The world is in the most groovy anarchy you have ever seen. Laws are pretty much out the roof, as most of humanity has left to go explore the rest of the galaxy in their Rad-ships. Also to flee from the monsters that have sprung up across the earth. Neon and Day-Glo are in the air as the last couple stragglers stay on Earth to party until the sun dies. It's the disco apocalypse and humanity is going out with a bang.

I don't know if my descriptions up there made any sense, but basically, imagine a post-apocalyptic world mixed with a cyberpunk disco. Like if the eighties stayed rad at the end of the world. Make sense? Now that I've established the setting, let me establish the plot.

The two biggest factions (Laser Dragon and Chroma) are at war with the monster populating the earth in a constant battle. However, a small team of far-out people has been sent to Antartica to find what appears to be some kind of secret weapon. On the way, they will have most excellent escapades and face outrageous enemies. This team also has a name: Havok's Edge.

Actually i am in. though, i might be a little more modern. and i don't know what the heck a "Bodacious Lingo" is

Personality: Shy, quiet, often seen with fingertip glowing to cast spells
Backstory: She grew up on earth with special powers, she is a immortal witch that studied/exelled at dark magic and is pretty bored and has nothing to do.
Equiptment: Books,Wand (not needed often) explosive voodo teddybear, and spellbook
Favorite color: Midnight Blue
Othe/Abilities: Can Make stuff out of thin air,shadow travel,dissapear,turn into a nightingale teleport others to saftey

Uhhh, yeah, what Rose Bud said. Except I am GW. Also, no I like speaking with my radical wordage, and it fits the theme of the story.
I think your character appears to be incredibly OP, with unrealistic powers that do not fit in my story. The characters in this story are adult humans. If you want to join, I recommend trying to make a character that at least follows realistic qualities. Your charrie's powers just don't make sense in the context of the story of this RP. If you want to make a separate thread for a universe where you can play your overpowering charrie, simply click the green box in the top-left corner that reads "click here to talk to aspiring authors and artists". Thank you, and I hope you understand.
Also, completely unrelated, but can you add to your charrie sheet "Reason for being selected on the journey:" that would just be helpful for me.

Behold, people to Havok's Edge, my character!
Name: Gregory 'Mad Greg' Laurens
Gender: Male
Age: 31
Appearance: He is a shorter man with long light blue hair that falls over one eye in a very emo-band-esque haircut. He looks rather young with narrow dark red eyes that have a kind of witty glint to them. He will be wearing a red vest with an upturned collar over a dark blue long-sleeved button-up shirt. He will also have heavy pants for the cold Antarctic and dark purple boots with black lightning bolt markings on them.
Personality: Fun-loving, loves blasting monsters, maybe a little too much. The look on his face when he goes hunting suggests something of an addiction to the thrill of combat, giving him the nickname ‘Mad Greg’. Despite his many quirks, he seems to be excellent at taking charge of things. However, he’s not great on an intimate level, especially with social communication. One of Greg’s favorite thing is showing off. He is under the impression that the best way to get people to follow you is to do the coolest stuff possible. So far, it seems to work, at least a little bit.
Backstory: He was a prepper- Someone who suspected the impending apocalypse, and prepared for it. This involved building a bunker, and buying massive amounts of beef jerky. Eventually, it paid off, and he was quick to join the Laser Dragon faction when it sprung up, him being one of its original members. He found his calling as one of the Huntrz, a group within the Laser Dragon faction who tracked and slayed monsters to supply meat, neon, and supplies for the various scientists in the faction. This is where he’s been since, hunting and tracking the various creatures that roam the Earth, and doing it rather well.
Equipment: A battery-powered electric sword that needs to be charged periodically called Tempest, binoculars, loads of beef jerky, and a bright red rifle that fires static-charged rounds known as Hurricane.
Reason for Being Selected on the Journey: Laser Dragon took note of his combat skills and leadership knack and decided to send him.
Favorite Word of Bodacious Lingo: Radical!

Other: Is open to shipping a girl charrie if you can figure out how to get them to talk to him.

