Merlin! Hey all!

Merlin! Hey all!

Merlin! Hey all! I've started watching Merlin (taking a break from Doctor Who xD) and I love it! Merlin's awesome, as are the other characters :) I've finished the first season and plan to watch more once I can get it in better quality.

I know Ivy and BHR love it too, so both of yous come here. And fangirl with me!

*spoilers*

Oh. My. Gosh. Just saw... Sword in the Stone... Part 1 & 2... Can't. breathe. That was epic. Just epic. I'm laughing, and applauding, but I'm SO mad, and I'm crying! I'M LITERALLY CRYING!

Arthur was just hilarious in Part 1.

"I'm rather annoying."

He was so cute and funny!

Isolde, and Tristan, and WHY?! They were so perfect, and they were so close TO ACTUALLY SURVIVING! AND SHE DIED. I cried. That was so sad.

BUT THE SWORD IN THE STONE SCENE. Words cannot express it's perfect epicness. It's awesomeness. That was incredible.

Which just reminds me of the Lady of the Lake. Which of course was Freya, and now I'm crying again. I was so sad for Merlin.

I loved the whole:

"You have magic!"

"I was born with it."

There's a really cool edit out there of Uther and Merlin with that quote.

I don't know how I didn't see this earlier, but I LOVE THE SWORD IN THE STONE!!!!!!!!

I know, Arthur sooooo hilarious in Part 1!!!!!!! And the part when Tristen and Isolde find out about him being the king.

Isolde!!!! Why!!!!! I was crying when she died. Poor Tristen :'(

And poor Gwaine having to fight Morgana's men with just a stick.

What did you think or the way they handled the Gwen/Lancelot thing?

I know, I wanted to cry for Tristen. That's too sad.

I actually did prefer Lancelot/Gwen thing better in the show, though I think it's sad how Lancelot's memory had to be tarnished like that. Plus, I wanted to beat my head against a wall that they didn't discover it was magic. Just... gah.

*spoiler*

I actually just watched The Dark Tower, and Elyan just died! Oh my gosh, that is so sad. Plus, his death was sort of pointless and anti-climatic. GAH! And now Gwen has lost her mind.

Is it just me, or do Bellatrix and Morgana now bear resemblance the way she dresses?

FINALLY READING KING ARTHUR AND HIS KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE!!! Now I'll finally know everything that happens in the legend, and I'm so happy! *happy dance*

I agree about Morgana/Bellatrix! I had definitely thought that.

I was so mad when they didn't find out that the Lancelot thing was Morgana's fault!

Elyan's death was kind of pointless, but I would rather it was him than Arthur. It would have been really unrealistic if they had just taken Gwen back with out any stuggle.

Oh my gosh! You're getting so close to the end!!!!! Make sure you have a TON of tissues for the last episode. I bawled my eyes out. Why did it have to end! :(  I just watch the episodes over and over again to make myself feel better.

It would have been unrealistic, though I agree his death was pointless. I just still haven't gotten over how anti-climatic it was.

I KNOW! I'm so sad. I'm going to cry, I know it. It's going to kill me. I'm going to bawl for days on end.

Have you seen that video, Bradley James and Colin Morgan You're the Voice? I love it, it's hilarious!

I did see that. It was hilarious!!!

Make sure you post right away after you watch the finale. Then we can cry about it together! I still haven't gotten over it. I have a little alternate reality in my head. When you've watched the episode I'll tell you all about what I think should have happened.

That song has become my theme song. I listen to it all the time now!

Okay, I will! It may be awhile before I watch though, since I'm also catching up on other shows (like Top Gear), plus my mom (who is watching it with me) is delaying watching the end cause she is deep down a fangirl too, and will bawl her eyes out with me.

*semi spoiler*

The one where Uther comes back from the dead/ghost thing has officially become one of my favorite episodes! It was creepy, but really good! And the whole exchange between he and Merlin is fantastic! I love that episode.

Oooh, I haven't been on here for a long time. I just watched the Secret Sharer last night, so that's where I am. xD

Probably not a spoiler for any of you on this thread, but for anyone else, yeah, anyway.

I want Lanclot back. I miss him. He was amazing and now he's gone and . . . *cries*

Also, "Shhh . . . " *knock knock* "Looking for woodworm."

