SUPERHEROES ROLEPLAY! oka

SUPERHEROES ROLEPLAY! oka

SUPERHEROES ROLEPLAY! okay, as the title obviously states, this is a roleplay about superheroes, sidekicks, and villains. But the rule is you can not have more than THREE powers.

name:  The Snow Queen

secret identidy: Isabel Moore

power: able to freeze things at her very touch. can survive extreme cold, and can fly for long periods of time without rest.

weakness: fire

sidekick: none.

age: 19

An intense battle swirled around me, and so did the autumn leaves. I did all I could, but I was tired. My arms must've weighed hundreds of thousands of pounds as I tried to lift them up. My breaths were short and shallow, visible as the temperature of the air around me dropped to below freezing. And then a heard it, a cruel laugh above the chaos the escaped prisoners were stirring. Knowing what was coming, I whirrled around to face my arch enemy.

Does anyone want to be my nemesis?

((But OF COURSE I do. ;) Also, I have nothing better to do.))

SI: Arielle d'Luke

Name: oh I dunno... I'm bad at this. :P

[[Ooh! IWtGTB just came on!]]

That, of course, is a sign from above that the name will be the Sea Witch. I mean, *obviously*.

Power: Water manipulation... PJatO-esque stuff but more interesting, because Percy's were not... Also *is plagiarist*, she gets said power from magic shell. Can you tell I'm really, really uncreative today?

Weakness: not per se, but sans the magic shell is really nothing.

Sidekick: *really, really wants to write 'eels'* Flot and Jet. Two younger boys who show potential to be supervillains.

Age: er... thirties, forties?

((It'd be early forties or so, I believe, if you're going off of the admittedly wonderful SRS...))

Anyone want to be Bookby and Pikespear's enemy?

A giant monster attacked, and destroyed buildings.

It never noticed the small form floating towards it, holding a book.

Bookby lifted her book and concentrated on it. She felt her power surging into the book. She yelled out a few words, and out of the book sprang a dragon. it flew towards the monster, flames spurting from it's mouth.

Pikespear slashed at the monster, cutting it's side. The monster screeched in pain.

Flames exploded towards the enemy as Bookby attacked. The monster fell over, defeated.

Bookby and Pikespear looked at each other.

And the siblings smiled.

I is villain! ...I'll steal/revamp the villain from my 2008 NaNo.

Villain Name: Dark Eyes

"Real" Name: Mathias James Winters; "MJW" to his flunkies and "Winters" to his closest leuitenant

Powers: He's a pyromaniac. He starts fires with his brain, or sometimes gasoline if he's feeling explosive. Obviously he's extremely resistant to fire.

Weaknesses: Well, ice and water, rather obviously. He's not much for rainstorms.

Sidekick: Well, Bartholomew I suppose, who I'll detail in a minute.

Flunkies: A troupe of six assassins, specializing in everything from poison to electrocution to bombs.

Age: I believe he's 36?

Background: Mathias James Winters was a fireman who went bad. He became an arsonist, setting fire to building after building in downtown Chicago. Eventually the police were so close on his trail that he had to quit the arsonist trade and become the ringleader of a group of seven assassins, including his former love interest, Bartholomew (alias Bart, formerly Catherine Delaney). He terrorized Chicago for a while from the shadows, until he kidnapped his "orphaned" son Toby and Toby's friend Morwenna (and her crap laptop). Then the NaNo sort of petered out into nothingness and I randomly decided (for purposes of the RP) that MJW moved on to bigger and better things as a super-villain. What happened to Toby? I haven't the slightest. Maybe Vlad the Vampire Pumpkin ate him.

Villain Name: None.

"Real" Name: Bartholomew, alias Bart, formerly Catherine Delaney. Why does she call herself Bartholomew? I haven't the faintest idea, maybe you should ask her.

Powers: None to speak of, but she's a knives/sharp, pointy objects expert/professional assassin.

Weaknesses: The normal human ones...?

Sidekick: She's one of these, in a way.

Age: Thirties.

Background: Dropped her last name and started calling herself Bartholomew after accidentally killing her aunt (her legal guardian as her parents were dead) with a pair of scissors in the 10th grade. Since then she's been a professional assassin specializing in sharp objects with an emphasis on knives (though she does have this battle-ax which she's rather fond of...). As an alter-ego she became a highly successful stockbroker as well. She met MJW while he was still a fireman and they dated for a time before growing apart. Later she became part of his troupe of assassins and assisted with the capture of her son, Toby, and Morwenna (and her computer). What happened directly following this incident is rather unclear (Chaos is a dreadfully unreliable narrator), but eventually she and MJW got into the super-villain business. And here they are.

And yes, I do have a bit of a fetish for naming female characters male names (Bartholomew, Nick...) and vice versa. I blame Jayne Cobb from Firefly for this.

