Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

It's nine o'clock. You're in your living room, settling down
to a nice cup of hot chocolate, when suddenly, there's a knock at your door. Hmm,
that's strange
. You think. Who would be knocking at this late hour?
You go over to your door and open it. There, right before your very eyes,
is a ghost! AAAAHHH!!! You scream. The ghost jumps. Pardon for
frightening you, I was instructed to give you this invitatation to the
famous Hallows Eve Hotel.
The ghost says, handing you the
invitation. Not knowing what else to do, you take it and read;

We invite you to the world famous Hallows Eve
Hotel, where during Fall leading up to All Hallow's Eve, you will enjoy
our relaxing, Five star Hotel, that just recently was nominated 'Most Haunted
Hotel of the year' award by the Home and Graveyards magazine! Here
you will enjoy many fun filled activities such as, pumpkin carving, Pie wars,
Hide and Ghost seek, Graveyard tours, monster hunting, and other fun
activities. There will even be absoloutely no murders! Are you brave enough to
come? If so, we at the Hallow’s Eve Hotel

having you.

You look back at the ghost on your doorstep, but he has
disappeared.

I'm very easily scared...but whatever, I've made a resolution to become more brave! Plus none of this is real...Anyway, I'll come! I shall bring a carpet bag, so you shall never know what I might pull out of it (though it is very likely that it will involve hatstands and magical tape measures and larger mirrors because I prefer to see my whole face at a time). See you there!

Fflewddur says nvxp. Never experience? That's not right. You need experiences to grow, and all those life lessons and such. When life gives you lemons, turn them into cupcakes like Max Russo did with his orange. Et cetera.

Most certainly coming! If Masked and Bae can come, they will be attending.

Oh, and guys, this isn't going to be a horror ski lodge mystery by any means. This is Hallowen themed, but in a fun way. Not scary! Creepy, possibly, but not purposefully scary.

Dev: PIE WARS?!

St.: Did you really have to mention that? But, as usual, I can't pass this up, so I'm joining, and hauling Dev and Feather with me. (Feather, there's PUMPKIN CARVING.)

Day 1

“All right. That’s it,” says St. Owl, having finished
packing. “Now let me see, the back of the brochure said that the Hotel would
provide transport. Hmmmm…”

It’s evening, about seven o’clock. The moon was full. Stars
just starting to appear in the dark sky. The sun’s last golden rays just
disappearing behind the earth. St. Owl, a little concerned about the transport,
walks outside and looks around. Just then, there’s a chugging sound, like a
train, but at the same time, completely unlike a train. It sounded
almost…ghostly.

“Well, I’m assuming that’s my ride,” says St. to the nearest
shrub. “Well, off I go!”

A massive steam engine appears in the sky. Off in the
distance. It was far away, but even at such a distance, it looked like it
was…glowing? As it neared, St saw that it was made almost completely of bones
and metal. A skull that looked like it had once belonged to a dragon was
attached to the front, like the wooden dummy on a pirate ship. The monstrosity
landed with a loud crash, a scream of metal, and a cloud of smoke. A creature
in a conductor’s outfit leaked out of one of the cars.

“Please, come aboard, miss,” it said, smiling. Is this all of
your luggage?”

“Yes sir.” The conductor (who looked mysteriously like a werewolf)
reached down and picked up St’s bags.

“This way, please,” says the conductor as he leads St.
through the train car to her seat. Many other passengers (some alive, some
ghosts) were already seated.

“Enjoy your stay at the Hallows Eve Hotel!” the conductor
says cheerfully before walking off. The engine roars to life again. The massive
wheels turning, the train lifts into the air and takes to the sky.

“Incredible, isn’t it?” Startled, At. turns to see a girl,
about her age, sitting next to her.

“Oh, pardon me, is this seat taken?”

“No. You can stay. I love company,” says the girl, smiling.
“I’m Sydney, by the way.” The girls shake hands.

“Can I join you?” The two turn, seeing another person
standing in the doorway of their booth.

“Of course,” says St. Owl. Your name?”

“Oh, my name is
Chocobookoholic.”

“So, does anybody know where this Hollow Hotel or whatever
they call it is?” asks Sydney.

“Well, the manual says it’s in an extremely haunted forest on
the edge of Salem,”  says Sydney.

