I wrote poems

I wrote poems

I wrote poems and haikus a few days ago, and forgot about them.  But then when I looked at GloWorms poems and haikus, I remembered them.  So I will share with you my probably-not-so-brilliant-poems-that-I-wrote-a-few-days-ago.  But first, I must go and find the papers that I wrote them on...  Found them in the fridge!  /*joking*/ I actually found them laying on my bed.  So, here they are...

Cool wind carreses

My face with the chill fingers

Of the Autumn time

~

The voice of the wind

Whispers to me, telling of

Things I'll never see

~

Soft snow will fall, and

Land on my lashes

Hard rain will drop, and

Land on my face

The sun will shine, and

Give peace to my mind

Leaves will float down, and

Become my blanket.

What I think of the poems I'll say later.  Now, I must go do the dishes.

Now that I've done the dishes, read a bit, made magnetic mini-houses, said "madam" in an English accent, eaten dinner, and said, "Goodbye, madam," to a five-year-old, I will now say what I think of my poems.  The first poem, I would like to say, has a misspelled word.  It's caresses, not 'carreses'.  And in some ways, the poem kind of does not make sense.  So, yeah, that's all I would like to say about the first one.  Now, what I think of the second.  To me, that means that the wind came from a place that I will never see, or be in.  The third one, I was kind of pretending I was the ground.  Hehehe.  :D

@ Katie: I didn't say anything to you because your post hadn't come up yet.  :D

Yes, I may want this thread to go to the top.

I'm not much good with haiku, but I like these, especially the second one. I love the longer poem - you did a good job with that one.

I esecially love the part in the last poem about the the sun shining and the part about leaves falling. Dont' quite know why, but those are my favorite parts. I liked them all! The first one hiaku made sense to me, but I liked the second one better. That's all! Bye 4 now!!

I agree with Emma; your imagery was good.
