Inside Out

I just saw this movie today, and thought it was really great! Puns (my favorite kind of humor), real emotion (haha), wonderful message. I thought Sadness was so adorable! It was a very, very good movie. I suggest seeing it if possible (it just came out), and if not in theaters, wait a bit and rent it! Really good.

Whoa, that was more depressing than I expected. Still good, though!

"You could get lost in there."

"Think positive!"

"Okay. I'm positive you will get lost in there."

My friend told me that there's a really funy part at the end of it, but she wouldn't tell me what it was.

I'm seeing it on the last day of school (Friday). We tried to see it on Sunday, but it was rainy, so the 2 movie theaters nearest to us were sold out. We didn't bother trying the third one. I can't wait!!!

Minor spoiler alert, your friend may have been talking about a sequence that plays during the credits where we see the emotions of every character who appeared in the movie, even a cat and a dog. Yep, there are cat and dog emotions. It was pretty hilarious.

It's great, isn't it? I love the part with the cat's mind at the end, that was hysterical. I keep wondering if the emotions have little emotions inside their heads, too. They do become happy, and sad, and angry, and the other stuff at times.

And there are the most hilarious lines!

"Crying helps me understand the weight of life's problems."

Sadness is so adorable!

Yes, she is.

But I think it would be interesting if they had had a Reason character who sat back and mostly let Joy run things but would step in if things got out of hand. When Joy and Sadness leave, he takes control and Riley becomes quiet and unemotional. Anger and Disgust get mad at him for pushing them out and revolt, tying Reason up and taking control. Reason tries to advise him, but no... Fear, Anger, and Disgust put the running away idea in Riley's head and Reason is powerless.

Now that would have been good. What if reason wasn't so much as another emotion but a being of some sort...something sitting in the back of headquarters, waiting to be of need.

See why I think you would script an award-winning movie?

Oh, the other great thing about the movie? No romance!

Did you guys know that it was originally planned to have 27 emotions instead of 5? They obviously scrapped that idea because it was way too complicated. Maybe there was originally going to be a character like reason!

I would have liked to have seen Schadenfreude (shaw-denn-froi-duh). That's pleasure at someone's misfortune.

I saw it today. It was a great movie, but much different than I expected. Mostly more sad.

@J.B.E- do you have any idea what the other emotions were going to be? I really want to know.