Morgona also borthers me a lot. She used to be so sweet and the four of them made such a good team and now she's so changed . . .

First: CORINA!!! *glomps*

Second: Oh, wow, yeah. It's going to get intense!

*spoilers*

I miss Lancelot too. I cried. He was truly an epic Lancelot, and a wonderful Knight of the Round Table, and he SACRIFICED himself for Arthur (who typically has to be unconscious).

I know! I'm so upset about Morgana too! They were fantastic, she was fantastic, then she went psycho and I'm crying! #sobbing

So sad. I'm going to be completely and utterly emotionally and mentally destroyed at the end of this series.

I could have sworn I posted on Saturday. Or Friday. *squints suspiciously* Anyway.

*hugs BHR*

I watched the Sword on the Stone last night. *sniffles* I . ..

*spoilers*

Lancelot was just the noblest, truest knight anyone could ask for. I hate Morgona for soiling his image like that. And for breaking Gwen and Arthur apart.

And now, she is so power hungry she can't even see how much could be done if you did what Merlin does. Stay close to Arthur. Because someday, Arthur going to make it so the land accepts magic. But Morgona has made it so she'll never be welcome anywhere, because she's corrupted herself.

I know, right? I was crying in the Sword in the Stone, when Arthur was pulling the sword out. He looked so determined and kingly . . .

And now I'm happy, because Gwen and Arthur are back together again. :)

Oh my goodness!

My family just started watching this last week. Epic Movie. We have only watched 3 or 4 episodes but it is AMAZING! I didn't really like the Lancelot one, I thought it was too dramatic and wasn't good acting (and I should know. I want to be an actress when I grow up) Do you think Gwen and Merlin like each other, or does it just look like it?

@ Grace: *spoiler* It does kinda look like Gwen and Merlin like each other, but no, it's Guinevere from the legend, who was the wife of King Arthur.

I finished it. I really finished it. Last night. Then spent an hour dying.

*MAJOR spoilers*

I can't . . . *sobs* All those people died. So, so, so many. Morderd. Lanclot. Gwain. Morgona. Elion. Freya. Alice. Kara. Morgose. Merlin's father. So many of Camelot's knights and citizens. Dragons, sorcers, innocent people, so many. It hurts to think about. Arthur, too, in the end.

Imagine, the last time Gwen saw Arthur was when they were in the tent together. She must be so broken, but Gwen is so, so strong to stand up and be queen when her whole world's meaning has been swept away.

And now Merlin's immortal, forever waiting for the one and future king to rise again.

And the worst thing is, none of this could have happened differently. Back when it all started, when Uther started the Great Purge,  he was plagued with so much guilt. And he knew if he held all that inside of himself, he would go insane, so he pushed it all on the only thing he could: magic. What else could he have done? Then, Morgona was destined to go insane with her half-sister and become their worst enemy. Arthur was destined to be the once and future king and Gwen the queen. Morderd was destined to become Arthur's bane.

And the painful thing is, the prophecy is part of what caused it all. If Merlin had trusted Morderd, Arthur probably would have been more friendly towards him and Morderd would have loved Merlin and never betrayed him. Even if Kara died, Morderd probably would have blamed Morgona like Gwain had, not Arthur or Merlin, because he would trust them more and know they would never do anything like that if he could possibly prevent it.

But instead, Merlin distrusted the druid boy from the start and that caused it all.

Finally, in the end, half of them were in insane and the other half was desperately trying to survive.

When Merlin killed Morgona, I felt no joy, just sadness, because I thought of the amazing girl she had been before hate  drove her mad. The four of them had been so fantistic. So fabulous.

And when Mordred killed Arthur, they had been so sad.

"I had no choice." His last words. And then that amazing boy died at the hands of his saviour and doom. And the king died at the hands of his friend and his bane.

*shakes head* It's so painful and sad.  The end was amazingly built up, though. And I can't help but think of all the good times, all times when Arthur and Merlin stood together in battle, as brothers. When Morderd first arrived and he insistanly called Emryss. When Gwen and Arthur first fell in love.

"I just don't think you should be walking around the castle at this hour, sire."

"Are you saying I'm drunk?!"

"No, you're not wearing any trousers."

Good times, good times. And now I feel all hollow inside. *curls up into a ball and cries*
