ART POSTING

(Subject not going through....Third time's the charm...??)

Art stuff thread starting...NOW!  If you draw stuff, you can post it here! I draw in a sort of anime/manga/toon style, but if you don't, don't let that stop you from posting your stuff!  I would love to see other people's art so post away!  They can be OCs, fan art, or just random stuff.  You can use any media, including digital, like I do!  Just to let you chatterboxers know, I started this thread so we can share our tricks of the trade with each other.  Feel free to: ask questions about how to draw certain things, post techniques, share art, and mostly HAVE FUN!  If you draw your OCs, feel free to share information about them such as their names and that sort of thing.  Same goes for fan art since not all of us know where these characters are from.  You don't have to be polished with your art.  I myself am just a beginner at anime/manga/toon.  I'm not good at hands so if any of my hands looks particularly cruddy, you know why.  I also struggle sometimes with feet so same goes for that.  If any of you know how to draw a particularly good hand or foot, feel free to share your trick for it.

Going to post a picture of my OC, Tuxedo, if this post goes through okay.

And lastly, more me and my Pokemon. I just went and looked at the comments way far back about my last Pokemon drawing, and thanks everyone! My art skills developed while drawing Pokemon and I feel like they're the only things I really draw well.

P.S. I don't really have a shiny Umbreon or Dusk Lycanroc in a Pokemon game, this is a team that I designed for my Pokemon persona.

P.S.S. Neko says unteu. Unto? Unto what, Neko?

Oh, and one last thing, here's a Jolteon that I randomly drew but looks pretty good.

@cerinthe Your first drawing looks really good, despite the lack of hands! The dagger really does look cool, and the character design is great too. The second one (the dragon creature) looks really awesome as well, I love the shading and the texture.

@SandCat Wow, you're so good at digital art! I really like the soft aesthetic, and the colors. I love seeing your art!

@Jaybells That's really good! I love the movement in the pose, and the hair is so cool! You are so good at art.

@DoodleGirl Those are both really good! The second one is especially good, it conveys the theme really well. I've been using the MerMay prompts too, but I haven't really made anything good with them yet.

@SurroundedByBooks I really like that! I love the freckles and the pink hair, it's so cute!

@SeaWolfWhite Those are all so good! All the Pokemon are so cute (I especially like the Umbreon), and the wolf looks amazing!

This is my OC Itaka (I've posted a drawing of here on here before-- I've changed her design a little since then tho). It's on gray midtone paper, which is cool because you can make white highlights pop. I think this turned out pretty well, since I don't draw on midtone paper a lot.

I'm getting back into art! This is a fanart of Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter that I did a couple of days ago. I realized I haven't posted any art here in a very long time, oops.

Hey y'all, it's been a minute!! I've been doing a LOT of drawing lately, especially character design, and comics/storyboarding since I wanna make a graphic novel someday. Here's a page I'm really proud of.

@AW: That looks SO good oh my gosh! The hair! The shading! Your art has improved so much since you first started posting it, it's literally insane.

@Leafy: Whoaa ahh look at her!! The braid is amazing (braids are so hard!) and the colors? The determined expression?? I love it.

Have you considered entering the Webtoons short story contest? If you're looking for a place to try out the process of comic-making, that might be a good fit.

Abiii! Hey there! great job on this. I honestly really really love your style and the lineart is so clean and beautifullll! I would love to read a whole graphic novel drawn like this (and maybe I will, if you publish one haha)

@Agent Winter, that's so good! I love the white highlights, they give it really cool depth.

@Leafy, wow, that looks amazing. I'd have guessed that was Ginny even if you didn't say. I love the face and the hair and everything, and the way you colored it looks really nice, amazing job!

@Abi, hi!! I haven't seen you around for a while. Your art, as always, looks amazing, I'm in awe of how you construct characters and backgrounds, and the comic format looks great!

I drew this a couple days ago, and it turned out better than I expected.

I wanted to do Mermay this year, but I kinda forgot about it at the beginning of the month, plus I haven't had that much time for art lately, and at this point I feel like it's too late for me to catch up with all the prompts. I did draw this for the prompt 'rescued' though. I used watercolor, which I've started getting into recently, and it was very fun and relaxing to do. I was also inspired by koi fish. If I have time I'm going to try to do some more prompts, maybe one or two per week.

Wow, Leeli, the idea for a koi mermaid is so cool, and with the colors paired with the style and expression just make the whole drawing look so good!
