Hello!I woul

Hello!

I would like to put together a story with some of you, and we can make it completely made up.  I haven't written any part of it yet so we will start completely brand new.  You can design your own character too!

Name:

Age

Topic (what talents they have; writing, art, photography, ETC):

Story of their life (we will get to this later but in this topic you can write some pretty important things that happened in thier life and their personality):

I hope we can work together and make this a terrific story!  The more the merrier!

Thanks!

Yours Truly,

Oaklynn S.

I'm already in another RP and I just joined CB so I don't want to overload myself, but this sounds so cool I really want to join!! :)

SO. Here is everything:

Name: Melody (she/her)

Age: 14

Topic (what talents they have; writing, art, photography, ETC):

She is a good artist. She can't have very many hobbies because of what I'm about to talk about next!!!!!!

Story of their life (we will get to this later but in this topic you can write some pretty important things that happened in thier life and their personality): So basically her family is very poor, and she has two siblings. Her siblings are named Rosalie (Rosie), 6 years old, and Logan, 8 years old. Her mom is named Ashley and they're very hard up. They are in poverty, and feeding and housing is hard. Melody is made fun of in school, such as for her dirty clothes and not being able to afford basic school supplies like pencils/backpacks/etc. They are currently living in their mom's car. things are really bad.

If I had to give some words that describe her:

fun loving; caring; empathetic; artistic; creative; grateful (although it can be hard to be grateful when you have so little); friendly; encouraging; a good sister.

What do you think, @Oaklynn S? Any critiques? Something you want to change?

RAINBOW, that is terrific!  I can see that you probably enjoy writing stories.  Even if you don't, from what I've seen your a great writer!  I always love when characters have some flaws and/or are different from other people.  This is going to be an interesting story!

Next Step:

Thank you if you have already created your character.  Here is the next step:

Story of their life (for real this time!!!):

Instructions:

In this part about your character, you will be telling about the story of your character's life.  This will play a huge part of the story and will probably take up a few chapters.  After you type it in the comments, I will break it up and put it in a brand new topic.  I can post other chapters/parts of the story everyday and that is how you will know what is next.  The personality part is just if I need to change anything in this part and the rest of the story.

Have fun and thanks for participating!

Name: Spirit Snow

Age: 15.

Topic (what talents they have; writing, art, photography, ETC): They're fairly good at art, but love photography. They're also pretty good at science, but somehow terrible at math.

Story of their life (we will get to this later but in this topic you can write some pretty important things that happened in thier life and their personality): They were raised by wolves, in the woods, since their parents abandoned them. They grew up not trusting anyone, using natural resources, and all of that. Then, they met their first human, who was amazed by their skills at survival and invited them to an university. Spirit politely declined, wanting to stay in the woods.

Is this even moderatly ok? It's terrible, i know.

Night.

Actually its not even half bad, Nightfall, its better!  We're going to have a couple different characters starting out but I'm thinking that we can all make them come together (near the end of the story).  I like twists in characters and it looks like Spirit has some, I also think maybe we can add something like magic to her that she discovers or that she has but doesn't know it. Maybe even there is magic but only she knows but its not hers! Tell me what you think of the idea since technically it is your character.

Thanks!

Oh, wow, thanks!

YES MAGIC! Magic! I think it could come from the protection of the wolves...maybe an amulet? I don't know, I don't want her to sound too powerful. So, um, yeah, something that can be removed.

Ssuuuuupppppeeerrr excited for this!!

Here we go, Melody's life story:

"We're going." My mom says it like its normal. Like it's obvious that we're "going." Except its not. Where are we going? Why? I have no idea. But my mom, Ashley, always knows what she wants. And when she wants it, she gets it. "Go pick up Rosie from preschool," she tells me.

Rosie is my sister. She's six years old, but my mom can't afford for her to go to real school, so she's just at a daycare in somebody's home. It's also about a trillion hour walk to get to the daycare. And I'm supposed to do it? "Why can't you drive there to pick her up?" I ask her. Except I know the answer. It's because we can't afford gas.

"You know why. Plus, we have to leave right now. Melody, I think you're old enough to hear this. So I'm going to tell you straight up. We got kicked out of our apartment." She says the last part, the most important part, in a whisper, because my Logan is in the room over, and apparently he's too young to hear it.

We've been kicked out of our apartment twice before. The first time, mom had a boyfriend, named Jason, and we stayed at his parents house for eight months until we could afford out own place again. The second time, government money came in and helped us pay for our house.

But I don't know if that's going to happen this time. I'm fourteen years old, and I should be able to handle the news, but I start crying. "Mom," is the only word I manage to get out of my voice.

Logan is my brother, and he's eight years old. He comes in and says, "Why is Melody crying?"

My mom doesn't answer to his question. She replies instead, "Pack your things, Logan. We're going to go." She says that like he has things to pack. He has a blanket, a toothbrush, two shirts, and one pair of pants. There's not much to pack. "And, Melody honey," she adds, "Please go get your sister Rosie. Meet me and Logan at the Food Bank in an hour."

I try to stop crying because I don't want Logan to keep asking questions. I just take the one thing I own with me: a little piece of paper that has my Auntie's phone number on it. I can always trust her to talk to. I love my mom, but she's not the same as Auntie Mia.

...

The walk to get to Rosie's daycare feels like it takes years, although it only takes fourty five minutes. That seems like a lot, to some people. But it's nothing compared to what I've had to do. But when I finally arrive and pick up Rosie, I wonder what to say to her.

I don't think it's right to hide it from her that we're poor, and we just lost our home. But when I look into Rosie's sweet, happy little blue eyes, I don't think I could tell her the truth.

I can barely wrap my own head around the truth.

...

Soooo that's the start to her life story!! I'll write more later :)

Awesome!  And that being the first part it was pretty long!  I love that there are thoughts, and dialogue.  This is terrific!  I've done stuff like this with my classmates before, and it is not what I would call bad but not at all what you've done there.  I love it!  I think Melody will be a lovable, noble character but I can't wait to see what twists you will make to her and her life!
