Hey y'all! So

Hey y'all! So

Hey y'all! So today's Friday, meaning camp's over for the week! (I got let out of school on June 25) And guess what type of camp I went to? A CREATIVE WRITING CAMP! And unlike the one I went to last year, this one actually helped. We pretty much typed for the entire day. (except for a few fifteen minute breaks, and lunch) So I shall now share my limited wisdom with you all. (and a few things to help with your writing)

1) One of the things we had to do was describe an object to someone who has never seen and heard of it before, I'm not kidding when I say it's pretty hard.

2) We also had to describe a feeling.

3) We were encouraged to keep a journal. To help our writing skills and say, we were forty and were writing a story in the view of a ten year old, but we didn't know much about ten year olds, then we could look back into our journals to when we were ten and it would help us put ourselves into the POV of a ten year old.

I am very itchy to continue writing a screen play. My goal is to write four pages a day, then in 25 days, I'll have 100 pages. I should have done that for Screnzy.... Laterz! I hope my advice helped!

P.S. Does anyone have any NaNo diets! Mine is to write a steady 2000 words a day and I'll have achieved 50,000 by the 25th. I don't plan on reaching past 50,000. Especially since it will be my first time doing NaNo.

That sounds fun! I wish I had a camp like that to go to...

I'm not planning on participating in NaNo, but I'm doing JulNo this year, and I do have word count goals for each day. I write at least 1613 words per day, so I'll finish by the end of the month. If it was a 30-day month, I'd do 1667 words per day. 2000 words is probably a better strategy, though, because it leaves leftover room by the end of the month to catch up if you're behind. I do try to exceed my goals a bit, though...

I'm not doing JulNo. Partly because I'm limited to a number of sites and the JulNo site isn't one of them, but I'm also not doing it because I don't really have an idea. Good luck!

Right. Thanks! I was just talking about it because it's basically the same. I wish I could do NaNo! I just can't, what with school and everything.
