Sherlock

Okay, I'm probably way too obsessed with this TV show for my own good.

It's amazing.

It's just amazing.

The actors are amazing, the plot is amazing (although the writers owe me a few thousand nerve cells), it's just... amazing.

It's the only way I can describe it.

So, all Sherlockians, UNITE!

OMG I LOVE SHERLOCK!!!!!!!!  I've watched it all twice, once by myself, once with my parents and I have them hooked too!

The actors are just amazing. I am obsessed with all of them!

I'm bad enough that I attempt to make deductions about people! (for some extra help check out A Guide to Deduction on Tumblr. There are all sorts of cool deduction hints)

And the CLIFFHANGERS!!!!!!!!! Not cool Sephan Moffat and Mark Gatiss, not cool! TWO YEARS between series is just not fair!  AND, season 4 isn't set to start FILMING until January of 2016, which means it won't be released until 2017!!!! Ugh!!!!!

Also, what's your favorite episode(s)?  And characters?

As a person who read the entire Sherlock Homles series and watched the first two Sherlock tv show episodes, I assure you that the books are far superior to the tv show.

The first episode I watched was fine; it was loosely based on  A Study in Scarlet. I survived.

The second episode was way worse, not at all based on the books and was just grating on my nerves the entire time I watched it.

The actors are unamazing, the plot is unamazing (although the writers owe me a few thousand nerve cells), it's just... unamazing.

I will not watch any more episodes anymore.

Just a horrible, horrible tv show.

P.S. Capcha, says "bdnz"

Ooookay then?

Everyone has their own opinion, but there's no need to bash. Also, having only seen two episodes, you haven't even seen the best parts of the show.  Plus, the episodes aren't supposed to be exactly the same as the novels.  They're supposed to be a fresh, modern take on Sherlock Holmes that loosely follow the main events of the books.

I'm a little curious how you could think that Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman aren't talented actors.  If you don't like the characters of plots, that's your own opinon, but I find it hard to believe that you can't see that they are talented.

I think that a good tv show should intrigue you at the fist episode you watch. I think that even if I watched "Sherlock" with out reading the books I would have not liked the tv show, Sherlock is just a very creepy and evil person like he wants people to be murdered so he can have a case to work on.

Oh and the part when I said, "The actors are unamazing," I was just copying what Katie M. was saying when she started the thread except putting un in front of all the amazings. I didn't intentionally mean to say the actors were untalented. I really don't have a stance on the talent level of the actors.

I have also read the books and think the show is good because it basically chops up the stories and uses different parts in different ways without making it too much like the books. Oh my gosh though, I wanted to scream after the last episode, I still do whenever I think about it! 2017 you say? NOOOOOO!!!!! Runs off screaming.

True, books are always better than their film adaptations. I never said they were better, just that I thought they were amazing.

@Forrest: I know! 2017?!?

@Ivy: The cliffhangars make me want to scream. They are awful- in the best way. I am also VERY MAD that the next season is not coming out this year, not next year, but THE YEAR AFTER THAT. However, if you've heard, there's a Christmas special coming out this Christmas! I really couldn't choose a favorite episode- though gun to the head it's likely I'd choose The Reichebach Fall.
