Help With Poetry!

Help With Poetry! I want to write poetry, but need some good ideas, HELP! All of my teachers tell me I write really well, but once I tried to start a full length novel, but it didn't turn out. Now I have turned to poetry.

Well, first of all what type of help do you want exactly?

Do you have no idea what your poem should be about? Poetry can really be about anything and it never really has to rhyme. It's very hard for me to write rhyming poems... I don't know about you.

Do you want to write a love poem or more of an everyday poem? Take something that inspires you i.e.  a person, a book...

I'm sorry if I didn't help much; I just don't know what you want help with.

Oh! Have you read The Hunger Games? This is just an example.

*SPOILER ALERT (meaning do not read this if you haven't read the Hunger Games)*

Okay, a scene where Rue dies. You take that scene; the grief, the loss, the tears, the love, the song. You take all those emotions and create a poem. You can mention Rue or just take the over all emotions and scene and create your own poem. :)

*END OF SPOILER ALERT*

Here's my advice: give it all, give it now.

That wasn't something I came up with, there is a good, inspiring book by this title!
