Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Nutcracker!

Nutcracker!

Today is the first day of the Nutcracker!  I'm Clara! I'm super excited. I don't really get nervous until I'm about to go on stage, but once I'm on, I'm fine. I am a little nervous abou the finale, because I  have to do Fuettes on pointe.

Ivy, today is our first Nutcracker performance of the season, too! We had dress rehearsal last night. I play violin in the orchestra. I don't even get to see Clara. If I dare take my eyes off the music, I might lose my place. I did look at the stage during the harp solo at the beginning of Waltz of the Flowers. That's about all I got to see. I do have a DVD of the performance from a few years ago, so I can watch that.

Break a leg, Ivy! I'm sure you'll do fine on the fuettes, especially if you've practiced them a lot. How many performances do you have?

Oooh, don't say that to a dancer!

Thank you Admin and Teresa! Two shows done, two to go! The Fuettes went well; I did five the first show, and 6 the second. I was so relived!

Do you do two shows a day? Our show went well . . . except the curtain didn't get opened on time for Spanish Chocolat. The music was going, the dancers were dancing, but behind a closed curtain. Then it opened after a bit. Let's hope tomorrow goes better!

Yes, we do four shows, two per day. Oh no, I hope they get the curtains open on time tomorrow!

Spammy is calling me a dork! That's not very nice Spammy!

Thanks. I trust they will.

Thank you everyone! All four shows went surprisingly well,  but the last show was probably the best.

Our last performance, Sunday, went much better, too. The curtain opened on time on the Spanish chocolat dancers!

Ah, yes! You're right Admin. It is not 'break a leg' it is 'merde'.
