Rhyme Time!!

Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

Rhyme Time!!

Rhyme Time!!

Let's play a game, CBer friends, a game to guess and rhyme,

Just choose a name, or character, with rhyming clues we'll guess in time!

I don't think anyone will guess who I am (I've been gone for a very long while)

But we'll guess and write and laugh and pretend, all in poetry style!

Are you Everinne?

I once saw a fruit
It looked very cute
Then came a bandicoot
Which was also cute
But then the 'coot
Ate the fruit
And donned a suit
But in pursuit
Of the bandicoot
Was an owl, it made a hoot
The coot went, "Moot"
And ate its boot
But owl said "Moot"
Down to the coot
They found a lute
And also a flute
And also more fruit
And then some loot
And that is the tale of the bandicoot.

My sister and I, we play this game

and if she doesn't rhyme then it's really a shame

I'll rhyme about cats, and mice, and bats

Anything random or drawn out of hats

If it's odd or strange or slightly funny

I'll say it--as long as it goes well with 'bunny'

See what I mean? I just rhymed a word

and the end result was so very absurd

But what fun is a two person game all alone?

How can I get sister to rhyme the word phone?

The answer is simple--as easy as pie

If I wait just a year and a day and a nigh

She'll forget this cool game and think it is new

When I re-introduce it by rhyming...my shoe.

I have a friend, let's call her Doris,

She likes to call me a walking thesaurus.

Apparently I'm adept at rhyming,

Meter, eloquent language, and timing.

And speaking of timing, I'm getting a bit bored

Of the verse that good ol' Doris adored.

I'm good at it, but don't want to write right now.

I'll sign off, and I know how--

With a boom and a bang and a blubird flying free
