In Jonathan Lethem's

In Jonathan Lethem's pep talk for NaNo, he mentioned something very very helpful: "Raymond Chandler said that when he was at a loss for a plot development he'd have a man walk through a doorway with a gun in his hand. Good advice I've heeded a hundred times or more, but it wasn't the doorway, it was the gun that might solve your problem. " -Jonathan Lethem

So... I've already had someone walk through a door, but he wasn't the one who drew the gun. My favourite, BA charrie Chloe was. ;)

And that's really all I had to say today.

16721. I should really get started on my NaNo.

My favorite Nano pep talk advice thingy was "When in doubt, add ninjas. They don't have to be real ninjas. Well, of course, they can be." I don't have it quite right because the Office of Letters and Light is doing maintenance. Or, when in doubt, add swordfights. Or gunfights. I much prefer sword fights, though.
So. When in doubt, add ninjas, swordfights, gunfights, kidnappings, deaths, or candy. Candy usually helps. Oh, and dragons. Always add dragons.

Unfortunately, no swordfights yet for me. Just kidnappings and a tiny bit of forbidden love. But there will be plenty, plenty of swordfights and gunfights. And my favorite, Cartmer, is a very good swordswoman.
