SOLO WRITE OF

SOLO WRITE OF THE CENTURY!!!!!!

Ok, maybe not really, but still.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Concept:
So, this is something I’ve been working on for... Uh... A while. Back when I was balletandbow, Brookeria made this absolutely AMAZING Solo Write which I, being me, immediately started writing fanfiction off of. In my CB hiatus, that has evolved very, very far away from Brooke’s original story, but that was the inspiration.
You are one of eight teenaged teachers in a school. You and the others woke up three years ago in the middle of a forest with no memories except each other’s names. You were found by a kind, if slightly eccentric, man, who ended up legally adopting all eight of you. The Professor, as you know him by, started this school for ‘gifted’ children about a year and a half after he found you.
But here’s the catch: The school? It’s for magic. One of you has wings. Another two can turn invisible. Another can heal anyone they touch. Three more can control fire, ice, and water respectively. And the last can control this strange force that flows through the world, the force you simply call Magic.
No more of your memories have returned, but after discovering a few more local kids with similar powers, you decided to help them learn to control their gifts as well. The new students have arrived for the second full year of school, and everything is going well. Until all eight of you are snatched from your beds and whisked away to... Somewhere.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Soooo, yeah. Ideally, I’d have about 16 people, about an even split between boys and girls, but we’ll make do. Honestly, this is going to be first come first serve, and I’m going to be determining charries for each of you guys by your sheets, so no guarantee of a major role. I PROMISE I will have you in the story as long as you enter within the allotted time.

Uh, hi! Obviously, my two posts before the weekend ends plan did not work, but as compensation I will post both today, AND tomorrow! (Possibly Tuesday but hopefully tomorrow!) My family had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my mom's parents out in CO, and I hope you guys had a great time too!

Part IX (Warning, Probably The Most Gory This Thing Will Ever Get, And It's Like The Least Goriest Thing Ever)

Cat stared at the boy before her, outstretched hands trembling. The writhing cloud of mist and snow between them shuddered and began to dissolve, but Cat gritted her teeth and forced her hands closer together, slightly solidifying the cloud.

Ten, maybe fifteen minutes ago, Cat had woken up in a bedroom made entirely of white and silver shades. Groggy, she had stumbled out the door to find herself in a winding corridor with eight doors, each a different color.

Cat had turned to see that the door she had emerged from was the same shade of silver-white that the bedspread had been inside the room. The other three doors on that side of the hall were sky blue, pitch black, and an irridecent lavender, respectively.

As Cat listened, a thud and footsteps had sounded from behind one of the doors, though she hadn't been able to tell which. A second later, a boy in a long blue coat with short blond hair had barreled around the corner and had skidded to a stop outside the blue door. He had opened the door and darted inside, but the door had slammed shut behind him. Cat had heard a splash and a thud, and then the murmer of voices inside.

Even more confused, Cat had whirled around to see the other four doors, each a different color. Blazing orange, pale gold, deep green, and faint cream, each door was identical to all the others. Scrambling over to the orange door, Cat had pounded on the smooth wood, instinctively knowing that her brother lay beyond. "Jackson!" She had yelled.

"Cat?" He had answered, sounding sleepy and confused. "What's going on? Where are we?"

"I don't know!" Cat had cried. "I just woke up and-"

A shout from inside the room. "What the-"

Then a thud.

"Jackson!" Cat had turned, planning to try to ram the door in, when she saw the boy. Instinctively, she had thrown out her hand, and a three inch icicle had embedded itself in the boy's shoulder. As he had stumbled back, clutching his bleeding shoulder, Cat had thrown out her hands once again, summoning a cloud of mist and snow.

So, there they were, Cat trying to hold together her only defence while the strange boy tried to rip it apart.

He was pale and sweating, the crimson blood staining his pristine white coat, indentical to the other boy's but for the color. His uninjured arm was trembling, extended outward to dissolve Cat's cloud. Panting, he lifted his other arm to swipe his long dark hair out of his brown eyes, wincing at the movement.

"Look," he said. "My name is Jacin. I'm not trying to hurt you." He stepped back and lowered his hand. Without his magic holding the cloud back, it expanded to five times it's size in a second.

"Please," Jacin's voice called through to mist. "I just want to- To-"

There was a thump.

And silence.

Cat gasped and lowered her hands. The fog cleared in an instant. Jacin was laying on the floor, clutching his injured shoulder, eyes rolled back in his head.

