Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Art contest!

Art contest!

I had this awesome idea!

There will be 4 categories: Painting, sketch, model, and other, and a judge for each of them. If you want to judge one of these, please fill out this form:

Chatterbox Name:

Category want to judge:

Only two entries for entering to be a judge per person, please.

I will put each name into different hats, and this Thursday (Jan. 14), I will pull out four names, one for each category. PLEASE NO HARD FEELINGS, THIS IS ALL LUCK!

The judge cannot enter her/his own category, but  can enter others.

The day after the judges are chosen, (Jan. 15), people can start to enter! Only one entry per person per category please. They have until the 21st to enter. Judging starts on the 22nd, and can be judged anytime in the next five days.

If you have any questions, or if there's anything you don't understand, go ahead and ask!

My form:

Chatterbox Name: Butterfly

Category want to judge: Painting

I really don't knkow if this will work, but I hope it will!

I just realized I'm a judge...... XD

Here are the rules for sketching!

1. The picture should be of an animal.

2. You can ink over the lines if you want to. But if not then that's fine.

3. Please keep everything appropriate for CB. (But that goes without saying...)

You have until the 21st to submit your art!

Butterfly- I'm entering Sketching, so be prepared.

MY RULES FOR MODELING

-Entries due on the 23rd of January.

-Keep the sculpture smaller than a piece of 8x10" paper please, and less than 6" in diameter.

-The topic is Woodland Critters.

-Keep everything appropriate (no animals mating, giving birth, etc.)

-Don't feel too pressurized.

~*~ ~*~ ~*~

Have fun I guess and make sure your entries are in on time.

Does the animal have to be real for sketch, @Butterfly?

Because I've started a weird creature, fantasy, so yeah... :D

:D

D:

:D

Yay! Also, might we include a small little blurb about the artwork? Like, its name and everything. I think that's all of my questions for now, :I

Nope! It definitely doesn't have to be a real animal! And yes, captions and information is perfectly fine!

I don't want to annoy you, but can you please put up the rules for painting? Thanks so much!

And I forgot to add to my rules-

YOUR WORK SHOULD BE YOUR OWN, ORIGINAL MODEL AND NOTHING ELSE!

Exception- You can paint over a figurine or model of something that you have, as long as the "remodeling" is your own original design, pattern, etc. You can also add parts to it- example: adding wings to a monkey toy so it looks like a flying monkey from the Wizard of Oz. I guess that's not original but it is accepaible. Good luck!

Can I copy a design? Like I have this pen that looks like a squirrel, and I want to make my sculpture look like that. Is that okay?

@Scylla

Oh yeah, and, are you looking for cuteness or detail? Realistic or not?

(January 19, 2016 - 2:55 pm)

Butterfly: I said ORIGINAL. Tweak a couple things in the squirrel, like a different pose or something of the sort, and sculpt that. I have no preference to the style as long as it's quality work. (Sorry, I'm really harsh when it comes to judging art, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.) Just put out your best effort and you'll be fine.

I'm a contestant in the other category. I guess I may not have made that clear earlier when I asked what category a drawing would go in.

OHNOESOHNOES

IFORGOTTOPUTLERULLEESS.

EEEE! NO PRESSURE!

Rules for painting:

1) It has to be nature-based, for example landscape, flowers, water. Flowers in a vase count.

2) Make sure to get the whole painting in your uploaded version, and try to get good lighting thanks you.

3) No vulgar things, as we all know for the most part, and absolutely no info about yourself hidden in the image!

Also, I hope no one minds if I change the due date, because of my little slip up. So, you have until the 23rd of this month! This Saturday!

I hope this is good, owo. Have fun! Can't wait to see y'alls paintings!!!

Yes. Please put the subject you are submitting in bold at the top of the comment, then the picture, and then (this is optional) a little something about your piece of art.

Oh, and, adding MORE to my rules:

I liked Katydid's "No hidden info about yourself" rule so I'll add that to mine. It's a good rule that all the judges should have.

NEW RULE FOR MODELING!

-No hidden information about yourself in your sculpture. I don't know how it's possible to impart that information in cute little woodland critters, but you may find a way to manipulate it there. That's why I'm putting this rule up (just in case!)
