Inception Roleplay!

The man leapt across the cars, with unnatural speed and strength. He continued to carry the weapon and finally crashed through a portal. The damage done on the other side, however, would be far greater than anything he may have done in his homeland.

Gabria smoothed out the fabric on her skirt and adjusted her veil. A small chestnut curl escaped out of the area around her ear, but she didn’t notice it. Even the London train couldn’t keep out the biting cold, and she desperately tried to conserve the energy and heat that she had. She looked curiously around at the few people in her compartment-she even had the sneaking suspicion they were all the only people on the train. Gabria shivered with excitement. Once she got back to Scotland, her postulancy might be complete. However, the sisters at the monastery were always secretive about those things.
Looking back towards the train doors as they shut, she began to relax as the train rolled forward. Her head leaned on the window, her curious green eyes looking out towards the outside, and soon, the hum lured her to sleep.

When Gabria woke up, the train had only a few minutes before reaching its destination, which was Essex, England. She silently got up and leaned against the metal bar, clutching her bag. For a moment, she wished she was completely a nun, as they get to wear large robes that would surely shield her from the frigid temperatures.
She could feel the train slowing down, but the windows were foggy, causing her to not be able to see anything.
Others rose around her, but when the train doors opened, she gasped in horror.
She slowly stumbled out, and looked around her.
New York.
And by the looks of the people and the place, it was New York in the 40s.
Gabria looked towards the others, and their faces had the same shocked mask.
She suddenly felt something heavy in the pocket of her dress, so without thinking, she reached for it. Her slim fingers took it out before she peered at the letter curiously.
Stop the man in the bright blue overcoat. He’s changing the future by altering the past. He’ll bring chaos to everything and everyone you love. Stop him. Then you’ll get your answers.

Explanation time!
A man has escaped from some century, possibly in the future, with a device powerful enough to alternate the past. These characters board a train on accident that goes straight to the past that was altered. They are the only people that know of what this man can do, and they are the only ones that can stop him.
The 1940s that they enter is one where there was never a World War II. Now, this may seem good at first, as countless numbers of people died in WWII. However, this only causes more tension among all countries that will finally blow over in the future these charries come from. When this blows over, there will be even more people killed during the war. The password is your name hourglass (ex. Kyoto hourglass). They must stop this from happening by stopping the man in order to keep history the way it was.

Full Name: Gabria Elowen Donnell
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Country of Origin: Pluscarden, Scotland
Appearance: Gabria has shoulder blade length chestnut brown hair with natural golden streaks. It is in loose curls. Her skin is fair but with a tint of tan from being outside often. She has big, green eyes with golden flecks. She has freckles sprayed across her face, making her seem young, but still her age. She is quite slim, but has hidden strength, and is the average height of her age. Gabria has to wear the nun veil, but not quite yet the robes. She sometimes tears her dresses, because she still climbs trees and runs up the green hills.
Personality: Gabria’s personality is similar to Maria Von Trapp’s, in that she is very free spirited and doesn’t follow the norm. She has an amazing voice and loves singing, but is shy about it when around others. Gabria is very intelligent and very curious about the world around her. Sometimes she has trouble following authority, but she never means to offend people. She’s funny and always makes others laugh, just by what she does. Her positive attitude is contagious. However, deep down, she’s actually quite sensitive and quite introverted. Gabria is always observant, especially in new atmospheres.
Background: Gabria comes from a farming family which also herded Highland Cattle. The family consisted of her, her older brothers, her younger sister, and her parents. Her older brothers all went into the city and made big names for themselves while her sister still lives with her parents, being only 16. Gabria went on to be a nun, because she often thought of it as neat to be one. However, she’s still not fully aware of the responsibilities.

Shipping: Yes! I think it’d add a lot to Gabria if she was shipped with someone that she would fall for, and that would draw her away from becoming a nun (preferably opposite gender, please :)

This is an other for the RP, but as soon as they step off the train, their clothes transform into 40s style clothes for their occupation or role.

