Poetry Readings.

Poetry Readings.

I just went to my first open mic poetry reading and actually didn't puke on anyone's shoes when I read my poem :) Has anyone else been to poetry readings before? Read any of your poems?

No. But earlier in the school year (same day as field day actually) I was in a UIL comppetiton reading "The King's Peanut-Butter Sandwich" by Shel Silverstien! I got 2nd place for my grade! I would have got 1st butmy voice was flakey and my throat hurt because we had field day that same afternoon (2 hours ealier) and I was screaming so loud for my teammates I blew out my voice! I was really lucky that I did not loose my voice!

Oh and congrats that you didn't throw-up on anyone's shoes! But I have a few poems nobody knows about! I will post them later because I have to get off the computer so my mom can write a magazine article for the Old Schoolhouse magazine!

Oh and are you homeschooled Koffe?? If you are cool! I am! Good-bye for now!

That's so cool! Congratulations :) I just read one of the poems I'd written that was still kind of a WIP but they gave me practically a standing ovation for it, though I think that was more because I looked like I was going to hurl on someone's shoes. :D No, sadly I'm not homeschooled, but I wish I were :P