The companions smiled at each other. “COOL!” they said simultaneously.

“Wait, there’s a manual?” asks Choco, raising an eyebrow.

“Long story,” says Sydney.

*********

Finally, they arrived. Danie stepped out of the train and
stretched. “Owwwmmmph,” she moaned. That was the weirdest ride I’ve ever had.”
Joan B. stepped out behind her, as well as Somebody, Brookeira, Grasshopper,
Katydid, and a lot of other passengers. The ride had taken about an hour,
enough time for the vacationers to make there acquaintances with each other.

“Oh. My. Cheese,” breathed Maple (who was the fourth one out
of the train). Before the kids was a gargantuan hotel. It is old style in
build. It has turrets similar to a castle, but with windows. There is a staircase, leading up into the hotel, with gargantuan doors with ornately carved
brass knockers.

“That’s incredible!” says Danie in awe. Danie and Maple high-five. Just then, the doors burst open and a figure in a mask and vampire like
cloak steps out.

“Welcome one and all, to the Hallows Eve Hotel! Voted the
most haunted getaway in all of the world! Well, except for the the Haunted
Mansion, but they didn’t get the best ratings like our hotel did!” the figure
said gleefully. He waved his hands and a scroll materialized in front of him.
He took it in his hands an unrolled it. Here will be your roommates during your
stay.” He holds up the scroll.

As this seems to be the effect of some pre-All Hallow's Eve trickery, my shadowy name seems to have disappeared from your words. 'Tis a strange thing indeed.

Perhaps you, The Phantom, in your purple-fireyness power, could reverse this woeful event and let mention of me soon again lurk the darkness of your words and the All Hallow's Eve Hotel.......and your darkest nightmares......

Um, The Phantom?

You put TARDISrider in room 2 AND room 3, was that a mistake?

Cool! This sounds like so much fun!!!!! :) Katydid and Somebody, pleased to be your bedtime buddy! Warning: You might get pinched alot, just don't blame it on me.

*Puck pinches everyone*

*Everyone: JOAN!!!*

*Me: It wasn't me, it was PUCK!*

See my problem? Yah, you might want to wear longsleeves.... tootles for now!

*smacks forehead*

The last time I shared a room with you, you dropped a spider on my face and killed me (I think). Let's not have that happen again, okay?

Whatever. I didn't even pack a murder weapon. Unless you're so fragile you can die from a CD.

I probably can, but that's beside the point. We're going to have a good time at this creepy hotel on the outskirts of a haunted forest, and no one's going to be murdered! Got it?!

Sorry it took me so long guys! It's been a busy weekend. But here is day 2!

Day 2

“GOOOOOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!” the loudspeakers (which had
been placed in every room, hall, and dark, abandoned secret passage there was
in the hotel) boomed. “IF YOU WILL KINDLY MAKE YOUR WAY DOWN TO THE BREAKFAST
HALL, WE HAVE PUMPKIN PARFAIT, GHOUL GRUEL, UNDEAD OATMEAL, AND MONSTER
MUFFINS! SO COME JOIN US IN THE DINING HALL!” There was a pause. “RIGHT NOW!”
the speakers crackled off.

“Oooooh,” moaned Katydid. She rolled out of bed, still half
asleep. She staggered into their room’s kitchen.

“Tough night?” asked Joan B., who was already there. She was
standing by the stove, pouring hot chocolate into large mugs. She handed
Katydid one of them.

“Thangou,” mumbled Katydid, taking the steaming beverage.
Then a loud crashing sound, followed by a chirp and a few screams, came from
the bedrooms.

“Well, I guess grasshopper just woke up the others,” said
Joan.

Grasshopper bounced into the kitchen.

“I smell chocolate!” the excitable AE squealed.

“Here you go,” said Joan, handing a mug to her.

Then there was a blast of air and a mini sand tornado came
whirling  into the room. “Where is she!?
Where

is--THERE YOU ARE!”

Grasshopper quickly handed the mug of hot chocolate back to
Joan. “Thanks for the hot chocolate! Meet you guys downstairs!” With that,
Grasshopper zoomed out the door with Shifting Sands right on her tail. Joan and
Katydid burst into laughter.
