Here's a thing

Here's a thing I did for writing. Hopefully the format comes out right:

Bummer

Once upon a time there was a spaceman named Osfrid. In an obscure asteroid belt, which had a few larger asteroids, he was currently stationed in his ship. The point of this endeavor was to scan the area for life forms, and Osfrid had already checked most of the area. However, his efforts were fruitless so far, and he decided to get a bottle of water to amuse himself. Water behaves very oddly in micro-gravity, as it tends to ball up into miniature planets and float around. Unfortunately, Osfrid was rather careless with the water balls, and one hit the controls. Causing a power surge, the stray water blasted the rocket full speed toward a moon of a nearby moon!

Panicked, Osfrid attempted to slow down the ship, to no avail; and at the last minute he leaped out of the ship, expecting it to crash on the surface of the moon. Instead, it ran out of fuel and floated down toward the surface.

“What do I do NOOOOWWWWW?” said Osfrid.

“Fossil fuel detected below surface. Initiating drill,” said Siri.

While the fuel was being extracted, Osfrid decided to have a look around. Unexpectedly, he stumbled upon a large aquamarine three-eyed blob-like alien, who was reading a book.

“Back away, foul alien creature!” exclaimed Osfrid.

“Excuse me,” said the blob, “My name is Leonard, and I am in the middle of this book.”

“I don’t care about your book,” said Osfrid, who was being rather impolite. “Get out of my way. I’m trying to discover life forms.”

Leonard peered over his three-lensed bifocals. “You need to read more.”

“Reading is literally boring,” said Osfrid. “What are you even reading about anyway?”

The complete and total collection-” Leonard began.

“Sounds boring,” said Osfrid.

-of all life, animals, and civilizations in the Obscure asteroid belt. Revised edition.

“I want that book,” said Osfrid.

“Sorry, but no. I’m giving a lecture on it at Bsegour University tomorrow.”

“Well, you’re just a blob,” said Osfrid, who was now being very rude, and he took the book from Leonard and strolled off toward his ship.

“Well, now he is being very rude,” said Leonard, as he moved onto his vehicle and drove off the surface. “Thank goodness I have another copy.”

“Oil drilling complete,” said Siri, and Osfrid left the moon and continued to autopilot his way through the obscure asteroid belt.

Unfortunately, while the ship been sitting around, the water had puddled on the floor and was now in one large water planet; and just like that, Osfrid’s stolen copy of The complete and total collection of all life, animals, and civilizations in the Obscure asteroid belt: Revised edition collided with the water and was ruined forever.

“Bummer,” said Osfrid.
