Bionics RP?I

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Bionics RP?I

Bionics RP?

I know the Magic Ones RP is slowing down, so maybe I could do another one.

So the story of the Bionics is that an organization called the OCARBH (Organization for Creating And Researching Bionic Humans) has experimented on you, which accidentally "deletes" most of your memory.  You are now stuck in the hospital-like organization HQ with the other Bionics.  You know that parts of your body are no longer human, and you can use them to your advantage.

Here's the charrie sheet!

Name (one of the few things you remember):

Age (how old do you look?  Most are under 18):

Gender Pronouns:

Appearance:

List of bionic parts: (Maximum of 4):

Open to shipping?:

Other:

Also, the personalities will be TBD because most of people's memories will be figured out as you go.

Here's mine!

Name (one of the few things you remember): Becka

Age (how old do you look?  Most are under 18): 15

Gender Pronouns: She/her

Appearance: Straight hair about 18 inches long, almost glowy blue eyes, has a smirk on her face all the time, fair skin, about 5'3"

List of bionic parts: (Maximum of 4): Both legs are made of geometric bio-engineered metal that she can control as if they were actual human parts, her left arm is a lower tech more human-looking form with mechanical joints, and some of her face is implanted with silver. (total of 4)

Open to shipping?: Yes with boys and girls

Other: n/a

~~~~
Now let's see what y'all come up with!
Elena says mecx.  Something about not liking mechanical things?
HEY  EVERYONE
This RP will begin probably around midnight today!  Just because that's the time I'm awake and no one will bother me.
*sighs* An hour late, but here nonetheless!
~Becka
I'm swimming in darkness, static surrounding me as I come to my senses.
I open my eyes, looking up into a light that makes me lift my hand to cover my eyes.  There's something odd about my arm though, and I sit up to get a better look.  I move my left arm, it doesn't seem any different than my right arm, aside from the appearance.  My arm is silver in color, segmented into an upper arm, forearm, a palm piece with a glowing blue center, and segmented fingers.  I tap the light with my right nail, and hear the quick tink, tink, tink sounds of my nail hitting glass.
It's then that I realize my surroundings.  I'm wearing a papery white gown with pinprick blue dots all over it.  I look around, and see that I'm sitting on a hospital bed surrounded by a bunch of similar beds with similar people on them.  I turn and put my feet on the ground, to realize they're not organic either.
They look more geometric than my left arm, shiny and silvery-blue in color, shining against light that's coming from the ceiling.  The feet don't look connected in any way to the rest of my legs, but they're still connected somehow by blue wires of light keeping them at bay.  I stand up unsteadily on my metal legs, and hear a faint whirring sound as I stand.
I look to my left and right, and see a door at each end of the hallway.  I walk to one of them, passing the beds in a row against the wall.  When I reach the door, I reach out for the handle and try to open it.  Not much to my surprise, it's locked.  I turn to see the other people beginning to wake.
~Aubereine
I wander around HQ, the only sound my raspy breathing and the slight whisper of the ragged hospital gown on my pale legs and torso. I shunt myself along, walking stiffly and slightly unevenly, and let my mind wander to whatever it wants to. I think now of the first time the scientists forgot to feed me. I was panicked, thinking they were going to starve me, thinking that they'd finally had their fill of pumping me full of chemicals and messing with my organs and body until I barely recognized myself. But they hadn't-- they'd just found newer, more exciting toys to play with. They came back in a few days, fed me my daily ration, and we settled together back into our lives-- them, experimenting on whomever was unlucky enough to be captured; and me, spending my days in a tiny room with a single bed and bindings to keep me down. All too soon, they forgot about me again, leaving me on my own for days on end before returning. I grew to like these periods, where I could think what I wanted, live my own thoughts and dream my own dreams, and not whatever nightmares the latest and greatest chemical inflicted.
These periods also had another unintended consequence.
I became skinny enough, small enough, that my hands and feet could slip through the bindings they put me in to keep me down. I was free-- if I could get out of the room. I slipped a key from a scientist the next time they came around and let myself out under the cover of darkness. I had even found the exit.
But I had paused.
The door was huge and better fortified than my own room's. It locked with a huge combination lock that I couldn't even begin to comprehend. And I hadn't been outside HQ in... a long time. So long.
I had slipped back to my room that night, putting my hands and feet back in the bindings and waiting quietly for the scientists to return for my morning ration.
I had waited through the afternoon, too, and all the way until darkness fell once more-- what constituted for nighttime in HQ.
Then I had slipped out and started to wander the halls, trailing my human arm and hand along the cold walls.
I continued to do that nightly until I knew HQ inside and out-- better than I knew myself, now.
And that was what I was doing now. Wandering. Thinking. Until a sound broke me out of my reverie.
A small sound-- but my ears knew the sounds of HQ, and this one was different.
Human.
Not male, like the scientists. But female. Confused. Scared.
Another experiment?
I crept towrds the sound, ending up by the containment area. I'd never been quite sure what this room was for-- it was big and empty and had stange fabric-covered items in it.
But as I poked my head through the doorway, I sucked in a raspy breath, making my chest hurt as my metal lungs expanded.
The fabric had been taken off the items. They were beds. Dozens of them.
And on each of them laid a figure. An experiment. Humans implanted with metal and bionic parts. I saw legs, and arms, and even a pair of wings like mine, but these seemed workable, not the heavy worthless things that mine were.
A girl, a little younger than me, turns around from where she had been trying to tug open the door at the other end of the room. Her eyes widen in fright as she spots me.
~Starseeker (sorry for the long post-- I wanted to set it up a little bit as well as out my charrie in the correct situation. Lucy, does this work for you? How my charrie wanders around the compund and all that? I can certainly change it if it doesn't work. :) )
I like it, actually!  I think that it's pretty cool how she was wandering and just found the room Becka and the rest of the charries are in.  My plan for all of the charries is that they would have varying lengths of memory depending on the kind of "enhancements" they have.  Like, since Becka has parts of her face implanted and they will seem to be kind of new to her, she would remember a lot less of the compound than Aubereine because the face implants are most likely the newest and having metal implanted onto her face might mess with her head a little.
So I think it's fine that Aubereine is wandering.
Forgot to say he has glasses, oops! (he still needs them for his right eye but he hasn't figured out that he has a robotic eye yet.)
~~~