Slowly Catarson is sneaking up behind his arch nemisis, the Snow Queen.

"Is the target in sight?" asked TigerEye through a tiny earplug.

"Yes."  Then just as soon as Catarson had said that, he let out a horrific screech and grabbed the Snow Queen.

((I'll be everyone else's nemesis. I'll be the evil that you have to band together to fight. And yes, I'm about to partially rip off Star Trek.))

Name: Hive King

Power: Can turn people into a zombie type thing, controlled by him. (Like the Borg in Star Trek, without any technology nessesary) Any living person he touches becomes one of his zombies. Wants to turn the entire planet into an enormous hive. Anybody the zombies touch are also hived.

Weakness: Any zombie that is fed will die. Anybody hived by a zombie will go back to normal.

Hive King marched his armies forward. He had a few hundred, but after hiving the superheroes, squabling among themselves, he would have more power than ever before.

((He's about to attack TNO's person.))

((...You're going to turn this into one of those, "Oh cake, we're all going to die! Let's put aside our huge differences and destroy the Greater Evil, and then immediately go back to shooting at each other!" scenarios, aren't you?

...Ah, well.

Also, I apologize in advance for the probably inevitable unexplained references to the NaNo of DOOM.))

//Bartholomew//

A ding and a heavy thump from the direction of the elevator signaled the arrival of a large, round, and very orange visitor.

"Vlad," Bartholomew said quietly. "Afternoon."

"There are zombies," said the vampire pumpkin in response, "in the streets."

"Are there?" The assassin turned around to gaze at the enormous, sentient plant, her eyebrow raised in very slight curiosity.

Vlad pouted as much as was possible given the restrictions of his rigid cell walls. "You're not very enthusiastic, Bart. I just told you that the dead walk the earth."

Bartholomew sighed. "You're a vampire, are you not, Vlad? The undead is nothing new to me. I mean, come on, last year I helped the physical embodiment of Chaos take over a parallel universe. I'm used to the supernatural."

"Fate wouldn't be happy to hear that," Vlad muttered sulkily, rustling his leaves.

"Fate's not here," Bartholomew replied reasonably, "So it's a moot point, yes? But back to these zombies. Are they hostile?"

"It would appear so," Vlad mumbled. "And they seem to be headed this way."

Bartholomew sighed again. "I suppose we'll just have to kill them then, eh? You wouldn't happen to have a flamethrower, would you?"

"Aaah!" the Snow Queen shouts, but before she can activate her powers she is bound and taken to her villians lair.

"Tigereye." she growls. "Release me now or face my wrath."

Tigereye arches his unibrow. (sorry, I just had to say he has one, but he doesn't have to.) Embarassed Catarson is grinnning menichally. "Oh, wipe that grin off your face." I snap, blowing a freezing zephyr of northern wind into his face. Unfortunately, it is not cold enough to freeze him completely, so all he does is shiver.

Tigereye sneers. "Don't try anything, girlie, or you'll be in deep trouble. You are already in way over your head."

"I've escaped you before, haven't I?" she whispers back. "I have the scar to prove it."

and sure enough, beneath her eye, there is a half moon scar that has long faded, a mark of battle from long ago.

"ah, that is where you're wrong. You won't escape us this time."

the Snow Queen just sadly shakes her head. Tigereye and Catarson are truly evil, but they are also dreadfully annoying.

(I like it except for the unibrow)

Then TigerEye said, "Catarson, watch her.  If she gets away," He smilled cruely and stuck a claw under Catarson's neck, "You will take her place."

Then he left and Catsrson stood by the Snow Queen, obviously nervous, and watched her like a cat watches a mouse with his cat-like eyes.

"Tell me everything," said the Snow Queen.

"You think I'm that stupid?  Well you've got another thing coming for you."  he replied harshly.

Catarson took out his dagger, obviously wanting to kill the Snow Queen for he was extremely tempermental.

"If you say anything more I'll slit your throat," he said putting the blade to her throat.

"You wouldn't dare," the Snow Queen said, "I heard what your leader said."

"So what?  He would never kill his best man, and you will adress him as TigerEye," he said pushing on the blade harder.

"Who's here to hear me besides you?  And your leader would kill you gladly if you hurt me!" the Snow Queen said.

((No, it'll be more like I'll come upon arch enemies, they'll stop trying to kill each other to fight me, and if they escape, they'll continue trying to kill each other. And, my zombies don't look like classic zombies. They look like normal people, just they walk slowly, and ignore you until you are a threat. They also have no expression on their faces.))

Hive King kept marching my forces toward Dark Eyes. He saw, through the collective eyes of his "zombies", a person come out with a flame thrower. His forces parted, to allow the flames to pass without killing. They approached the person, about to hive him.
