Sorry. I lied

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Sorry. I lied

Sorry. I lied about my age. I said I was 13, but I am actually 10. I can't even do Script Frenzy. I hope no one is mad.

It's okay, my friend. I lie about my age on the Internet. Not here. I'm really 12. But when I was 11 I did Nano, which you hafta be 13 for, and I'm doing Screnzy when I'm 12.I personally think (this may just be my thin conscience ;D) that as far as the Internet goes, as long as your parents know and are okay with it, you can do whatever you want regardless of age.

You can always do YWP if you like. Koffee and Maggie and Charlotte will buddy you, so you won't be alone. :)

Btw, to your credit--- you don't write like a 10yrold at all. You're much bette than most I know. :)

Yeah, don't worry about it. I've gotten so used to saying I was born in 1992 rather than 1993 whilst on the Internet that I have trouble remembering to put the right date when filling out paperwork. *grin* I, personally, don't care.

Don't worry, it's okay! :) I lie about my age all the time on the internet except on here, I really am 12. My online age is usually around 14, and I am in 9th grade. :) Like ML said, I have a very thin concience towardss things that really can't prove anything. Although, I did recieve an AARP card the other day, and one for my "spouse", also named "Ema". I did say I was 81 just for the fun of it on one site, but all sites know is that I live in NY. So I don't really know what happened there. :) And you do write really well for 10! I thought you were a 13-year-old, to be honest with you. *gives brownie*

Oh, Ann, nobody really cares. Most of us hide our real names and locations. As long as you don't tell any huge lies about major things, it's perfectly okay to give a fake name, or location, or age. Don't feel bad. :-D

And WHY in the world do you have to be that old to do Screnzy again?

I do not know Emilie. (sorry for barging in) And it's okay to lie about age. It's actually, recommended. By me anyways. I know. I'm an ISF (internet safety freak). I even lie about my name. Okay, so maybe everyone knows that my real name isn't Olive, but whatever. And I'm doing Screnzy and I'm only 12! (shh. Be real hush on that). I'd give y'all my username for NaNo and Screnzy (I don't care if they have the same log in!) but my mom would kill, as she said not to contact anyone. Oh dear, I think I posted this on the other Screnzy thread. Whoops. Did I mention that this is my first time doing Screnzy? (or anything associated with NaNo) and that on the NaNo website (yes I check it) it says that in 2011 there will be a NaNo all year round! Eep! Sorry if you know that already. Laterz!

No worries. I've done the same thing loads of times. I'm actually 14, but I don't say that on most sites.

@Mary Liz: Maggie's doing screnzy?! Me too! I'm on both sites (YWP and regular).

Thanks a lot you guys! I'm so glad no one's mad.

@ Emilie: As I gather, there are several reasons:

-Like I said, the forums--- they can get a little racy
-A lot of younger kids wouldn't be able to necessarily put that much effort into something like, say, Nano; that's why they haz the YWP (Young Writers' Program) for kids under 13
-They do have to be a little elitist, I think, just for practical reasons

@ Koffee: She is doing it, and she's started her script, but I haven't gotten around to having her actually register officially on the Screnzy site. She will this week, though. :) Then she'll buddy you on the screnzy site.

Glad to be of assistance on the smiling bit :) Destiny is this little girl who is probably about seven now. She is my homie, and I have her to thank for my rippling muscles after giving her hours of piggy-back rides :D Just kidding. I don't have rippling muscles. But the rest of it was true :)

Lol! XD She sounds cute.

Maggie frenzymail'd you back. She writes her own messages now, so the grammar is worse. ;) But she's been checking her inbox nonstop for the past 10 min waiting for a reply. *grin*
