøgard, I headed to Fuar peak.
Now here I am, climbing up the peak. It was quite easy, for there were lots of handholds, but you had to watch out for false handholds. I reached the top, I spotted four others that must've got the letter too. Being the awkward person I am, I just sat there, unsure what to do.
Teleriath~
Dark, silent, peace. Teleriath drew a deep breath. All of his emotions that have been poisoning his heart were gone. For the moment, at least. The second he opened his eyes they all came flooding back like a title wave. The trees around him swayed sleepily back and forth. As Teleriath got up from  beneath a large oak, the cold wind sent shivers down his spine. He wrapped his cloak tight around him and started his journey back up the mountain. Every Dark Moon Teleriath would come to the base of the mountain and hide out in a cave in the rocks nearby, for days, but he only had time for one day this year. Arliac had forced Teleriath to participate in the gathering, since, as Arliac had said, "new recruits" were coming. Probably just a bunch of whiny pip squeaks, Teleriath thought bitterly as he scaled the mountain with ease except for a slippery stone or two. As Teleriath reached the top, the moon was high in the sky. He heaved him self up on the stony ledge. He heard the trainees soft voices. He was just a bit behind them, so they couldn't see him but he could see them. Teleriath walked up behind a girl with whitish blondish hair but it looks more silver in the moonlight. "Better move into the cave, unless you want to be dinner for a very hungry dragon."
I can write today! Sorry if it's to short and not much dialogue, but I kind of left it so that you guys could pick up the conversation... TTFN!
Sora~~~~~~~~~~
The new kids come in nervously, with Teleriath behind them, looking very unexcited. " Oh, go easy on them Teleriath. Please." He sends me a fierce glare and stalks off to a corner. " Thanks," a stormy-eyed, raven-haired girl tells me. " Oh. Hi." I mumble. " " Are you a dragon hunter?" the new girl asks, eyeing the silver dragon crest fastening my gray cloak. " Well, sort of. I just completed my training about seven months ago, and now I'm a novice dragon huntress. Tonight you'll get your crest, which will be just like mine, but copper. Hunters/huntresses in training get copper crests, novices have silver, and senior dragon hunters have gold," I finish. The new girl nods her head. What's your name, by the way? I'm Drake." "I'm Sora." I reply, feeling better having made a new friend. Wow, that's probably the longest conversation I've ever had with anyone in my entire life, I think. It's...kind of nice.
I say yes to Layra. It will be good to have a friend. A girl, and a guy walked over.  I asked their name, and the girl told me her name. Eloith. It rings a bell.
Flashfoward to the persent. "Do you have a dragonhunter hertigage?"  I ask, smiling. It would be cool if they did.
~Ever~
Forgot about what I wrote before, except saying yes to Layra to be friends.
Air tickles the back of my neck, and someone says something behind me. I jump, and turn around. A boy\girl is standing behimd me in a cloack. The others have silenced, and are looking at him, too.
I look at him, confused. "you scared me..... Wait what are you doing here? Who are you?"  he stares back at me.
Letting telthorath answer, not that I would answr for him anyways. Sorry that was so short.
Wow its hard to keep up.
~Ever~
Introductions are made, and soon I am following him into the cave with others. Hes name is Telthrath.  Apparently if I had stayed outside I would of been eaten by a droagon. I know some things about dragons, mostly from the stories grandma told me, but not that.
Th cave is dark, and faces are hardish to see, clearly. I look at Telthrath with his black cloak. He's so mysterouis.. I walk up to him. I have a billion questions. "So we at the place were supposed to be, I think, and here you show up. Are you the person who sent me, and them the letter?"
Teleriath~
"Oh go easy on them Teleriath, please," Sora pleads with her eyes as well as her tounge. Teleriath walks away, mumbling.
Once in the cave, Evergreen looks at Teleriath with question, then walks up to him.
"So we are at the place we're supposed to be, I think, and here you show up. Are you the person who sent me, and them the letter?" Ever asks her eyes sparkling.
"To answer youre question Miss Snow, no. I am not the person who sent you the letter, Arlerac did, the chieften of us. I was completly against it. So I would suggest leaving me be and dont ask any more questions. Thats what Arlerac is here for."
And with that Teleriath walked away, deeper into the cave.
~~~~

Sorry this is so short guys but I have to go to bed soon. @Shade I tried to add what you bolth said into it. Do you think it works?

~ Drake Skiá

As we enetered the cave where the other dragon hunters were, I quickly looked around. There were unfortunately no dragons in sight. A man suddenly was suddenly scaring us with talk about us becoming dragon food. I was intimidated, this man, who I learn by conversation with another person, was named Teleriath. Then another dragon hunter talked to him, saying to go easy. "Thanks," I said, and I knew I will show Teleriath what a Skiá could do! "Oh. Hi." the dragon hunter said to me. "Are you a dragon hunter?" I asked. "Well, sort of. I just completed my training about seven months ago, and now I'm a novice dragon huntress." It was a girl, and I was kinda relieved. Some militaries don't allow females to have very important roles, just because girls often have less strength than males. The girl explained about the dragon hunter crests, pointing out each of their rankings. I introduced myself, and she introduced herself as Sora. She seemed nervous when speaking, and probably hasn't talked much ever.

"When will we start training? I want to show that Teleriath how dangerous I can be with a knife." I growled.

~~~~~~~~
IDK what to do right now... There's a shakespeare play at my school, and I'm super happy with my role. Because of the meetings I have to go to now, I may not post as often :(
Maybe Arlerac calls everybody to a meeting and explains all about the Dragon Hunters and everything. I'll leave it to someone else start Arlerac because I really CANNOT RP guys, or at least not forty- something-year-old ones. @Storm, I love what you just wrote about my charrie!!!
