I have cute little motivational ones that are ok.

If someone is trying to bring you down, it only means you're above them.

(Along the same lines:) If someone is talking behind your back, it only means you're in front of them.

I've got an inspirational poem:

 How Did You Die

by Edmund Vance Cooke

Did you tackle that trouble that came your way

With a resolute heart and cheerful?

Or hide your face from the light of day

With a craven soul and fearful?

Oh, a trouble's a ton, or a trouble's an ounce,

Or a trouble is what you make it,

And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,

But only how did you take it? You are beaten to earth?

Well, well, what's that!

Come up with a smiling face.

It's nothing against you to fall down flat,

But to lie there--that's disgrace.

The harder you're thrown, why the higher you bounce

Be proud of your blackened eye!

It isn't the fact that you're licked that counts;

It's how did you fight--and why?

And though you be done to the death, what then?

If you battled the best you could,

If you played your part in the world of men,

Why, the Critic will call it good.

Death comes with a crawl, or comes with a pounce,

And whether he's slow or spry,

It isn't the fact that you're dead that counts,

But only how did you die?

Wow! It's lovely but a bit strange too, good mostly. I've never heard of it before, where's it from.

It's just a poem that I know of. You can find it if you look it up on the web. I actually thought it was kinda funny.

 Writer Waiting by Shel Silverstein

Oh this shiny new computer -

There just isn’t nothin’ cuter.

It knows everything the world ever knew.

And with this great computer

I don’t need no writin’ tutor,

‘Cause there ain’t a single thing that it can’t do.

It can sort and it can spell,

It can punctuate as well.

It can find and file and underline and type.

It can edit and select,

It can copy and correct,

So I’ll have a whole book written by tonight

(Just as soon as it can think of what  to write).

I use both of those all the time! People say I'm crazy.

On another quote thread around here somewhere (Snake said it first):

Tolerance is for those who have not the patience nor the love inside them to learn acceptance.

Here's something by L.M. Montgomery that I always quote when people say I dream about things too much or get lost in my own head sometimes (which is usually all the time): "And she was richer in those dreams than in realities; for things seen pass away, but the things that are unseen are eternal." It's from Anne of the Island. Kind of pretty, ain't it?

@ PiperC.

It's a reference to this show called Phineas and Ferb on Disney Channel.  Perry is the pet platypus who just seems to disappear every day.