I open my eyes to a blinding light and a slight pain in my right arm, when I look around for my glasses I see an IV sticking out of my arm. Careful not to move it I use my left arm which feels abnoemally numb to reach around for my glasses. When I find my them and put them on I realize that the reason my arm felt numb is that it is made of metal. I move my metal arm around a bit to see if it works as well as my other arm. I shakily sit up and look around, gently jerking the IV from my arm as I do. I look up and see two girls standing across the room. Immedietly I notice that they both have robotic limbs as well. Then I stand up shakily and put my human hand against the wall for support seeing as I feel like I've been asleep for a few months and I don't exactly trust the fact that that I don't know which parts of me are human anymore. I can feel the floor beneath my bare feet which probably is a good sign.

Probably.

I put my back against the wall and push my glasses up my nose to get a better view of my surroundings. White walls, beds with people, tile floor, a girl with wings standing in the doorway, with another girl but with a metal arm standing by yet another bed. "W-where are w-we?" I manage to stutter before reality sinks in. I don't know where I am. I don't know why I'm here. I'm surrounded by strangers. I used to be human and now I'm not.

~~~
And on that note I can work on other things now. YAAAAAY(I have nothing to do)
Moriel says "ceip" seip? sleep? Yeah I should probably do that considering that I've been running only on caffeneated tea and magic(aka I don't know how I'm still awake, let alone ALIVE right now)
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA help me *Drinking giant mug of tea* *falls asleep in tea* *Tyberious sneaking up behind with an airhorn* *blasts airhorn and runs away cackling as pops head up and says "IM AWAKE no im not" before faceplanting again*- Darkking at 3 a.m.
Thank Temis I diddn't post that last night. Or wasi this morning? Idk I haven't had my giant, bowl sized, mug of tea with an exessive amount of sugar yet herp.
I forgot to mention: Becka's face implants are on the sides of her face from top to bottom, replacing all the skin outside of the inner half of her eyes.  Her face's range of motion is rather limited because of that.
Eliana~
There's a ringing in my ears and my eyes slide open, only to squinch shut again at the sudden bright light. The ringing gradually fades as other sounds come into focus: Human sounds, breathing sounds, and a light tapping. I open my eyes again and roll onto my side, away from the light, to look around. My first impression is white. Everything is blindingly white. The walls, the lights, the tile floors, the beds. I flick the papery blankets aside and sit up on the edge of the bed. I'm wearing some sort of nightgown, white with little gray flecks on it, like ashes. No, they're snowflakes. Obviously snowflakes.
I stand and something about my leg catches the light. On closer inspection I see little pieces of metal smoothly grafted into the skin. I try to touch it, but my arm won't move. What...?  I turn my head to take a look. It's... metal. My entire arm has been replaced with metal. Slightly belatedly, it moves and touches my leg, then drops to the side. I try to lift it. After a shorter pause, it obliges. I make it turn over, move all the fingers, bend and straighten the elbow until it moves immediately when I want.
The other denizens of this room seem to be stirring as well, which is probably good. I'm not alone in this place. I walk to the closest door and try the handle. Locked, naturally. I jiggle the doorknob harder, trying futilely to force the door open. At the other end of the room, a girl seems to be attempting the same excercise while between us the others are standing and examining themselves. Everyone seems to have had some sort of implant or change: I see metal arms like mine, metal legs, even one girl with prosthetic wings implanted into her shoulders. There seem to be about ten of us in all, maybe less.
