So, I saw

So, I saw that thread that BellaTrix made for Kendra & Meadow to write a story and/or poem together, and it sounded like a way to pass time. Anyone wanna do one? :D

:) Maybe we could take turns writing it? Anyway, I s'pose I'd vote towards writing a story, since that's what I'm probabaly the best at, but a peom would be fun, too. What do you guys think? And then there's the subject.... science fiction would be fun, don't you think?

Yeah, a story would definetly be better.

Science fiction or fantasy would be good. I don't mean to be rude, but are you really 42?

:) No, in a book called the Hitchhicker's Guide To The Galaxy, 42 is the answer to the world. I can't really explain it, but no, I am 12. :D

Let's do science fiction. What should it be about? Give me a brief idea. Do you mind if I start or do you want to?

Just to clear things up, that was part of TAPM, a thing I made. Bellatrix took over because I left..and I guess she thought that she should carry it on for some reason.

Heehee. So I'm reading Ender's Game, and my mom reads the jacket. She's like, "That looks /so/ /boring/!" I say, "But it's sci-fi! It's wonderful beyond all wonderfulness!" Apparently, my mom has always *hated* sci-fi.

*clucks tongue* So now in addition to convincing Maggie that reading is GOOD, I also have to convince Mom that sci-fi is fun. ;)

This might be a good first sentence.

"The black abyss of night sky held its breath, waiting for something to happen under the whispering stars."

Veto it if you wish.

Hahaha. My mom and dad are the same way. They're college proffesers, and they (especially my mom) can't see why I like even classic fantasy, such as Tolkien. My dad /used/ to like sci-fi/fantasy, but now all he reads are poems (he's a poet, by the way.) 'Tis a great question, how to get parents to like sci-fi. As for Maggie hating reading, give my sister a few years, and then I'll be in your position. ;)

I'd love to be in, but how about we make this thread for the planning and random comments about the story, and make another seperate thread for the actual thing.

I do want to do it. I never got to be in TAPM.
