There's this one character in a story I'm writing and I simply cannot figure out a name for her. She's about 15, African-American, and lives in San Francisco. The timeline is ambiguous, somewhere in the near future.
The other main characters are Jodie (her best friend), Linh An AKA Lara (Jodie's cousin), and Thuan Tu AKA Ethan (Jodie and Linh's pretentious schoolmate).
I'm thinking maybe Lena or Dara, but I'm not sure, and I don't want to use either of those because I know people with those names. Something distinctly American and modern. Hm... I also liked Sadie but it's too similar to Jodie.
Does anyone have any suggestions else or need name help? I usually like coming up with names but this one is driving me cazy for some reason.

Maybe Sara spelled with no h? Similar to Dara. Or Dasha, except that's not so American.... Hailey maybe? Or Elsie?
