ART POSTING

(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)

Art stuff thread starting...NOW!  If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff!  I would love to see other people's art so post away!  They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff.  You can use any media, including digital, like I do!  Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other.  Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN!  If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing.  Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from.  You don't have to be polished with your art.  I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon.  I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why.  I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that.  If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

@Mel-xue, thank you, that was really my first attempt at shading something so big. It took up the entire page.

Sad... It posted my picture, but sideways. And the resolution  isn't that good. But at least it is up.

Also, I love everyone's artwork posted so far! It is all so wonderful, you all have amazing artist skills. I hope to see some more unique pieces. Let's try to keep this thread on the top so we can have more artists join.

I love it! And I can't see why you don't think of yourself as a good artist. THIS IS AWESOME!

Here's what I call an "abstract doodle." I just drew whatever came to mind at the moment - with pencil, crayon, highlighter, pen, marker, tape, or whatever!

I don't know what to call it. Ideas?

Oh, that is just amazing! I could never do something like that. Too many separate pictures and details. As for a name, unfortunately, I do not have any helpful suggestions. But it is a stunning picture.

@Ashlee

What do you mean you don't consider yourself a good artist? That's amazing! The shading is gorgeous!

@Kema

Oh. My. Gosh. I cannot believe that is a doodle! I especially like the eye in the middle, and the way you spread the colors out makes it look really cool. I am no good with titles, though, so I can't help you with that.

@Bluebird, thank you, but I still can't see myself as a real artist. The way my brain works with art is this: I find a sketch online that I really love, no matter how detailed (and can't be in color), and I look at the picture on the screen, recreate it in my head, and draw it on the page. No tracing, just visual perspective. But if I draw without an image to gain inspiration, then umm... well, I don't draw so good. At all. But I thank you, nonetheless.

Whoa, that's awesome! It must have taken a long time to make. I like the hands by the way. I can't manage to draw decent hands for some reason; I guess they're just difficult.

PS. My captha says 'hand'. I guess Scratchy likes the hands, too.

I think I already posted this...But anyways, I learned A LOT about shading from this one. I got lead all over my fingers!!! XD I spent a really long time on the trees.

I love it, Mei-xue! The shading is amazing and looked difficult to do. And I just love those trees on the sides.

Here is one of my other sketches, this one of a dragon eye. Surprisingly, for being a reasonably small sketch, it took a long time to do.
