I realy want

I realy want to be an author, but I have disgraphia and I keep on messing up! just when I think I have a hang of things, I get a solid blow to the face when I get a bad grade, even if it's not in English. I have to get better grades before I can do what I want, and even so, how will I get a silly adventure book published?

I believe that you can become an Author, I want to be one as well but I don't have much freetime and I am not that good at creating storylines. I'm my friends' editor for their stories but I want to eventually write a book with at least 600 pages and 55 chapters. I support you and I believe in you. You will become a great author someday and I think I speak for all of us on cricket when I say;"you can do it." I had lots of grammar and spelling errors just writing this too, but it helps to have someone check it, the creative writing and random ideas are the fun parts plus you can have one of your friends check your story for spelling and grammar mistakes. It helps to have a different person check your story to make sure that your story makes as much sense to them as it does to you.

you have to remember, you're going up against elders that have had years of practice, and the fact that in the US 1 out of 10 people normally get published, (don't qoute me on this, but i'm 98% sure this is the right percentage). it's definatly going to take some practice, but don't get discouraged! you know what? in six years, you're going to look back at some of the things you've written at your age right now, and your going to think it's awful, but that doesn't mean it isn't good right now, 16 year olds have different standerds that 13 year olds, I don't doubt that you are an awesome writer, but as you practice you will only get better!

and as for the grades thing, (because I've suffered close to the same situation) a qoute from my English teacher, who is the most amazing person I've ever met, 'you are more than a grade'

don't let a little D or even an F define you, look at all the other B's and A's you've gotten this year, ask your teacher for some help, they might let you do it over again or maybe they will let you do some sort of extra credit to get your grade up. there is always a solution, just remember the memory of your person is what your classmates and teachers, and parents and family will remember not a grade, not a simple letter on a page.

you are amazing, and always will be, keep writing, and just remember, sometime the path to success is in dire need of attention, it isn't always clear, sometimes you have to take a sword and fight your way out, but just know the end is always there.

Do you mean dislexia? If you have a hard time reading, try a diffrent method of experiencing fiction, like a graphic novel.

As for grades, here’s some advice a friend once gave me. “Xiongmao,” she said, reverting to Mandarin. “You will always try your best in a million lifetimes, but no matter how many times you try to prove this fact wrong, you will never be perfect.” She sighed, and looked me in the eyes. “Do not waste your time on pointless escapees for flawlessness, my friend. Nothing is nearly important as the fact that you tried.” Straightening some papers, she got to the point. “Now, if you still want me to quiz you on those flash cards...”

I myself have never published a book, as much of my writing is Fanfiction. I have heard of many people who publish via Amazon. In fact, my little sister’s favorite series started out as Amazon published. You may have heard of it: Gameknight999.

If you are ever in need of an editor for your hypothetical book, there are many people on here (including me) who would be more than happy to help your out.

Never feel ashamed to ask for help.

We recommend young writers enter our Cricket League contests. That's a great opportunity to be published in Cricket magazine and on its website. And it comes up several times a year.
