NEW SUPERPOWERS ROLEPLAY
well, i would have just joined another rp but they arent as active as i like.
so im starting my own.
hopefully.
i'm not the best rp starter, so i could use a hand.
This rp is for characters with superpowers. you can be a hero or a villain or neutral or whatever, as long as you follow a few rules.
1. your super must be a human, or humanoid at least, even if it can shapeshift, which is fine.
2. your super can have virtually any powers, within reason. for example, though your super may be impervious to bullets, or fire, it cannot be invincible. it must have a weakness.
3. you must create a bio, or description, of your character.
4. your bio must include the following: name, secret identity(optional), age, gender, appearance, personality, power(s), strengths, weaknesses, background(optional), and anything else you want to add.
MY CHARACTER:
name: Hailee
secret identity: Shadow Runner
age: 17 years
gender: girl
appearance: she always wears a black bodysuit, black gloves with needle-sharp claws poking through, boots, a black ninja-type mask, and a thin semi-transparent piece of fabric covering her eyes. thus, when you look at her, she is all black. underneath, her skin is covered in aqua-blue scales, her eyes are vivid icy blue, and she has sharp fangs. she painted her claws black to match her suit. these characteristics make her seem more reptile than human, but she wasnt always this way.
personality: meet her
powers: can shapeshift into any reptile, including the mythical ones. if she bites someone, her fangs deliver venom. she can dissolve into shadow.
strengths: shadow form is more difficult to defeat.
weaknesses: venom does not kill, only makes the victim weak and nauseas for a few moments, enough for her to escape. shadow form does not work in sunlight.
background: when she was twelve, she was bittin by a radioactive cobra, recieving her powers, and soon after was taken to a lab and experimented on, the results being her appearance, and amnesia.

After I finish eating, I go upstairs.
I lay on my bed, but I can't sleep. I toss and turn several times before finally giving up.
I stand up and sit out on the roof. Guess I'll keep watch.
For several hours I stay awake, but eventually my tiredness finally catches up. I fall asleep out on the roof, despite the dropping temperatures.

Okay, skipping to morning to keep the plot going.

I wake up to feel warm roof shingles. Rubbing my eyes, I sit up and realize I must have fallen asleep out here. I suppose that's what I get for trying to stay awake so late.
I carefully slip in through the window. The alarm clock says '8:00 AM.' I bet the others are already awake.
I walk down the stairs. My side, the one that was injured, is hurting, but I grit my teeth and continue down the stairs anyways.
"Good morning," Jeremy remarks. He looks like he's been awake for a little bit now.
"Mm," I reply, and grab a container of orange juice from the fridge.
"Not a morning person, I see," Night Sniper comments .
I ignore her and drink the meager remains of the orange juice, straight from the container. I toss it into a cardboard box that serves as my recycling bin.
Eventually, the others start making something for breakfast. I open my laptop and read some articles that have been posted about the alleyway incident last night. One in particular catches my eye.
"Several Well-Known Supers Spotted at Fire: Perhaps They Were The Cause," the title reads. It's by some young reporter named Alette Jackson.*
I click on the article. "Hey, come look at this."

Hmm, I don't know about another character. I mean, I dont really mind it... but there seem to be quite a lot of characters already... but otherwise I'd be fine with it! And sorry about not posting- I've been quite busy. I wont let it die!

Hmm. I'm not sure how many of the characters have authors though.

Name: Alette Jackson
Secret Identity: Truthseeker
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Appearance: Short, chestnut hair usually in a messy bun. Her skin is a warm, olive color, maybe copper. Her eyes are a warm hazel. Typically, she wears a denim jacket with the sleeves rolled up, a dark blue t-shirt, and baggy jeans and sneakers. Her supersuit is light blue, it features a piece of cloth over her mouth and silver gauntlets and boots.
Personality: Bold and outgoing. She's determined to figure out everything that's going on in the city. A go-getter who won't let anything stand in her way. She's a bit dramatic sometimes and can't help but enjoy the chaos uncovering the truth will bring. She tends to jump to conclusions and make bad decisions.
Powers: She's a psychometric, meaning she can gain information from objefts. For her, it only works with non-living objects. Whenever she touches them, she can view important things that took place around or because of the object, and she can also figure out who owned it. She can also summon weak blasts of pyschic energy, which are blue in color.
Strengths: Determined, her abilities are useful in figuring out what's going on.
Weaknesses: Bad at using her powers, her energy blasts are very weak.
Background: Alette Jackson was always a very intelligent girl interested in all the latest gossip. When she was very young, she was in a fatal car accident. Somehow, she survived, but her parents weren't so lucky. When she was in a coma in the hospital, someone (read: Slayer, probably) snuck in and gave her a strange serum. While it caused her to wake up, it also have her strange abilities. She then moved in with her great-aunt. Now, though, she's gone to college for journalism, and runs her own website called "The Chatter", where she posts articles about the latest gossip in the city. While she has a supersuit, she rarely uses it, and mostly just uses her powers for herself.
