Teapot Fun!&

Teapot Fun!

I have recently discovered the amazing fun of rewriting nursery rhymes and kiddy songs. Like "I'm a Little Teapot" rewritten as 'We Are Rubber Spatulas." I dare you to work out a parody/alter ego of a common rhyme and post it here. Here's mine, and I double dare you to sing aloud and make up kiddy motions as you do:

We are rubber spatulas, bendy and thin

She is a her and I am a him

When you have a cake bowl, let us in

Scrape us around and the cake can't win.

And for the record, I have not disappeared. When I open internet on my laptop, it's set to open to the CB; I just haven't had any reason to post on any threads I've seen. 'Sides, life's busy. Anywho, have fun!

Cheers,

NDT

Twinkle, twinkle, little star...Dull, dull, humoungous fist

You are dull, very big fist

You will punch me in the eye.

You are big and you are blunt,

Please don't hit me or go 'punt',

You are dull, very big fist,

You will punch me in the eye.

Wolfgirl67: (NDT: Eye and fist do not rhyme! Ahem.)

Mine is called "Squeezing Out My Toothpaste" and it is to the tune of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider."

Squeezing out my toothpaste

To brush all my teeth

Tops and sides and even

Underneath

Now I'm all done and

My teeth are very white

I feel lots better

And my breath smells all right!

Vick and Andy Percy Capcha say yxet.

Who says eye and fist don't rhyme? Listen to them! Hog, dog, log, bog; shy, why, eye, fist! It's perfect!

In all seriousness, though, I like. Andy's is definitely the best interpretation of 'Jabberwocky' that I've ever heard.

I'm feeling kind of dumb right now; you may have noticed. Given what's going on at the moment (my biology disk is trying to crash my computer instead of teaching me about cellular respiration, and I'm proving incompetent to stop it), that's understandable. Anywho, go make the itsy-bitsy spider brush his teeth! And go punch stars, if you feel like it and have a really big step-stool.

Hmm.. well how about this:

Little Miss Muffet

Little Miss Neat,

Sat on her seat,

Eating some yummy ice cream,

Just then a shark,

Tried to sing like a lark,

And made Miss Neat feel like she was in a dream.

Kinda close to the original and with a weird rhyming pattern, but it'll work!!!

Dance inside the Birdbath. To the tune of Ring around the Rosies.

Dance inside the Birdbath,

We were all dirty,

Cleaning, cleaning,

We all fly out.

How about that????

Maybe that's what birds are yelling when they're in our birdbath. I had wondered what they were saying; they're always so noisy. You have a good explanation. :D
