Maleficent!!!

Maleficent!!!

Maleficent!!!

I know it only came out yesterday, but I actually got to go see it this morning, and it is FREAKING FANTASTIC! I loved it so much. The story was great, the actors/actresses were INCREDIBLE (Angelina Jolie was just the OHMYGOSH CAN'T DESCRIBE THAT FANTASTIC kind of Maleficent, and I was AMAZED), and I was literally on the edge of my seat for most of the movie.

Has anyone else seen it?

I so can't wait to see it! But as always, I'm going to have to wait a few months before it comes out on DVD. It sounded so good and creepy from the trailer and I love Lana Del Rey's Once Upon A Dream rendition.

Haven't seen it yet but it sounds awesome. And I agree with Everinne, Lana del Rey's "Once Upon A Dream" is awesome. It's a little creepy even...

@ Elizabeth:

I love how creepy she made the song, especially since the whole tone of Maleficent seems so dark. Have you heard the really "hipster" version by Emily Osmett? I nearly gagged. On the subject of Lana Del Rey, have you heard any of her other songs? I love "Young and Beautiful" that she wrote for The Great Gatsby.

@Everinne:

I agree! I haven't seen the "hipster" version, but on account of how you described it, I'm not sure if I want to.

The song is creepy, especially after having seen the movie. I've seen the Emily Osment version, and no, it isn't all that good.

Listening to Emily Osmett's  "Once Upon A Dream" cover. Sounds like a disney channel opening song or something. Lana Del Ray's is certainly better.

@Everinne- I know quite a few songs by Lana Del Ray however I'm not a big fan, although I think that "Once Upon A Dream" is really great. Do you know "Brite Lites"?  Her songs are pretty catchy, I think, see  "Summertime Sadness", for example.

"Summertime Sadness" isn't bad, though you can't really sing along to it. I'm not that huge fan of hers, but I like that kind of lazy, hypnotic quality of her voice, and her "Once Upon a Dream" and "Young and Beautiful" are two of my favorite songs.

Okay, I say I can't sing along to it, then it's stuck in my head like crazy after hearing it on the radio and I'm singing it under my breath all the time. :/

I totally want to see it but I have a 7 year old little brother, so it's rare that I see something like that. But my dad and I watch scary-ish stuff like that sometimes when my brother isn't around.

I got to see it in the theatre with my school on the second-to-last day! We were supposed to see Million Dollar Arm, but they messed up and showed Maleficent instead! I thought it was really good.
