Theatre or film? Because I'll wager that most CBers only have theatre experience, if anything.

Okay. Theatre rules:

1. Do not, under any circumstances, interrupt the director. You'll be scolded.

2. E.nun.ci.ate.

3. PROJECTION IS KEY. Don't yell, mind you. Just...most seating is amphitheater-style; that is, each row is higher than the last. There's likely going to be at least one person sitting at the very back of the theatre, and they need to be able to hear you. They'll probably teach you some tips on how to project at the thing, if you make it.

Break a leg at your audition!!

Spammy says: vitu. One letter off from vita, which is Latin for life.

I really have close to 0 experince in real theater sort of deals. I've never auditioned--I plan to audition for Oliver! in the fall (if I can...), but I've still never really gotten a chance to be in a real sort of play/musical, so I'm not much help. This week I am taking a camp where we're doing small scenes from different Shakespeare plays (I'm Macduff!) but we didn't try out or anything--the instructor assigned us to our roles. Maggie's right--enunciate and speak loudly. That's really all I can say.
