When you open

Chatterbox: Inkwell

When you open

When you open the mailbox this morning, you expect to see the same old things: the daily newspaper, maybe that cool-looking magazine you ordered a month ago and still hasn't come. But this time, you find something else: A letter.

Your hands, gloved due to the cold, break the wax seal and pry open the latter shakily. Inside is a message:

Hello freind,

I need your help. Something has been lost, and I need the help of you and five others to restore it.  You need not worry about missing work, for I have that covered and, if you succeed, you will gain a great fortune. All will make sense in due time, unless you are one to beleive that nothing ever truly makes sense., in whcih case you are quite wise.

Come to the grove by tomorow morning, and we will begin. How to get there? You go to a nearby place that is special to you. Perhaps it is your parent's house. Perhaps it is the grocery store. There will be a portal that takes you to The Grove. You may bring one thing other than yourself and the clothes you are wearing. This could be an apple to a violin who's music makes people sleepy to a fold-up chair, although you may find the latter difficult to carry.

All the best,

The Grove Keeper.

You come back inside, forgetting about everything else that had been in the mailbox. You ponder whether you should go or not for the next hour then decide, what do you have to lose? This seems much more interesting than your current boring life.

When you go to the "special place," however, you are asked to fill out a form:

Name:

Pronouns:

Personality:

Strengths (i.e. creative, strong):

Weaknesses (i.e. reckless, socially inept):

Other atributes (nuetral ones, such as risk-averse):

What you will bring:

And, one more question.

Are salads better with or without avacado?:

Note: No, this is not in fact a ski lodge. This is an adventure that I will guide you through, comprised of  riddles and challenges which you and five others must solve together. No AEs, CAPTCHAS, or charries aloud, only CBers. You will be expected to participate in each riddle/challenge. Once six have filled out the form, I will begin, keeping your strengths, weaknesses, and personalityin mind.

Ooh fun!

Name: Honeybee

Pronouns: she/her

Personality: creative, kind, funny, shy around new people, gets irritated easily...but only shows it around people she is comfortable with.

Strengths (i.e. creative, strong): creative, smart, good at drawing, reading and writing if that's needed. An ok leader.

Weaknesses (i.e. reckless, socially inept): can be shy, always hungry, not very strong or flexible, wants to be the boss and at the same time wants to let everyone else make the decisions. Likes chocolate cake too much.

Other atributes (nuetral ones, such as risk-averse): other attributes? Um, I don't know. I like to organize.

What you will bring: Oh, either an e-reader or some tea. It's a hard decision...but I think an e-reader because I don't want to have to go without books for too long. And it would be too hard to just pick one!

And, one more question.

Are salads better with or without avacado? What a hard question! I really like avocado, but I know it's not very good for the environment. And then, I also don't really like salad. I especially don't like it with dressing. If it's a choice of salads, I'd want some lettuce and bell peppers. You know, dressing just messes the avocado up. I'd say without.

This looks so interesting!

Actually, I think I say that at the start of every ski lodge/not ski lodge. I need to find a new word. But honestly, this looks so unique and creative!

Name: PygmyOwl

Pronouns: She/her/hers

Personality: Quiet or wild by turns, but a complete introvert. Lover of books, riddles, mysteries, and carbohydrates except not breadcrumbs.

Strengths (i.e. creative, strong): Genius (not actually, although that's what I tell myself. I'm decently clever, and a pretty good writer.)

Weaknesses (i.e. reckless, socially inept): Yes. Socially inept sums it up pretty well.

Other atributes (nuetral ones, such as risk-averse): Vegetarian/vegan/something in between?

What you will bring: Books. Obviously.

And, one more question.

Are salads better with or without avacado?: Without, please. The texture of avacados does not work in my mouth.

You've piqued my curiosity, Grove Keeper. Lettuce begin.

Name: Chinchilla or The Artful Mongoose or That Weird Lilttle Mammal That Cackles Quietly To Herself In The Corner, Oh The Way She Sits There Every Night Gives Me The Willies, If You Ask Me Someone Should Really Deal With The Infestation Of Small Furry Animals With Oddly Threatening Laughs We Have Here

Pronouns: She/Her

Personality: Fairly level-headed but has a spontaneus streak that often leads to things that I definitely intended to happen, no need to applaud, now could someone get me off this roof please I may have forgotten a ladder. Has an odd sense of humor. (Example: If I'm ranting about how much I hate someone to a friend and then turn around to see the aforementione hateful person behind me and realize that they were there the entire time I was ranting, I will laugh and laugh) Can be a little weird, sometimes, just for fun. If bored may spontaneusly groove in place. Occasionally says something stupid or hurtful because "It just worked, you know? With the scene? The thing we had going - wait, no, don't cry please, I never meant to insult your horrible little dog"

Strengths (i.e. creative, strong): Pretty good at thinking on her feet, easy to get along with (haha sure you can pull the trigger but maybe don't point it in my direction thanks) and easily tunes in to other people's wavelengths. Definitely physically fit.

Weaknesses (i.e. reckless, socially inept): Mild social anxiety (eeeeee they didn't say yes does that mean I shouldn't do it should I ask for clarification or you know what let's just keep doing whatever I'm doing), usually responds to being afraid by being angry, sometimes talks over others.

Other atributes (nuetral ones, such as risk-averse): If I think it's life or death, I will be very definitely averse to the idea of risk, but if not, allons-y! Yeah I want to ride on that dinosaur!

What you will bring: A collapsible shield. Black metal, branded with the outline of a white crow's head in the center. I can use it like a normal shield, throw it, hit people over the head with it, collapse it and probably use it as a platter for food!

And, one more question.

Are salads better with or without avacado?: Depends on the salad. If, for instance, the salad in question is fruit salad, then the answer is a very firm and rather offended no. How dare you, that is disgusting, the avacado would in no way add to the intended point of fruit salad (which is to deliver a light, sweet taste and let you eat strawberries before dessert). Avacados are neither light nor sweet, and they would ruin it. Any other salad? Depends on the desired flavour.

It looks like six CBers have reserved spots or made sheets so far, so no more sheets may be made unless you have reserved a spot. I'm sorry if you wanted to join but can't, I know that's not very many, but I want there to be a reasonable amount of people here.

If you're wondering what I am doing and what you are doing, I will be telling you what happens when you do things and do most of the role-playing. I will be providing you with clues and hints, and I will attempt to have you act how you would act. You will do most of the major decision-making, and, whenever there is a riddle to be solves I will wait until you figure it out. If you would like to do something particularly out of the ordinary/what would be expected, i.e. go somewhere even though a clue is telling you to go elsewhere, you will tell me this.

First of all, TOP.

It appears that Agent Winter and Sterling aren't filling out the forms, at least not yet. I want to begin now. They can fill out their forms later and join in the middle. I hope that if you filled out the form you will be active on this thread. I will be starting soon.

Sincerely,
