Chatterbox: Inkwell

The wall was

The wall was covered in posters.

Most had once been colorful, but were now faded with time, giving them an odd, antique charm that drew one's eye to them. Yes; the wall was covered in them.

But today, another poster had been added.

It was an off-white color, with vine designs creeping around its every corner. The words on it had been printed over a simple tree design, it being bare and without a leaf, but held a single, blooming flower on a branch.

The poster read:

PREPARE YOURSELVES!

The event of the year, the summer Writing Tournament, is soon to come! Order your tickets now--or whenever you can! Perhaps you'll want to even partake in this event--indeed, if you are brave enough!

Yes, be brave, Chatterboxers, and await further news!

Oh, cool! I'd love to participate... unless this is during July, in which case I can't.

I’d love to participate, but my summer is packed and I set a goal to finish my novel by September back when it was spring and September felt far away and I thought Summer meant free time. So I’ll probably be reduced to spectating.

I’ll see about participating once I know more about this tournament, but until then, one ticket please!