Wellll, I would like for Rook to be shipped, but she wouldn't voluntarily talk to someone unless she's extremely mad at them, and... well... she's 18 and Greg is 31. If they were less than 10 years apart in age, it could work. We could do a little age tweaking, if you're willing. Or not. Whatever you wanna do. It does sound like some of Greg's quirks would really tick Rook off, which could be quite funny. Almost like Han and Leia except not... ;)
Anyway, here's Rook's backstory and the extra thingy you wanted.
Backstory: To be brief, Rook's parents died in an explosion when she was about 6. Her dad was one of the lead scientists in the Chroma faction and her mother was one of the Huntrz for the Laser Dragon faction. A couple people in Chroma were willing to take care of her, but she didn't cope well with the people who had been her parents' friends because they reminded her of the day they died all the time, so basically she ran away and was fending for herself until she got pulled in to a small group of interlopers who very creatively called themselves "The Interlopers". The stuff they did was a bit shady at times, and when Rook was starting to feel threatened by a couple members of the group, she left and did various things as almost a mercenary of sorts. A few agents in Chroma found out about her and her fighting skills and whatever, and started trying to recruit her. Eventually, she gave in and agreed to be part of Havok's Edge.
Reason for Being Selected on the Journey: She is adept at fighting and stealth, a sharpshooter, very smart, and a brilliant hacker.

Name: Chaotica Jones
Gender: Female
Age: 37
Appearence: Her hair is an electric pink fab perm that floats etherally over her shoulders. She wears bright colored suits in various shades with shoulders pads bigger than the former Soviet Union. She has a large nose, small inset green eyes, and full lips usually painted bright purple. She's very tall, and full bodied, and is starting to wrinkle, just a little, around the eyes. She wears far too much eyeshadow in strangely bright colors, and her go to shoe choice is a pair of lilac pumps.
Personality: Confidence is her defining character trait. She believes herself able to take anything the world throws at her, and thinks she is talented enough to do anything she wants to. She's very intuitive, and good at reading people, but isn't particularly good at anything else. She makes her living convincing other people she's the right person for the job, whatever that might be. She can scheme her way into anything from a high level goverment position to an exclusive party with nothing but her wits, several layers of makeup, and her practical purple pumps. She doesn't make real connections with people easily, and has few close friends, but many acquaintances. She's bad at realizing when to quit which has lead to quite a few sticky situations. She's almost a pathological liar. It comes as easy to her as breathing, and sometimes she forgets where the truth really lies. She may not be a hero in the proper sense of the word, but she hates the idea of anyone getting hurt, and is always up for a little fame and glory. She loves the life she lives, but there's a part of her that wonders if she starting to get to old for it. She likes to help those much younger than herself get ahead, as she sees a bit of herself in them. She insists that she is out for herself and no one else, no matter what her actions might say.
Backstory: She grew up in a nice normal family, which she absolutely hated. Her real name was Susan Smith. She ran away from home when she was 17, changed her name, and got a job working at a waitress to the rich and famous. Chaotica started making connections, and kept her ear to the ground. She eventually had to quit her job after she started scamming customer into buying her extra strength hair spray, which was really just an aerosal can full of air. Chaotica skipped town, and made her way to one of the larger cities, where she lived, moving from job to job and scam to scam. She had a bit of an idea the apocalypse was coming, and tried to convince a few of her "friends" to take her with them on their Rad ships. It seems she had outstayed her welcome, and they all refused. Instead of preparing herself, when the apocalypse hit she convinced a few low level Lasor Dragon members to help her after telling them her tale of woe, sorrow, and betrayal. (She actually did feel betrayed after her partner in crime of the last three years left earth and neglected to take her with him.)
Equipment: She actually had been trying to develop her own hair spray, but gave up after every formula she tried was extremely acidic. She carries two cans of the spray which gives anyone who comes in contact with it third degree burns. She also carries a swiss army knife, her purple lipstick, a small supply of protein bars, and her top secret notebook.

Did you read the paragraph I wrote to you? I detailed how to start a thread there.
What do you mean by "more modern"? As long as you create a new charrie that fits the theme of the thread (so no magic powers), it should be fine, but I'm curious as to what that means.