Full Name: Jack Aaron Ellis
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Country of Origin: United States
Appearance: He has messy brown hair that looks like he pays no mind to it, even though he trys in vain every morning to make it behave. His skin is tanned from the sun, and he has several small scars on his arms from the forest. His eyes are dark brown, and seem sort of inquisitive, as if he's always deeply pondering something. He's a bit taller than average, but not by much, and very strong.
Personality: He's very curious and always likes to try new things, but is afraid of what others will think of him. He tries to dial down all his emotions and make himself seem more ordinary on the outside. His mind is always working overtime, and he has a huge imagination. He's really good at climbing and building, and always has a plan. However, he tends to focus on his faults rather than his strengths, making him a tad vulnerable. When he was younger, he was often bullied, seen as the weak, easy target.
Background: He grew up in a tiny town in a woodsy part of Tennessee, so he spent most of his childhood outdoors. When he's in the woods, he prefers to be alone, partly to be alone with his thoughts, and partly because when he was younger, his big brother handcuffed him to a tree and left him there for three hours. He's always dreamed of being an actor, and saved up ever since he was nine for a train ticket to New York City. When he turned nineteen, he left Tennessee and set off for Broadway. He found himself very out of place there, and tried not to be noticed too much, unless he was auditioning. After about a month of being in New York, and not getting cast, there was a huge bank robbery just around the corner from where he was staying, with his aunt. The police came knocking on the door the next day, claiming that there was evidence that pointed to him. He'd pleaded his innocence, but the police were adamant. He was to be punished for a crime he didn't commit. His aunt, a wealthy, kindhearted lady, helped him pay his way onto a ship bound for England and evade the police.

Full Name: Laura Roisin Walsh
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Country of origin: Galway, Ireland
Appearance: Red hair which she doesn't like much. It's wavy, tangly and almost unmanageable- but she still persists in having it shoulder blade length. She usually puts it up in a ponytail. Her skin is pale and extremely prone to sunburns, much to her embarrasment. She's 5'6" and about 135 lbs. Her eyes are a sky-blue color. She constantly wears a gold claddagh ring which was given to her by her great-aunt.
Personality: Science, math, writing, and sports are her things. She absolutely hates drawing, painting, or any other art related thing. She's somewhat drawn back, although ambiverted. Mostly calm and level headed, except for when you insult friends or family- then she snaps. Her greatest weakness is her general lack of trust. She likes learning new things, and for the most part doesn't care what people think (although, she is mostly secretive about being a huge fangirl of several books + T.V. shows). More character development later.
Background: Important memory!!!: In fifth class, her very best friend essentially ditched her for more popular friends, telling them all Roisin's secrets- for a month or two, school was really hard. She did eventually find close friends who she really trusted, but not until her second year in Secondary School. She lived in Galway with her parents, older sister and younger brother and adorable cat, Mayfleet, until she graduated from her senior cycle and left for England. (Either for college or atheletic training) She was especially close to a great aunt of hers, who was always very kind to her, and gave her a gold claddagh ring that had been in the famiy for many years not long before she died.

Appearance (details! ^^): Long, straight, dirty blonde hair with highlights. She normally ties it up in a ponytail or a bun. Always has a scrunchie nearby. She has contacts, but she never bothers to put them in, so she's always seen with wide-rimmed black glasses. Average height, slightly on the short side. Slightly tanned skin with a couple stray freclkes dotting her nose. Wears a slight amount of makeup. Her go-to clothes are sweatshirts and yoga pants!
Personality: Cheerful, bubbly and outgoing. Pretty gullible, oblivious to other's emotions sometimes (Eg, if she makes someone mad she won't notice). Not the smartest, but always willing to try new things. She is a very hard worker, but is easily distracted. Can be subconsciously selfish sometimes, but is quick to apologize if someone says she hurt them. Loves animals and is a very huggy person.
Background: Lola grew up living with her mom, dad, and older brother. She was especially close with her older brother, but when her parents divorced, she stayed with her mom and her brother moved in with her dad. She had a pretty normal life with her mom. She's at college now, studying for vetrinarian science and minoring in history.

AH! Spot reserved for the ambitious news writer! I don't know what I'm thinking, joining this, I'm probably stupid and out of my mind because when it comes to dedicating myself to things I have the dedication of a toddler but I've wanted to do another roleplay for so long and this one seems really interesting! I apologize ahead of time, though, if I end up bailing out or posting infrequently because I have very limited computer time.

