Favorite Words

What are some of your favorite words? I was watching the last 5 rounds of the 2010 Scripps National Spelling Bee, and was inspired to think of my favorites. *gets list out* Yes, I do keep a list. Actually, whenever I see a word I like, I write it down (after looking it up in the dictionary if I've never seen it in my life or asking someone). *nodnod* xD Okay, so here they are: soubresout, gyokuro, leishmanic, infundibuliform, epiphysis, hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia (the fear of long words, pronounced hippo-pot-o-mons-tro-sis-quip-ped-al-io-phobia), phlegmatic, idiosyncrasy, hoomalimali, limn, vivisepulture, and appogiatura. And others. xD

Soo-oo, what are some of your favorites? xD *feels cheesy*

Whats sesquipedalian?

A long word, or long (as in a word--that is, "Wow, that word is so sesquipedalian!" Although that sentence is completely pointless; "Wow, that's such a sesquipedalian!" would have sufficed, given the multiple meanings.), or a person given to using long words. Similarly, sesquipedaliophobia is fear of long words. The prefix 'hippopotomonstro' can be added to either word for emphasis. I am a hippopotomonstrosesquipedalian.

Suffice! Subterfuge!
