NaNoWriMo!!!!

NaNoWriMo!!!!

It's almost time for NaNo (only two more weeks or so)! I'm so excited, this is going to be my first NaNo. My plan is to write down 2000 or more words per day. You guys? I hope they're doing the free proof copy thing again this year! I'm so excited! (I know it's a bit early to do a NaNo thread, but that just proves how excited I am)

I did NaNo forever ago, but I failed miserably and have never gotten over the embarrassment. Maybe I'll try it again this year, who knows...

I'm doing NaNo this year! I'm doing the YWP again, though. I did it last year and reached my goal of 30k, so this year i'm shooting for 40k. Next year I'll finally be able to do the 50k :D You guys should buddy me. ;)

I barely manage to keep up with schoolwork just now - November is always a bad month. :( Maybe next year; I really want to do NaNo, but I can't afford to fail a month's worth of tests because of it.

I can't wait!  I just came on to Inkwell to make a NaNo thread, then I saw this!  I have signed up for the NaNoWriMo as Evilsilhouette, so buddy me!  :D  I am also trying to do 2000 words a day, maybe 5000 the first day!  I want to be over the word goal everyday, like I was in the beginning of JulNo.  But then I dropped down, down...  until I was 10k lower than I should be.  Then I did math and then did 2500 words a day, and then got to my 50k word goal!  WOO!  Now I will try the official WriMo, NANOWRIMO!!  In the month of November, I will name all my fluffy stuffed animals who don't give me any inspiration but give me things to ramble about in my story; Vember, NaNo, Midnight (seeing as November starts at midnight...), and multiple others.  And maybe I can name my charries Vember Nano, and Midnight...  No, no.  No plannning.  Not so soon.  But I can write name ideas.  I will.  Fill pages and pages with names I like and get confused over which name I have decided on for each character...  and then I'll have to some up with a vague setting, and a plot, and then I'll make up a new language.  No, not a language.  I shouldn't be planning so soon, but NaNo is so close!  sixteen days!  A little over a fortnight!  WOO!  I* always wake up in the morning trying not to plan it, and then I freak out and think that its already November and then I get up and look at the calendar and then let out a deep sigh of relief and then start palnning and then yell at myself because I shouldn't be plannning so early and...

Hehe.  Its already driving me crazy.  I'll stop my insane rambles and post this.

What are WriMos? I've heard of NaNos, JulNos, but what ARE they?

They're novel writing months. NaNoWriMo, for example, stands for the National Novel Writing Month. It's a contest where you try to write a book with a certain amount of words (usually 50,000) in one ridiculously short month. Some people (like TNO) do twice as much, but most of us have to work really hard to 'win' by reaching our goals.

I'm only doing 50,000 this year though. I am too busy to try for 100,000 again, what with actually having homework (AP English FTW), college apps, work, and miscellaneous vocal stuff for musical theatre. AND drama will probably start in November, too. *crazy eyes*

We'll see, though, we'll see.

I'm in an (online) AP English class, too. No one in my class is from Colorado, though (you are, right?), so I don't think I got lucky. Too bad. :P

Nope, I'm from Wyoming, not Colorado.

Oh, sorry . . . You'd think I'd be able to remember that, cause my mum was born in Wyoming. :P

Wyoming isn't too far from Colorado! =D Christopher Paolini lives in Montana, and that's not too far away from either of us!

I'm doing NaNo again this year, too! :) I'm sparrowsong_ema on the main site, if anyone wants to buddy me. :)

Lav! You won the poetry contest!! :) Because I saw your name, and then stalkerishly came on the CB to see if it was you, and it was! Haha, I also verified it by the writing style, because it sounded like something you would do. :D Nice job!! :D

Thanks! That was me! I didn't know my writing was so distinctive. . . . . I'll have to be more careful if I ever write under a psuedonym, or Ema will blow my cover (jk). :D

xD I'm such a plan-ruiner. :) And you're welcome. I had just remembered when you used to be "Emily H." on the CB. :)
