Music teachers. This

Music teachers. This thread is dedicated to all music teachers! What do you like about your music teacher? I go to band at the school, but I am homeschooled. The music teacher there will help with solos, etc.

My piano teacher is really weird. :):) No, really!  Most people I know are slightly scared of her!!! :):) But I've had her for seven years, so I'm used to her.  She likes me, and takes me places like the mall and buys me stuff (MMmMmMMmmm...  Cinnabon!). :):):) Good ol' Mrs. R.! :D

My teacher doesn't focus on singing much... she likes the xylophones more and stuff like rhythm sort of thing. I guess she's ok! :D :D :) :)

My violin teacher is really nice. Her only fault is that sometimes she forgets where I am in a book, and puts me back a couple of pages! She does have a big family though, (8 kids) so she has a lot to keep on her mind!:):)

I don't take any private lessons, but I have the cooooolest band director ever in the history of awesome and totally cheesy band directors!!! He is really funny and comes  up with super cheesy jokes allllllll the time! He plays every single instrument in the band!! (flute, obviously the best!!, clarinet, his best instrument, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, french horn, trombone, alto sax, and tenor sax!!! I also think he know how to play coronets and that kind of stuff and berri sax. He makes band super fun and kinda easy to learn. His name is Mr. Nelson. I play the best instrument in the band, the flute (don't worry, I like other instruments, too, but not as much). I'm in my first year of band. I love playing soooo much!

p.s. FLUTE PLAYERS RULE THE UNIVERSE!!!Smile

I'm homeschooled, too!  I teach myself the piano and the spirit flute with music books.  My violin teacher is really nice.  He lets me learn at my own pace, like all of my teachers (mom and dad). He teaches guitar, violin, and mandolin. He was teaching my cousin, Tyler to play guitar. Tyler also works at the ice cream shop that's a half-mile away, so he can get ice cream for me and Autumn and Luna!!!!!!!  Bwahahaha.

My band teacher, and choir teacher, and piano teacher is MY MOM! (: I go to a private school so there is only one teacher for all that.

At home when I practice she is always counting for me. (Sometimes it gets annoying, but it helps.) She also works on solos and duets with me.

I think she does a really good job and I am not just saying that because she is my mom. We don't have a band room at our school, though. We have to play in the balcony of the church attached. It is kind of small, but that can be fine because we will only have about ELEVEN kids in band next year.:(

P.S. Clarinet player and love it :D