Dangnabbit, these posts just aren't coming out when I want them to! Sorry guys, but I'll try to at least post kinda consistently.

@Tuxedo Kitten, I'm actually going to take you up on your offer to make your charrie a boy, just for a little bit of simplification on my part. Terest is coming!

Part V (Warning, I Actually Remembered How To Use Roman Numerals, So The Last Part Accidentally Says 'Part Nine')

Cal stood abruptly as a shriek eminated from beyond the door. Quenta, the girl who had been explaining things to him, jumped up as well.

"What was that?" She asked, whisking her  cream skirts away from her legs as she hurried toward the door. She flung open the door, and shrieked as well. "Jacin!"

Cal bolted out of the room behind her to find Cat kneeling over a strange boy with long brown hair.

"Cat!" He called, pulling her to her feet. "What happened?"

"I-" Cat was gasping, and gulped a few times before responding. "I just woke up in a bedroom and came out here. He scared me and I..." She trailed off, looking back down at the boy. Cal looked too.

Quenta was bending over the boy, long brown hair falling into his face as she struggled to do something.

"Quenta, what's going on? What's wrong?"

"Cal, come here," Quenta pulled him down next to her, leaving Cat whimpering behind the two of them. "Now, I need you to keep your hand here," she placed them on the boy's shoulder, on either side of what Cal now saw was an open, bleeding wound. "And press," Quenta finished.

Cal did as instructed.

"Good." Quenta turned and started fumbling with something tied around her waist. "LUCA! KERIAN? Are you up here?"

With a bang, a green and a blue door flung open, and two more boys came running out, accompanied by Veronica and Ursa.

"What happened?" The one with Ursa called, jogging ahead of the others.

The other boy swore and ducked past the first, kneeling down beside Cal. "Jacin, you idiot."

The boy nudged Cal's hands aside and took over himself, so Cal stood back with Veronica, Cat, and Ursa. Cat was shaking, and Veronica pulled her into a hug as Ursa headed over to the huddle around Jacin.

"What happened?" Cal asked, wrapping both girls up in his wings and they sank to the wooden floor. The girls murmerd their stories as the three of them watched Ursa and the boy Veronica called Kerian bending over Jacin. Quenta stood off to the side with the boy Ursa has came with, looking pale.

After a few minutes, Kerian flung a hand up in the air, and a scattering of pink stained water flew over their heads and hit the wall above them. Jacin began to stir, and Kerian bent back down over him.

"Stay still, you idiot," he said gently.

Ursa hovered over the boy's injured shoulder for a few more minutes, then let him sit up. Cal and the others all clustered around Jacin and Quenta, who had been by his side as soon as he had woken up.

"Now that everybody's conscious," the boy Ursa had been with said. "Would somebody explain what actually happened?"

Cat gulped and opened her mouth, but Jacin, who was now standing, cut her off. "It was my fault. Catherine had woken and made her way out here. I startled her, and she acted appropriately."

"By shooting you with an icicle?" Quenta asked, eyeing Cat suspiciously.

"She acted just as I would have," Jacin said, laying a placating hand on the girl's shoulder. "Now, I suggest we collect the others, and give these newcomers some of the explanations I'm sure they're anxious for."

Quenta led Cal over to a golden door, and knocked impatiently. "Torin!" She called. "Come on out!"

A boy with tan hair that reflected golden light opened the door, and let Delia pass before him. She blinked unbelievingly at Cal for a moment before darting forward and crushing him in a hug.

"Ouch," he grunted. "Wings!"

Delia untangled herself from his feathery appendages and straightened her glasses. "Sorry! It's just really good to see someone I actually know! Who is that?" She added quietly as the four of them headed back towards the others.

"Quenta," Cal hissed back. "She's nice though."

Delia nodded. "Torin's ok. He just seems kinda... I don't know, reserved?"

"They all are," Cal said. "They're keeping something from us."

"Yeah."

------

In case you're wondering, there are a few charries which are not based off CBers, and Luca is one of them.

Nothing quite beats geting stabed in the chest with an icle, for a entrance! I'm throughly enjoying reading this solo write and can't wait to see what happens next. I specificaly  liked the descriptions of each characters magical powers.

Is there a connection between the newly introduced character's  power and the allready intreduced character's powers,because Kerian and Veronica both have water magic,while Jancin and Catherine both have cloud/weather related powers ?