The girl at the other end of the hall suddenly steps backwards, jigsaw metal legs whirring softly as she moves. "There's... something out there," she says quitely, "Someone. Watching us." Two hands appear on the window set in the top of the door, pressing against the glass. A tall boy with dark hair staggers against the wall next to his bed.
"Where- where are we?" He stares around with large, frightened eyes. No one answers. Appearently no one knows. I stride across the room to the other door. I glance at the girl with metal legs.
"Help me get this open?" I ask. She nods and we both slam our shoulders into the heavy door.
Ailith~
Light.
I feel completely relaxed as my eyes gently open to the overwhelming light around me. I calmly sit up and look around, my eyes adjusting quickly, to find other people around me. Some are awake, some are still fast asleep.
I regulate my heart rate, assessing the situation I’m in. Those who are awake look just as confused as I am feeling, because I suddenly realise that I have no idea where I am or why I’m here.
Getting up, I begin to walk towards the door of the room, ignoring a clinking sound I’m not familiar with and ignoring the eyes of those awake.
Two girls repeatedly slam into the door, obviously in vain, and one of them yells out in frustration before slamming her fist against the door one more time.
“That worked,” she bitterly says.
They continue to discuss their options while I walk towards the wall next to my bed. There’s something...off about it. I stand in front of the crease where two walls supposedly connect, and when I move my hand over it, I feel a slight breeze.
“Wait,” I quietly say.
I look at my left hand, which is metal, but for some reason this doesn’t distract me. Instead I use the hand to firmly push against the wall, and right after, the walls fall down to reveal a huge white room with stair and a balcony high up. The ceiling is taller than anything I’ve ever seen before.
“Whoa,” I hear someone behind me say. “Where are we?”
I turn around and face everyone else, realising everyone is awake by now.
“Maybe we should start with introductions,” the girl with two metal legs says, who’s now made her way next to me. “I’m Becka.”
I nod and then realise the others look towards me expectantly. Suddenly the name comes to my mind without thinking about it.
“My name...Ailith.”
SUBJECT ANALYSIS
SPECIES: HUMAN, CYBERNETICALLY AUGMENTED
GENDER: FEMALE
MOOD: BEWILDERED
I jolt upright. The first thing that comes to my mind is pain. My head, left arm, and my leg hurt like crazy. And what's going on with the "Subject Analysis"? The second thing I'm thinking about is "who's screaming?" And then I realize it's me. And then I realize I'm in a room full of people. And then I realize they're all staring at me. And then I realize who I just analyzed.
"AHHH!" A skinny girl with a mostly-metal face and... wings? is staring at me. She's right up in my face, which is why she jumps back when I scream.
SUBJECT ANALYSIS
SPECIES: HUMAN, CYBERNETICALLY AUGMENTED
GENDER: FEMALE
MOOD: STARTLED
I would be, too, if I were her. I mean, being all cybernetic like that must be really--
Wait.
I look down.
And I now know why my arm and leg hurt like crazy. They're metal.
I turn to my left. There's a table with a mirror on it a couple yards away. I climb out of bed. Then I fall down. Of course I'm falling down, I have a metal leg! I stumble on towards the mirror, dragging the metal leg. When I get close enough, I look into the mirror. I bite my tongue to keep from screaming again. Most of my face is metal, including my left eye. That's the one that analyzed the winged girl, I realize. And my dyed hair, which was short in the first place, is now almost completely gone, probably to make room for my implant. Wires are snaking down my neck and down into the ragged white hospital gown I now realize I'm wearing.
What happened to me?