Full Name: Katia Yelena Mikhailov
Age: 16

Country of origin: Rostov-on-Don, Russia
Appearance: Katia is 5' 8", and all awkward limbs, or so she thinks. She has a short torso, long arms, and long legs. She weighs about 142 lbs and has pale freckled skin. Her hair is fine, straight, and honey blonde, though the roots of her hair turn to caramel brown in the winter. Her hair falls to waist-length, and she usually keeps it in braids. She has blue eyes, a strong nose, and a stronger jawline. Katia almost never wears makeup, unless she needs to look older. She usually wears jeans and t-shirts.
Personality: Katia is introverted, quiet, and prefers to observe, especially when it comes to other people. She hates small talk and socializing, so she often comes off as unfriendly, which she is, to be honest. Katia prefers to be alone, though she does have a few close friends. She has trust issues, and she's one of those people who pretends they can't hear you and walks right by. It takes a while for her to open up, even to people she's known for years. She generally gives curt answers to questions, and often acts like she has somewhere better to be. Katia is prideful but insecure about the way she acts and lives in constant fear of embarassing herself. She has a great memory, but has a problem letting go and keeps replaying incidents in her head, constantly playing the game of 'what if ' with herself. Katia has bipolar disorder, but doesn't know it, so often feels frustrated with herself. Despite all this, Katia has a different side that people don't really know. She's caring, but doesn't always show it, and always willing to help out or offer advice. She's resourceful and has great ideas, though she doesn't always express them, and she can pick up skills really quickly. Katia is calm, extremely reliable, and almost never gets mad ( but she does often get annoyed) though when she does, it's a cold cutting fury as opposed to the loud explosive anger that most people have. Katia is an ISTJ and her RPG alignment is lawful neutral.
Background: Katia has two older sisters who are both 10 years older than she is, and have since then gone to college, moved away, and have never come back. She often recieves letters and postcards from them, and can't help feeling just a little bit jealousl. Her parents are almost always fighting with each other, so Katia prefers to be away from home as much as possible. Katia was born to a relatively middle-class family in a coastal town in Russia. From a young age, she has always been considered beautiful. When she was ten, she was offered a modeling contract with insert-big-name-model-agency-here, and her mother was all for it, but her father refused to sign the release forms and thus ruining what her mother calls her chance to make her big break. After turning down said contract, Katia has been offered numerous more, but none as prestigious as that first one. Since then, her mother has been angry at her father, leading to strainer relationships in their household. Katia's real passion, however, is for music, and her instrument of choice is the violin. Most people in her town consider her a prodigy, but Katia knows that everything she's ever acccomplished comes from grit and hard work. As soon as she was old enough, she applied to the Moscow Conservatory of music, and *surprise, surprise* she was accepted! But life in the conservatory learning to become a professional musician isn't as idealistic as she'd hoped. . . (obviously her age/background will change depending on the role I end up with)

Appearance (details! ^^): Christopher has bright blue eyes and thick, slightly too long sandy colored hair. His skin appears somewhat rough from acne scarring. He has a medium build and quick, agile hands. Generally wears jeans and short sleeves.
Personality (include the strengths and weaknesses): He is gentle and compassionate, but quiet and rather shy. He is a passive communicator and can easily be silenced by more outgoing, charismatic types.
Background: Grew up in Newfoundland in a family of fishermen who can trace their roots back two hundred years in Newfoundland and Labrador. He and his siblings were all taught to play the violin by his mother and how to fish by his father as soon as they were old enough to handle themselves. He saved money until he had enough to travel to England to get an education and was traveling on the train to visit some friends in Essex.

Appearance: Straight dark brown hair of kind of a rich tone reaching about halfway down her back, somewhat of a pale complexion, slim, medium height, clear blue eyes
Personality: Introverted, very quiet, never says more than she has to, serious, honestly rather surly in the way she comes across, loyal to close friends, clever, very observant of both people and the smallest details, impossibly stubborn if she feels she is resposible for something, social skills are her glaring lack, doesn't trust easily, doesn't lose her composure very easily, but when she's angry, she's REALLY angry, Myers-Briggs personality type is INFP, sometimes gets lost in thought and kinda spaces out
Background: Keeley lived in England with her mom for the first six years of her life because of her mom's work, and then moved back to Poland so she and her mom were reunited with Keeley's dad, a native of Poland. Keeley developed a passion for piano and also for figure skating, and got really good at both. She became torn between the two as each started demanding more and more of her time, and ended up choosing skating although she still kept up the piano a little bit. Then when she was about fifteen, she got a serious foot injury while skating, and came back to piano in earnest while she was recuperating. When she was able to skate again, she'd lost a lot of her endurance she'd built up. She ended up going back into piano full fling, but is now struggling big time to get out there and make money on concerts because she's only been doing it in earnest for a year and not enough people realize how good she is to buy tickets or whatever.
