I am AUDITIONING!

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

I am AUDITIONING!

I am AUDITIONING! A real audition. The type where there is a 73 percent chance (random percent number) that you won't get a part. I know, it's not THAT big of a deal, but still... it is my first REAL audition. I'll be auditioning on Sunday... any tips? I'm not nervous, I just REALLY want a part!

Who else is getting up the courage to audition for something? How are all my fellow Cricket actors/actresses? Who else has been in Dr. Dolittle Jr, and what do you know about it?

You're all stars (AKA, fireflies ;)

Good luck! You're amazing, and I'm sure you'll do amazing. Just do your best, and accentuate (wrong word for it, but I lack the proper word) your strengths. If there's a singing audition, sing a song that's impressive enough but that you sing well. Even if you sing a super-impressive song with a ton of high notes, if you can't actually hit the high notes, it just looks bad. But if you can hit the high notes, easy, then go ahead.

As for acting, don't be shy, is all. Don't be over-the-top, but don't be afraid to really act the part.

You can do it! You're wonderful, and if you don't get this part, I'm sure you'll get another soon enough.

Make sure to tell us how it goes!

I've been in Doctor DoLittle before!

The main girl part is Emma Fairfacts. They don't have that many parts for girls. They have the circus director's wife and I guess Tommy could be played by a girl. The best thing to do is to be confident. If you mess up, keep going. You need to think that you are the biggest thing since homeade bread (Dr. Doolittle quote), but not in an arrogant way. Prepare a song or a monolouge in case they ask you to perform, and if you do a monolouge, try to do something that suprises them, like start with your back to them. Anything unique that would make you stand out. If you really want to stand out, a good idea would be to dress up like the character you are auditioning for. That way, the directors remember you. (This will probably be very embarrasing, just a heads up!)

I know you're going to o great!! Good luck!

Thank you Aquina and Joss! I made the callbacks list! Now I just have callbacks, and if I  do well with those and fit a part, I'll be on the cast list!

Thank you Moonshadow! Guess what? I got in!! I'm half of the Pushmi-Pullyu (the two-headed, two-person llama)! The other half is a girl that I don't know... I wish I could share the part with you instead!
