Writing SI!

So, this isn't the same as your normal SI. Here you post a story snippet (that you JUST wrote) under a different name and people try to guess you. You can post more than once after someone has guessed you! Ready, set... WRITE!

Lying on my side in front of the fire, gazing into it, I contemplate all that has happened.  It is a mysterious thing, the past; it was, it is, it will be mysterious for all eternity.  My specialty - history.  I am one of the Muses, the nine eternal beings who think and ponder and learn and sing.  Euterpe is playing music; Urania gazes through her telescope.  But that is the present; let me turn my thoughts to the past, which is a greater thing than the present, a far greater thing, and it is mainly from the past that we learn what we know.  I had that thought two seconds ago.  It is not a new thought.  I am making a special study of exact times; I decided to make this study nine short years, three months, three weeks, four days ago; on that day, at nine fifty-four and twenty-seven seconds in the morning. That is at present nine years, three months, three weeks, four days, ten hours, sixteen minutes and three seconds ago, and counting.  History is, indeed, a fascinating topic; it is never over, it is never exhausted.  My field, that of the past, is therefore every bit the equal of my sisters'.  But song and dance are talents that we all share completely and none of us is better than any other.  We were taught by the lord Apollo, so many years ago - four thousand and eleven years ago, to be precise, on the summer solstice.  And never have we ever looked back from those magical moments when we first learned the art of choral song and dance.  The past, the present, the future - indeed, all are equally magical and blessed and lovely.

Did I write four thousand and eleven years ago, that the good and great lord Apollo taught us to sing and dance?  I meant four thousand and one years ago.  These keyboards confuse me.  Computers are such clumsy and stupid things.  Don't get me started on them.  Why, twenty years ago...

I could lie, but I won't.  And after all that trouble I went to not to be on as myself at the same time I was on!  (That makes no sense).  How do you guys do it????

Julia woke in the middle of the night to the sweet sound of music. She sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes. The sound continued. Julia could hear bells tinkling, and the soft sound of voices singing. She pushed the covers away and placed her bare feet down on the hard, cold wooden floor. As if in a dream, Julia walked to the door, her nightgown swishing against her legs. She opened the door and stepped onto the cool grass. A full moon shined down on her. Julia slowly walked toward the music. As she came closer and closer, she transferred into a jog, and then a run. Soon she was sprinting as fast as she could toward the music. The music was urging her on, telling her to go faster. Julia felt like she was flying. And soon, she was indeed soaring toward the music. She flew through the sky to a clearing in the woods. Her feet touched the ground right outside of a ring of pansies. The grass inside the circle was a brighter green than Julia had ever seen before. The music seemed to come from right in the middle of the green. It enveloped her until she felt like she was in the middle of the music. It pulled her toward the center of the ring. In her heart, Julia felt like she should go, like there was something pulling her back, but the music was so beautiful and she wanted more of it. The closer to the circle she came, the more the music engulfed her. She was powerless against it. It pushed her towards the ring. As the music raced around her, a strong wind swirled her hair around her face. By now, Julia would not have been able to resist the music, even if she had wanted to. The moment she stepped into the circle she sank deep into the grass, never to be seen again by those on this earth.

Sorry about that, Oregano! That time, I wasn't so sure about it. I thought it might be you, so I just took a guess. Good job covering up your tracks, though! I noticed that and thought "Aww, man! If Clio had left some clues, I might've been able to guess her!" Sorry!
