I'm new to CB and was wondering... What exactly are AEs? Everyone keeps talking about them, and I couldn't figure out what they are. Thanks so much!

A.E. stands for alter ego (Latin for "other I"). O Chatterbox it refers to a character someone creates to show a different side of their pesonality.

Hey there, WildWolf! Welcome to the CB. Yes, as the Admins explained, AE means "alter ego." AEs are fun characters people like to create and roleplay as to show the different sides of their personalities. While you don't have to create them (I myself went half a year as a CBer without having any, but I do have some now), many CBers do, and it's lots of fun. If you'd like to create some AEs, I'd be happy to help you.

Yep, exactly what Peri said :)  I have EIGHT AE's... they're a nightmare. Yeah, basically you make different people based of your different personalities
