Sweet!  Mom's lettin

Sweet!  Mom's letting me read The Lord of the Rings! Sweet!  I tried to start it today today but my room's to cold and I can't concentrate when dad's watching football.

Does anyone want to give me a sneak peek?

Um, a big part of it is just fighting and war. My mom had to skip those parts because she said they were so terribly boring. :P

I thought the whole series was great! The only thing I didn't like was whenever a main character went unconscious and it said, "...and ______ knew no more." I always thought they had died and went, "WHAT?!!!!"

Goldberry is awesome!

I love the way Tolkien always spelled the word 'Oh'  'O'.

Virtual high five re: Goldberry. Tom's cool too. It was a shame that they left him out of the movie, but I can see why they did. They never would have been able to capture the essence of it, especially with all the singing.

I like it all, although the Mordor parts aren't my favorite. Several of my friends say Tolkein is overly descriptive, but I disagree. Have fun with them - they are classics for a good reason.

I love the movies, but I've heard that they are hardly like the book. =P

Frodo is in the council meeting at the house of Elrond.  I've found I can't read that part at night like I usually do.  That part is boooring.
