Huyana prowled the forest, feeling the earth scrape her claws. Even though she was a young pup, only one no-moon old. She saw a gray young wolf, headed her way. Huyana's instincts told her to race out and confront the wolf, fighting. But, she forced herself to walk steadily forward. The other wolf caught scent of her, and and shouted, "Who's there?" Huyana moved faster until she was running towards the voice. She found the young wolf, and said, panting, "I am Huyana. Who are you?" The wolf pup answered by saying, "I am Eitak."
